Find another dentist! My family went to Byrd Dental Group for about four years. They continuously recommended procedures for each of us which were often a financial burden. When a crown for my daughter went wrong, my suspicions grew with their recommendations, their ability to perform them, and the costs involved. Their billing doesn’t match insurance explanation of benefits. After reviewing only SIX visits, I found errors with FIVE of them. After SEVERAL attempts of discussing with the person in charge, she agreed that we were due $300+ refund. I called the office numerous times and kept speaking to different people because there’s a continuous changeover of employees. Some lied and said the “check was in the mail.” It took over SEVEN months to get reimbursed. Completely unprofessional and unacceptable!

The doctors and office staff at Byrd Dental have far exceeded my expectations. They have taken the time to understand my issues and clearly communicate an plan of action with me, and execute on that treatment plan with skill and compassion. This is on contrast to the last dental provider I visited that focused on treatments that were most lucrative, while utilizing junior technicians. Without the assistance of Byrd Dental Group, I am not sure where I would be.

Just don’t trust them. Such a terrible overpriced long waste of time.

Dental Byrd Dental here in Alpharetta has always provided me with best patient experience. The knowledge, professionalism, cleanliness and dedication to make sure you get your perfect smile is appreciative. I’ve had issues in the past with a previous dentist office where I didn’t feel comfortable and spent money on procedures that now Byrd Dental Group has now fixed before it resulted in bigger issues. I’m thankful. Everyone makes you feel comfortable and they are a pleasure to speak with whenever I come in.

I really hate going to the dentist but here they made me feel like it wasnt going to be a horror movie. They were all very nice and had very insightful information that they explained so that I could understand. They also provided options for treatment rather than telling me you have to have this done so your teeth fall out. They were a family and I could tell from the moment I walked in that it wasnt going to be another bad dentist experience.

Mrs. Diane was wonderful in explaining the care I need to do on my teeth, she also was very through while she did work on my teeth for a deep cleaning. Mrs. Kelly was very sweet and welcoming from my very first visit, she made me feel so comfortable. Will continue going back for future dental care.

The doctors and staff are amazing. Sonia was incredible at helping me apply my dental insurance and at helping me figure out the most cost effective solution. Dr. M is an amazing doctor.

We went for regular cleaning in 2019 .My insurance is full of paying for regular cleaning .After going there they asked deep cleaning is mandatory and charge $1200 on the spot.so we paid .after that we moved out of USA on mar 2020. Now they are sending a bill of $600 in 2021 asking like balance was forward ed . seriously these people treating patient like mad or what.please dont go to this hospital and Dont waste money .these kind hosiptal should ban by human rights people.

Everyone is very nice at Byrd Dental Group At North Point however they are slow I wish they had an faster way to see patients cause people have to go to work. But besides that Byrd Dental Group At North Point is an good place.

I love Byrd Dental! Today my fill-in procedure was done by Dr. Williamson and Noah. It was a pleasant experience from start to finish!!!! Dr. Williamson is the ABSOLUTE BEST. [Side-note: I also LOVE Linda! My daughter & I have been patients at Byrd for over a year now and NO MATTER WHAT she makes sure that we are taken care of]. This place is awesome! Unless you enjoy hard sell tactics and being charged for more than you ask for, STAY AWAY. I specifically asked for a regular cleaning that my insurance would pay 100%, but they charged me for a deep cleaning anyway. They also are very sneaky when billing you and your insurance and dont provide you with a copy of your charges and payments unless you ask. Insurance filing was also incomplete. Even after providing them documentation that the insurance company needed additional information, they ignored it and then tried to charge me after the insurance time requirement expired. My emails to them were ignored, and now they are trying to charge my husband for my portion that was not filed properly with insurance. Insurance fraud????

Im going to preface this by saying that I have been a patient at Byrd Dental for over 3 years.While they have been generous to me as a recurring customer, their professionalism is unacceptable. On numerous occasions I would arrive at my appointed time, only to have to wait for up to an hour each time. I understand this happening periodically, as offices can get busy, but this would happen almost every visit.For example, today I had an 8:30 appointment for a 3 minute post op, but by the time they sat me down, it was 9:30. The post op only took 3 minutes of their time, yet they had me seated for an hour (their office was NOT busy either).If Im scheduled for a certain time, I expect both parties to respect that time, especially if the time was chosen by the office themselves.Beyond unprofessional, after my next post op, I will not be coming back.

