It was my first time here, and the experience was outstanding! From the moment I walked in and saw Mia’s friendly smile to her final goodbyes, the environment, the staff, the service quality - everything exceeded my expectations! They strive to educate here. Some of the images they have on the wall scared me at first but then I began asking questions and learned so much!I loved that they have no TVs anywhere but play pleasant Christmas music. They also had a cozy blanket to help me relax. Their state-of-the-art equipment impressed me for sure: they took 21 X-rays of my teeth and displayed those for me in real time. The price for the exam, cleaning, and irrigation without insurance was only $119 which is the best in Atlanta. The doctor was patient, she has the heart of a teacher. I absolutely can’t wait to come back again and maybe even see Vanessa’s newborn daughter in those office pictures!I highly recommend this dental office.

Since 0 wasn’t a option I couldn’t give it. Today after 2 years and high anxiety I ventured back to crabapple smiles after a messed up crown removal and 4 hr attempt to find a root. Only to sit there in the X-ray area for 20 minutes. They have no help and can’t do business. I was told last week a hygienist quit so my appointment was moved out. I forgot to mention I had to get another root canal since they couldn’t get it done after 4 hrs. I left and no one knew or called and asked.

A big thank you to the staff and providers at Crabapple Smiles! From the moment I walked in, they made me feel comfortable and at ease.Kathy was very extremely friendly and competent. I watched her smoothly balance several office tasks and assist patients all with a smile in her voice. She asked each patient how their visit was and if there was anything else they needed before they left.Arlynda was my hygienist. She was very skilled and could sense my anxiety. She was extremely gentle and thorough with my cleaning. My teeth feel terrific. My Dentist, Dr Kwon was very knowledgeable. She discovered a major issue and took the time to double check, and then inform me of what she was seeing and what my options were. The entire time I was there I got the sense that each of them truly cared about my dental needs.I would highly recommend Crabapple Smiles to anyone!

Having never been a fan of going to the dentist, I can say I never regret going here and would recommend this office to anyone hesitant of the dentist’s chair. What more could you ask for....this is the most responsive and caring dental office I’ve encountered in the north Atlanta area. It’s Friday and I’m in pain, but all the dentists are closed, booked or don’t call back to follow up. Kathy with Crabapple Smiles not only answers the phone, she says come in right now when I tell her I’m hurting. How rare it is to find any office in the medical/dental field that cares like that anymore! I won’t be going anywhere else ever again. And, even more of a surprise is that they take my insurance! I feel like I’ve won the lottery! Thank you so much!

My experience was exceptional. The front ladies were extremely sweet and patient with me and made sure paper work and insurance were in order with very little effort on my end. My X-ray technician was gentle and genuinely cared about my comfort level. Dr. Kwon and Linda were detailed and informative with my examination. They made sure I didn’t have any questions or concerns, went over my xrays thoroughly and in depth so that I understood the areas of my treatment. The cleaning was done with great care ans my teeth look and feel the best they ever have been! All staff I came in contact with were positive, detailed, genuine, professional, and provided top of the line service. I am exceptionally pleased with this office and for the first time ever I look forward to my next cleaning!

Do not go here! They quoted me an amount on a quote agreement for some work in order to make the appointment but on the day of the procedure they overcharged me by $225 above the agreed quote. When I contacted them they stated they had made a mistake yet they made me pay for their mistake and never refunded me the overcharge. I wrote a review because their manager was also extremely rude and ignored emails sent to her. They are money hungry and do not care about keeping their patients. Me and my family are never going there again and they just lost 3 paying patients for not caring.