I was in today and saw Dr. Williamson, Nova and Diane. All were very courteous and caring and did a great job. My old Maryland bridge got knocked off during the cleaning but they took the time and care to put it back in place even better than it was. I was referred to this dentist by my insurance company. My first visit in October went great as well as my second on March 29th. Both times, my dentist recommended that I purchase a mouth guard that costs $350 after insurance. At first I was hesitant but at the second visit, I decided to do it. We set up a 7am appointment that Wednesday for me to get fitted. I was told it would only take 30 mins and I would be home in time to start working at 8. I arrived ten mins early and was allowed in after 5 mins. I was sitting in the lobby for 30 mins when I started to get anxious since I should have been done but now no one was paying attention to me. Finally the receptionist came and apologized to me that we were apparently waiting for Noah to come and do my fitting but he was stuck in traffic. That she could get the dentist to do my fitting but would rather not. I was absolutely upset for wasting so much time and that my time was not an issue for them. 7 am is early for an appointment and I’m 6 months pregnant which did not help. I was just hoping that I could get this done without having to take PTO which I have been using a lot due to my pregnancy. I was very disappointed and told them that I had to go since I need to go to work. She wanted me to reschedule but I told her I will call. To be honest, the thought of having to come back and wait some more doesn’t appeal to me. I also see the reviews that they try to upsell you so I am not sure if I really need this $350 mouth guard or not. I will be asking my insurance to refer me to another dentist that will respect me and my time.

I was a patient for two years. I thought all was good, but I recently relocated to another state. My new dentist found glue left on gums (which I could feel one spot) from two different new crowns I got at Byrd. One crown she said looked like a student did it and the last one I got she said, they didnt do you any favors. We will have to replace it eventually. I cant recommend.

Sonia at the front desk has helped me a lot through my ortho treatment. Had a little mishap but she’s making sure I get taken care of during this process.

1st I think several of these 5 star reviews are totally fake. Lots of smiling faces who will take your money, offer you unnecessary services, overcharge you and give you homec products at cosmetic dentistry prices. A 5 year grifting cash grab of an experienced that left me with the exact end I repeatedly asked not to get. No accountability and all at over 13K out of pocket. Please do yourself a favor and not be taken in by smiling faces who want your money. Find someone who will give you a fair price and quality product.

Run.....Run.....‍‍The whole team and the clinic (including DR)runs back of the MONEY to grab form the patients, once you step in they take care of everythings is the only MONEY, they dont even know how to treat the patients.Its my suggestion to STOP going to this clinic.

Aggressive dentisty, period. Staff are nice people, but you can tell they are structured around high-profit treatments/procedures and that taints the whole experience at this place. Moved to area and came here first. Told me I needed a crown, aggressive to get me to sign and schedule - I know better than to be duped, and something didnt feel right about the situation. Sought 2nd and 3rd opinion without referring to Byrd, hands-down said theres no reason to even touch the tooth but I do need to improve flossing. Friend went to same place, walked in for a cleaning, walked out with no cleaning but a quadrant gum cleaning instead plus huge bill. Was coercised, intimidated, and brought to tears. They pulled the old switcheroo with front office bringing her something to sign, deceitfully communicated the details, then hygienist swings back in and carries out the rest of the swindle. Real shame this practice brings to Healthcare. Those nice folks on the staff deserve to work for a better organization.

I would not recommend this group to anyone! I am with Humana Dental Insurance, and they (Humana) assigned these jokers. I have read other reviews that state how nice and polite the staff is, and with that I agree. What I do have problems with is quality of service. Back a couple of years ago I had all my teeth but two (2) removed, and after several X-rays, they choose two teeth to be capped to hold my bottom plate. The teeth were badly decayed inside, yet they ground them down for caps. For this service, and the set of Dentures, I was charged $2,875.00. They said these expensive set were only Temporary, outrageous!

My visit was great, very quick & efficient. The staff was very friendly as well. Would recommend to anyone in the area.

Doreen is one of the best dental practice front office experts I know. I have experienced many in my 60 years, so I know. 🙂 She is thorough, helpful, caring, a great listener and just simply takes pride in getting things right for you the first time. 🙂 Whereas you can tell when others are just punching a clock for their job, simply do not put the needs of the patient first or would rather just “wing” an answer which shafts the patient once the Billing comes in weeks if not months later, Doreen is the polar opposite making sure what she says is accurate and there are no surprises or leaving you abandoned with outrageous charges. Doreen is the “5 Star”. Upon walking in, I was immediately greeted by Linda with a pleasant smile, the staff was very courteous, the atmosphere was calming and comfortable, and not to mention, the facility was very clean, etc. Im from out of town but felt right at home. Extremely disappointed after being referred to by a coWorker. Office is extremely tense feeling, and all of my work started before COVID, waited as much as an hour with the last straw being an hour and twenty minutes. Extremely expensive $$$$$, and like others I’ve read to since moving to another city, have found out there work is really shoddy. Just do your research before choosing them.

They are crooks. For years they overcharged me for procedures I did not need. As soon as I went somewhere else I was told that I didn’t need any of the work that they were charging me hundreds of dollars for. Stay far away!

Beware. Their M.O. is to provide you with an affordable treatment plan then keep adding new charges each visit that they “forgot” to include in the plan. They do whatever they can to maximize billing. They will keep coming up with additional procedures. You will end up paying many times what you were led to expect. If you question them they will stonewall. They will lie to you. Read the reviews on Yelp. Ask other professionals about the Byrd Group reputation. I wish I had done so. If you don’t, you will wish you had done so too.

For me, finding a dental office I am comfortable with is about trust. I have found that in the North Point Office and their terrific staff. They are the nicest group of people with top level skills. I feel like they truly care and when I go into their office, I KNOW I am in good hands.

The Northpoint office staff are great! They are very skilled at what they do and it is obvious they love what they do. The staff is kind and take their time with you. I usually go during my lunch hour so being on time is important to me. I’ve never had to wait when I arrived for my scheduled appointment. I’ve recommended a lot of friends and co-workers who have shared the same experience. Two thumbs up!

I had high hopes for Byrd Dental Group after being referred by a coworker, but ultimately was left with an extremely bad taste in my mouth for the practice. I went in for my first appointment on my lunch break at work (I was told to expect a 90 minute appointment), but ended up being there for an entire 2.5 hours. I sat in the waiting room for almost 50 minutes before I was brought back for my appointment, which is unacceptable in my opinion. The technician, hygienist, and the Doctor were all wonderful and friendly and did a great job which had me feeling better until it was time to check out. My dental insurance covers all routine cleanings 100% but I was told I had to pay almost $100 at the check out desk. When I questioned the reasoning behind the charge, it was explained to me that insurance only covers 1 type of x-ray, but they do 2 different types, and that my flouride was an extra charge. That would have all been fine if someone (anyone) would have told me that before the fact. By the way, they make you do those x-rays, you don’t have another choice. It just felt like I was being swindled and I don’t care for that at all. I enjoyed the Doctor and the hygienist, so I feel bad not returning, but I did not appreciate how I was treated overall.

I was nervous about going to the Dentist on Monday. I went in for a consolation and they were able to fit me in for Gum surgery that same day. They made sure that I was comfortable and I had everything I need. The staff was friendly, funny and welcoming. They really took good care of me! They even called me to check on me. I had a question for the Doctor. I text him and he responded quick. They truly care!

First off-Dr. Williamson is nothing short of a genius his is excellent in his profession. I literally felt as if I were at a spa relaxing as he begin working on my crowns.-Kashira his assistant is knowledgeable and a master of her craft as well.I’m a perfectionist and do not have the most optimistic view of so called “professional” companies due to always consistent terrible service.-Linda at the front desk is an absolute sweet heart, you could probably ask her for the sweater off of her back and she just might give it up.-Abby is the friendliest person I’ve ever met-And last but DEFINITELY NOT LEAST DOREENShe knows Insurance billing better than an agent..DOCTOR WILLIAMSON IS THE BESTTHANKS!

I would give zero stars if I could. Not only do they rob you on their prices compared to other places, they dont follow through if they mess up. I had a root canal and crown done. The dentist did my RC and then took a mold for my crown and I was supposed to come back in two weeks to get my permanent on. When I went back, it was an old man there. Someone different from the original dentist. I told him I was still sensitive and having issues with the tooth. He assured me that was normal and continued to put my permanent on. I continued to have pain, but kept trying to see if it would die down. Finally went back. Another new dentist! The original guy was no longer there. So my crown was hitting my bottom teeth before any of my other teeth. They drilled it, said to give it a month due to all the swelling it caused. I lived in agony for another month. Went back and was told it needed filed some more and to wait. OMG!!! Continued to have pain. Went back. Told me this dentist doesnt do root canals or retreats and would have to send me somewhere else and Id pay out of pocket again for something Im already paying for through the $2000 loan I had to get from the bank in the first place. I begged for a refund it for them to fix it. They eventually stopped taking my calls. Even requested for the office manager 3 times on the phone and went in person. Absolutely nothing. Its been over a year now and Im still in pain. Just now finished paying off the $3000. Had a second opinion on the tooth and the dentist said the root canal wasnt fully completed and the tip was still there as normal. The pain I experience is awful and too broke to fix it. So disappointed in this practice and how they handled the situation. Id trust a person off the street before them.