I let COVID-19 sway me from doing further research due to what I thought were limited choices. Dont make the same mistake. Research your practitioners BY NAME and chose carefully. There are still good doctors out there willing to work and help others. They are forgetful. On the day of my oral surgery, they had only one of the two grafts needed to complete my operation. They gave me the option to wait 45 minutes for them to acquire another one or return another day to have the surgery done. I chose to wait rather than schedule another day off work (This was the sign and I didnt see it. I should have left and never returned). After I left, still foggy from sedation, they call me the following day and say that I left my stay-plate again. I could not return that day because I had just taken a pain pill and wasnt in shape to drive. I did, however, return the following day to finally get my stay-plate. By this time I couldnt get it fitted due to the swelling of my gums after surgery. I had to sign a form saying that I took it home without getting it fitted. This is only half of my bad experience. My surgical experience was TERRIBLE. Dr. N. Williams was my oral surgeon. I had opted for deep sedation and paid extra for it. I was given an IV and was soon aware of nothing UNTIL mid-surgery. I was awake and feeling like I was drowning, thank goodness the Novocaine was still working in my gums. I kept trying to point at the nurse who was suctioning the fluids from my mouth during my procedure and point at my mouth. She didnt get the message! She was only suctioning fluids around the site where the work was being done meanwhile fluids were pooling up in the back of my throat (thank God I could breathe out of my nose). Apparently the nurse thought I was trying to interfere with the surgery and held my arms down while continuing to do a bad job. She only suctioned the back of my throat AFTER the surgery was complete. They sent me home with my husband, telling him everything went well. ACCORDING TO WHO?!After the operation, I returned to Dr, Kwon (I liked her. It is everyone else in the office that seems incompetent). I shared my experience with her and expressed my dissatisfaction with everything. She said she would talk to Dr. Williams and was glad that came in to share my feelings. She said that I should return to Dr. Williams and tell him how I was feeling. The appointment was made, but my trust was gone. I canceled, feeling like it would be a waste of time and would only make me angrier. Dr. Kwon did talk to Dr. Williams about what I told her. The surgeon, Dr. Williams, called me personally. I asked why I woke up in the middle of the operation. He said, you stopped breathing so I had to back off the sedation so you would start breathing on your own again. Me, so what medicine was used Dr. Williams, I dont know. I dont have your chart in front of me. I asked why my arms were held down when I was trying to signal for help. He said, any movement during the surgery could negatively impact the work being done and some dentist chairs have straps to hold arms down. I said, if I saw restraints on the chair I would have walked right out of the room. I still had a lot of bleeding from my sinuses running down my throat and his advice was Sudafed and Afrin nasal spray. He continued to defend himself and his nurse and never apologized. I finally decided to find another dentists office and get my follow up from another doctor (easier said than done). OTHER DOCTORS DONT WANT TO FOLLOW UP ON ANOTHER DOCTORS WORK DUE TO LIABILITY ISSUES! THIS IS WHY YOU SHOULD RESEARCH AND CHOOSE CORRECTLY THE FIRST TIME.I had a complicated surgery because the root of my tooth went into my sinus cavity. A week after my operation I was still bleeding down my throat from my sinuses. 10 days later I finished my antibiotics and infection was setting in; I followed all of the post-op instructions. It has been 2 weeks and two days since my surgery and I am still looking for help. Im on more antibiotics and hoping.

Just finished another great treatment from Dr. Sarah Johnson and her highly professional staff. I’ve had some major dental work done through the years and Crabapple Smiles is an amazing and comfortable experience. Would highly recommend this team to anyone for complete and thorough care at very reasonable prices. State of the art equipment helps make it easy and relaxing!!Update on 2/26/2019- had to have an emergency crown done and Dr Johnson and the team got me in right away even though they were solidly booked for the day. A short while later I was completely done with a new permanent crown made in the office and no return trip needed. Very thankful for this practice and the smooth pain free treatments available!

I believe the positive reviews for this office are not real. Very unprofessional office. After a 40 minute conversation, an appointment was made for me with a specialist. I was supposed to receive forms to fill out by email, and had not received them by the morning of my appointment. I called the office and asked to have them resent only to be told that I did not have an appointment at all. In addition, after explaining why I was coming in, I was told that the specialist would not see me anyway for this type of problem. Ever. No concern for this mistake. They were not interested in tracking down what happened, or following up. Terrible situation that they did not even take responsibility for it.

Please do not waste your time and money with Crabapple smiles. Dr. Kwon told me (very rudely) that I had 7 cavities and that if I kept going at this rate, all my teeth would fall out. She treated me so poorly and made me feel so bad about myself, telling me to stop drinking soda and eating candy, both of which I never ever do. I then went to another dentist (Dr. Brian Davis from Family Dentist in Marietta) to get a second opinion (before spending $800 on getting 7 cavities filled) and he told me that I had “not even a hint of a cavity” and that my teeth were in perfect condition. I would highly recommend Dr. Davis, he was much more professional and kind than the dentist at Crabapple Smiles. I am someone that believes that the most important thing is how you make people feel, and Dr. Kwon and the Crabapple Smiles staff made me feel so terrible for absolutely no reason, not to mention trying to scam me for $800. Do yourself a favor and steer clear of Crabapple smiles.