Since I have moved around the country a lot and used several dentist in Ga I must say that Byrd Dental has satisfied all of my needs. Cleanings have been very good. Getting ready for some major work and I like that they explained cost, treatment time, and a really good payment method.

Dr. Williamson and his staff are excellent and second to none! Liz & Lynda provide world class service and professionalism. My visits are always timely, their notifications are great reminders and rescheduling is a breeze. On my recent visit Dr. Williamson made sure my bite was perfect after replacing two crowns. I would highly recommend this office to anyone and everyone!

Best dentintist office I have ever been to! The office is beautiful, organized, and clean. The front office staff is so friendly and made me feel welcomed and relaxed. The hygienist and dental assistants were friendly, knowledgeable, and enthusiastic with my cleaning and recommendations about my oral health care. I was very disappointed with the way in which my account was handled.After giving my dental insurance information at the time of making the appointment, I was asked to pay over $90 at the appointment only to find that my dental insurance paid my bill, I was never informed of the credit on my account at the dental practice and when my statement arrived in the mail and I queried it with the dental practice, it has taken 2 months and I still have not been paid back the amount I was asked to pay at the time of the appointment.I will not be using this dental practice ever again for this reason.😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡

I went there yesterday, took advantage of free consultation, free x-ray for new patients. Doreen the manager, Dr Williamson and his nurse assistant were very pleasant and helpful. I needed to extract a rotten tooth. I negotiated the price and payment, and when it was agreeable, I decided to get it done same day. I was lucky they had an opening. I must say they did a good job. Ive been going to Byrd Dental Group for nearly 2 years now and they never cease to amaze me. The staff is so kind and polite, even if you look like you woke up dead from the previous night haha. You always feel their genuine concern and care for you. Im moving a little further away soon, but I still plan on using them for my dental needs.

Exceptionally efficient throughout the process, from check=in to treatment.From 70 years of experience at dentists, I felt I was in the presence of extremely knowledgeable and experienced individuals, from dental assistants, on up to the dentist.Unlike so many other dentists Ive been to, it was obvious they placed equal emphasis on my choice of alternative, future treatments that were expensive and those that were less so. I have found so many dentists (among other processions) that emphasize the more expensive alternatives and attempt to ease the patient toward the more expensive procedures. I found absolutely none of that here.Some of the reviews earlier than mine have taken the opposite position. My experience to date indicates that any such negative reviews are misplaced and probably arose because the review simply reflects an unfounded assumption that that is what dentists do. I believe the practice is widespread, and one must be wary of it, but I believe strongly that that is not done at Byrd Dental Group. The REASON I believe that is, when I showed interest in the LESS expensive procedure they were quick to point out that it was an appropriate and effective procedure in all respects. In other words, in no way did they discourage me from the less expensive choice or extol the virtues of the more expensive choice over the less expensive one.

Byrd Dental Group at North Point is a Highly professional team; even when youve had a really bad week/month the team always have comforting words. Thanks Doreen for being there and making sure my care was on point.

Everyone was so helpful with my family of four visiting. Everyone including Doreen at checkout knew so much about the dental procedures. There was never any pressure to do something you were uncomfortable doing and even my kids loved it there! Granted we have many things going on in two separate visits, they remembered us and knew anything that needed to be done would need to be prioritized! They were great in helping with that. I really like this office -they are very friendly and helpful. The staff are great at explaining procedures, aftercare, insurance details, payment etc. I appreciate that they do not try to upsell you (i.e.- unnecessary cosmetic dental work) and that the dentist is very focused on preventing an issue from growing further and/or reversing it where possible. I like his more conservative approach. My daughter & I will definitely be returning here for any future dental work.

Classic BAIT & SWITCH! Be warned.I saw their FB promotion for free teeth whitening with exam. I called, they said, with insurance the exam would be covered and Id receive the whitening kit. It didnt go that way.They did the exam and told me my mouth was *SO* messed up it needed more than just a basic cleaning. They told me my cleaning would cost $500+. I was like, cant afford. So, they swiftly ended my appointment time in the chair.So, next, Im at the front desk... wait for it.....*PAYING THEM*!!! Yes... they explained how the special pictures of my mouth were not covered fully, which they took without informing me that Id be charged extra, right? I was totally disgusted! Another bunch of rippin off crooksters praying off the expecting victims...Be warned. The promotion is a trap.

I went in for a check up and cleaning for the first time at this location and my experience was terrible! My X-rays took almost an hour because their was a trainee who had no clue what she was doing and after this grueling experience, I was given a quick 10 minute cleaning that left me unsatisfied compared to my other usual cleanings that I have received. I would not recommend anyone to go here, waste of both money and time.

Made an appointment for a cleaning, x-rays, and dr exam with their web promo price. After being in there almost three hours - I did not get my cleaning, but I did get too many x-rays, and had to wait for long periods. Then, only to be told my cleaning was going to be 1200.00 plus I had to come in for four follow up appointments. I was not happy to have to experience this bait and switch procedure - just for this practice to try and upsell clients more for their benefits. Yes, I felt I was deceived with what I was expecting to receive as fair practice regarding what they advertise through their web promo special (A real CLEANING). They never indented to give me or anyone a cleaning for this web offer (Not Good). These is not an unusual occurrence for many dentist offices. Beware of these bad practices here there and other places as well.

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!!!! This place is unethical at best!!! The front office staff is very nice and the dentist that treated was nice until he got halfway through doing my crown and stated that my gums were too high to fit the crown comfortable. Mind you, I knew I needed the crown for yearrrsss and my prior dentist never suggested that I needed this surgery and when my prior dentist passed away, his replacement never suggested this either. I only went here because I had a change of insurance. The insurance denied the treatment and so I had to pay $900.00 out-of-pocket. I was out of options because Dr. Papp stated that he could not complete the procedure without me first having the surgery done. Therefore he referred me to someone that could do it. I believe that it was a scam to generate more revenue. Also at my last appointment, I saw another dentist for my cleaning and he suggested that I had a cavity and needed all of this additional work. Funny, being Dr. Papp didnt say that and I had just saw him a few months prior. Anyhow, fast forward to yesterday and I went back to my prior dental group and the dentist not only confirmed that I did not have any cavities, he also confirmed that there was no need for me ti have had that invasive surgery either!!!! I am appalled and disgusted by the ethics of this office. Not to mention they overcharged me on two separate occasions to the tune of $400-$500.00 of which I caught by looking at my dental fees. The excuse that I got was ohhhh we just put the schedule in there but it hasnt been updated. Nooooo, had I not said anything, you would have let it go. You dont forget to collect my money at the end of each visit, so how did you forget something as important as billing?? SHADY, SHADY SHADY. PATIENTS BEWARE!!!

Please RUN! The biggest scam artist. They are all about getting as much money as they can. I have Aetna DMO, nothing is ever covered. I even had my insurance call them directly and they gave my agent the run around and didnt call back. You will always need the highest treatment and pay the most for mediocre performance.Run as fast as you can!!! Never again! Lots of bogus charges for service you dont need!!!

I dont think they are worth even one star, please see me comment below.Unprofessional and CAN NOT TRUST them at all! All they want is to take your money without sincerely treat you! I want to reveal this to who wants to make appointment there.I made an appointment to do annual teeth cleaning, but after they did the X-ray and two dentists reviewed my teeth, both of them said I need to do further treatment because they think there are bacteria in my teeth and gave me a long list about each treatment and the total cost up to $1200. I requested if they could do the cleaning to my teeth first, they refused! And they said I need to finish all treatment in the list first. So I left and went to find another dental group to check if my teeth are really bad as Byrd said.I didnt mention any of my situation in Byrd in another dental group. Again I did the X-ray and the hygienist did the cleaning and the dentist came to check up my teeth. All my teeth are good without cavity and backteria! Until now my teeth are still good without problems!I will never never go to Bryd dental again, totally lose my trust!

Went here years ago, they told me I had gum disease (everyone does btw) and wanted to do about $300 worth of treatments. Went back to my regular dentist, he maintained that I was indeed NOT due for planing and scaling. Never again.. This is the second time in Alpharetta.

The online special $39 exam & x-rays for new patients only! as advertised on their website will actually cost you $70 to include Fluoride Varnish, otherwise, clean office/ environment and friendly staff especially the hygienist.