I felt extremely safe and well-informed in the presence of the dentist, Dr. Kwon, and the other staff. They took excellent precautionary measures to ensure the patient’s safety during this COVID-19 pandemic without sacrificing the patient’s comfort or time. Crabapple is the right name for this office. The dentist will tell you scary things to encourage you to have certain procedures done and then once they have emptied your pockets your teeth are worse than before they touched you. Consider this prior to booking an appointment. Im being very honest. The positive reviews may not be actual clients, I have uploaded bills and photos of my mouth after the dental work to validate.

For crying out loud! I don’t recall reading the reviews before coming to this practice a year ago. I have had many hiccups with seeing dentist in GA.I am home visiting (KS) and I was just told the root canal performed at this office has a cavity under the crown!!!! My hygienist (back home) mentioned there’s no way this should be the case because I am not high risk of any oral complications nor am I diabetic (so on and on). So, I am now having to pay out of pocket again for dental work on the same molar. This practice is such a disappointment! I am STILL waiting for a phone call about financial issues from a YEAR AGO! READ THIS BEFORE YOU GO TO CRABAPPLE FROWNS:I wish I could give ZERO STARS.Save yourself the time, headache and money. I had Dr. Johnson install the “top of the line” crown back in December of 2017. They guarantee this crown for minimum 5years (so they say) and approximately 2.5yrs (April 2020) down the road my crown pops clean off during flossing. Ironic part of this story is Dr Johnson is no longer with them. The crown is still fully intact and they’re unwilling to correct the issue. I’ve had to move to Tennessee (for work, same reason I was living in Alpharetta GA) for about 1.5years now. Apparently this voids their guarantee if you do not get your teeth cleaned AT THEIR LOCATION every 6mos. Keep in mind the first time I went there, they told me how clean I kept my teeth and how good it is that I have tight contact between all my teeth. So if you ever plan to move or ever have any complications with these people, you will void all warranties that you have on any work they perform unless you go to their location for the life of your dental work. My current dental insurance provider requires at least 10yrs before paying for a crown replacement.. so now I’m going to have to get a molar extracted on my dominant side. I STRONGLY ADVISE THAT YOU THINK ABOUT WHERE YOU’RE GOING BEFORE YOU COMMIT TO THIS PLACE.I still have the crown and advised the team at Crabapple Smiles that I’d be willing to drive 4hrs back to Alpharetta to let them correct this but they’ve refused to make this right. So here’s my review. I’m still with only a stub of a tooth. DON’T DO THIS TO YOURSELF WHILE YOU STILL HAVE THE CHOICE.Edit: I had fillings on 3 of my molars since I was a kid (Didn’t have the best brushing habits back then). The crown mentioned above was to replace the filling on my lower right side that a piece had broken off over the course of probably 10-12years and was becoming sensitive. They were also trying to convince me to get my other 2 fillings replaced with crowns. And I couldn’t be happier that I decided against it. I also couldn’t afford it at the time because the one crown they did already cost me $900 after dental insurance!

I absolutely love this practice! I have had really bad experiences in the past that contributed to my fear of dentists, but from day one, the entire staff was very sweet and accommodating to my fears, walking me through every step before anything was done. Prior to starting any work on me, my benefits were checked and fully explained, and I was able to chose the services that best fit my budget. Finally, Dr. Workman came in, also super nice, and was very gentle and even stayed pretty late to finish the work that I required.Yesterday, I had a root canal scheduled with Dr. Chinchilla. Again, my anxiety was through the roof. His assisting staff were not the ones I had met with Dr. Workman, but just as sweet and kind, as was Dr. Chinchilla. I FELT NOTHING! The pinch of the anesthesia needle wasnt even that bad. Very gentle hands. I hope I never need another root canal, but if i do, I will only schedule it with him.I dont know what they put in the water, but everyone here is so sweet and I would highly recommend them to anyone!

I had previously been under dental care by the same provider for over 10 years. I only looked for a new provider because they went out of network with my current Cigna plan. I am an easy patient, with twice yearly check-ups, no major issues and a minor cavity once. Everything else was good to go and my dentist teased that I would be the perfect oral donor if that ever came up.After taking full x-rays and having a technician come in for the initial look through, Dr. Kwon came in for her assessment. I had mid-grade periodontal gum disease, that required a deep cleaning as a basic cleaning was no longer an option, teeth fractures that required fillings not to be confused with a cavity, severe teeth grinding issues that required invis-aligners, a severe cavity that was a-symptomatic but required a root canal and a cavity in a different tooth. Because of all of these issues, there were more pressing needs than a cleaning which was not done at this visit. I was shocked as I had just had one of my bi-annual check-ups 6 months prior with my normal dentist. She said that it didnt surprise her that the issues were missed by my previous dentist because his office is now a corporate run office.I decided to go back to my normal doctor since this was so extreme. Surprise, none of the issues she said were accurate. MY prior dentist took his time to walk my back from the proverbially ledge covering in detail each issue that Dr. Kwon said I had. At the end of the day, I didnt have any of the issues as she described and I didnt require over $2,000 of out of pocket treatments.I cannot stress enough that Dr. Kwons is totally misleading. You feel like youre in a professional environment that has the patients best interest at heart. The staff is totally amazing and super nice. You feel that youre in a place thats current with the times by checking in on iPads, has new technology x-rays, has in-room electronics and TVs to walk you through everything they see and everything down to your electronic patient file without leaving the comfort of the over-sized chair. Every person that crosses your path has a big smile, talks calmly and walks you through everything step-by-step. I try to give Dr. Kwon the benefit of the doubt because of my conversation and trusting relationship with my usual dentist and how he explained the differences in treatment approaches. However, I do find it ironic that the corporate dentist that missed all of these issues had me in and out in under an hour, still had me dealing with smiling, professional faces, a computer check in process, in room high tech x-ray units, all my medical files electronically visible in the room, with the nice over-size comfy chair with my own TV in the ceiling where I can watch my favorite show to distract me from being in a dental chair. Yet, he managed to get me in and out without charging me a dime like he always does for my bi-annual care.

They hire very inexperienced dentists who made me feel like they were still in training. I had one young lady break a needle off in my cheek while trying to administer novocaine. Then their equipment broke in the middle of a root canal. No one had a clue how to even work the equipment let alone fix anything. They had to move me rooms and then while in the middle of the root canal said they forgot to tell me there were going to be more charges. IN THE MIDDLE OF A ROOT CANAL. This is the worst dentist office I have ever been to. I was told from Dr. Johnson that I should see their periodontist due to some recession on my two front teeth. I went ahead made an appointment, and moved forward with the surgery. The first time around, I was given absolutely NO post-op care instructions, and on top of that, the surgery did not take. Dr. Bristol Williams did my surgery, and her customer service and chair side manner was absolutely horrendous. Without informing me of any possible side effects, she performed surgery number 2. I noticed from the second I got home that something did not seem right. Over the next few weeks and months, I went into the office almost every week to speak with Dr. Johnson, and Dr. Williams about my concerns, and was aways told Do not worry, it will heal. I am now 7 months post-op, have a hole in my gums between my two front teeth, and have to floss after every single meal to remove the food that now gets stuck in between my teeth. I have been to 3 other gum specialists to see if there is anything they can do, and unfortunately this is now permanent, and they are afraid to touch my gums, as they think it will make them worse. After all this, all they had to offer me was free teeth whitening (which they gave me enough to last maybe 2 weeks). I would not have even needed to whiten my teeth if all the medicine/ mouthwash I was prescribed from the surgery did not STAIN my teeth. I was eventually told by Dr. Williams that everyone heals differently and she is sorry, there is nothing she can do. I am 27 years old and now have to live with this for the rest of my life. If you care about your dental hygiene, think twice before ever stepping foot into this office or any office that Dr. Bristol Williams works out of.

Then the same finance person said they lowered the price for a certain service that was a little pricy to help me out without even me prompting to do so. That was another red flag. These people charged me for my dental cleaning instead of having it covered under my free plan. They are taking advantage of the people that live in that area who seem to be less knowledgable about their health plans and how much it should cost them. I hope this place learns to not rip people off. Please dont go here if you are looking for genuine care and appropriate costs.

I recently saw Dr. Johnson because of some gum issues I was having and I couldn’t be more impressed. She’s kind, thoughtful and a lot to fun to talk to! The biggest thing I noticed between her and my previous dentist is how much she cared about me and making sure I got the right treatment for me. My old doctor made me feel like I was always being upsold on a more expensive treatment option so that he could make more money. When talking to Dr. Johnson she understood my situation and suggested treatment options while explaining their advantages and disadvantages. I felt more knowledgeable and not as if I was being pressured into the most expensive treatment for the sake of making money. You can tell she really cares about her patients and that makes me feel so comfortable with her being my dentist for the foreseeable future.
