Very good bedside manner. Overall great staff. I traveled an hour and a half to see this surgeon as well as for follow up appointments for rotator cuff surgery. The surgery was great. I healed well and they do make you feel welcomed.

Reference to Illinois Ortho through the VA.The Dr. performed a physical examination of my shoulder and explained the surgery very completely. It was a great experience and looking forward to my future with this Dr.

Dr Izquierdo did the surgery on my right shoulder to repair a detached and torn ligament. He has a lot of confidence in his ability and my progress shows I’m getting all my movements back. I’m very thankful for his expertise and capabilities to perform these surgeries.

Second shoulder surgery performed by Dr. Izquierdo and I have nothing but great things to say about him and those he works with! Each appointment prior to the surgery was professional while still feeling welcoming. He was clear and concise when discussing the labrum tears in my shoulder and how they were going to perform the operation. As I said previously - this is my second shoulder surgery for labrum tears through Dr. Izquierdo and both shoulders have had zero post-op complications. Additionally, they have both regained full functionality and mobility. If you need to have your shoulder issues diagnosed/dealt with then I HIGHLY recommend setting up an appointment with Dr. Izquierdos office.

Dr. Izquierdo has been my “go to” surgeon for shoulder issues the past nine years. He manages to make things better than I ever thought they could be. He is also an excellent communicator.

I don’t know why people give this doctor five starts.He can not take patients with complex cases.He saw my husband and because he has a underlying condition refer to other ones and did not care. What a shame!! He is not a good doctor Also the waiting time to see him is ridiculous. It is not worth the time! Definitely much better physicians out there!!

Yesterday, Dr. Izquierdo did a thorough exam, and suggested cortisone for what he (correctly) diagnosed as bursitis in my right shoulder. Today, there is no pain and I feel my shoulder is back to normal. He is the 2nd OrthoIllinois doc Ive seen with excellent results!

Having been through 3 prior Rotator Surgeries, I now needed a reverse Shoulder replacement. Dr. Izquierdo did the reverse shoulder replacement on me. The actual surgery went perfectly, pain was manageable and so far the results have been very very good. I truly made the perfect selection to have Dr. Izquierdo perform the procedure. I find it so interesting that the entire staff at Ortho has a precise way of doing things, and each has there own specialized task to do (not jack of all trades master of none). It was also reassuring to hear the pre-op staff say that Dr. Izquierdo wanted things done a certain way and everyone seemed on task. PA Marie also assisted in this procedure, and since I never received an eval for her, she too has a 5 star rating in my book!

About six or seven years ago Dr. Izquierdo performed a torn rotator cuff surgery on my right shoulder. As of today my shoulder and rotator cuff are still absolutely perfect. I want to thank Dr. Izquierdo for his amazing skills and care.

This facility is very efficient you do not have to wait very long. And they seem very organized everything goes smoothly. I only gave a four because I didn’t actually get to see the doctor but instead saw his PA she seemed very capable knowledgeable and I did not feel I was getting inferior service but could only get a five if I actually saw the doctor.

My surgery was very successful. After visiting with him today. I see your reassured that doing the surgery was the best thing I could have done. The latest X-ray show everything looks great and I am progressing wonderfully. I was suffering from shoulder pain for many many years. I finally started to see many different orthopedic drs. Started off with cortisone injections. Did that for over a year until dr. Cut me off. Said I would need surgery. I wanted. Second opinion and was referred to dr. ROLANDO Izquierdo.Met with dr. Izquierdo and started the journey to a pain free shoulder. Dr. Izquierdo explained what was going on inside my shoulder and explained how he was going to fix it.I had a full torn rotator cuff, bone spur, bursitis and bicep tendonitis. After the surgery my arm was in a sling for a month. 2 weeks after surgery i was in physical therapy. Listening to dr. Izquierdo and following physical therapy protocols is a key factor to full recovery. I am very happy with the outcome. No more pain while getting dressed, I am able to throw a ball without pain. Highly recommend dr. Izquierdo.

Staff are all very welcoming and professional from check in to the medical staff. I have been having severe pain and limited movement of my left shoulder due to osteoarthritis, I was given a lubricant Injection for the first time and I can feel a difference already. All options were discussed and all my questions were addressed. Even though the facility was very very buzy I never felt rushed.

I have had other work done by Dr Izquierdo with very good results and the issue that I was dealing with on this visit was way better news than expected. Good job.

Back in March of 2018 I suffered a total rupture of a pectoral tendon. After explaining what had happened the scheduling staff worked with Dr. Rolando Izquierdo to squeeze me in as soon as possible. He examined me and said I’d need surgery to reattach the tendon. He clearly explained this would be a long and boring recovery, he wasn’t wrong. While recovering over the past several months, I saw both Dr. Izquierdo and his PA, Marie Rivers. Both are very polite, compassionate, and take the time to answer all my questions. Dr. Izquierdo did my left arm which turned out very well and is now going to do my right which also had damage. Also found severe arthritis in my elbow and sent me to Doctor Kenneth Korcek and Rockford who I was also very pleased with. My only complaint would be that I could not find any two-for-one coupons or get three surgeries get one free at his office.LOL Good Doctor

I had surgery by Dr. Rolando Izquierdo six months ago to remove a torn meniscus. After surgery I started rehab, which wasnt going very well do to swelling. A little over a month after surgery I received a cortisone injection which seemed to help. I was then able to finish therapy and return to work. About two months after the first injection I received a second and was scheduled to receive some kind of lubricant injection, all to be done by the physicians assistant, because I never spoke to Dr. Rolando Izquierdo after he performed the surgery. A little over a month after having the second cortisone shot, my knee started hurting again. Feeling something was wrong, I scheduled an appointment with another doctor. I was then sent for another M.R.I. which came back worse than the first. Instead of a torn meniscus, I now have a torn meniscus, a 6mm piece of cartilage floating in the joint and four cysts, which may be caused by the floating cartilage. I wonder why Dr. Rolando Izquierdo never had time or made time to speak with me after surgery. Could it be he knows he screwed up? He left everything to the physicians assistant to handle. This is only my opinion. If I seem a little bitter... youre right because he gets paid for this surgery, as I prepare to go through another surgery. Hes no star in my opinion. Thanks for nothing Dr. Rolando Izquierdo and Ortho Illinois!

Did a great job repairing my right shoulder rotator cuff and bicep. Did all the therapy as per doctors instructions with Centegra Physical therapy department. 6 months back to using arm same as before the rotator cuff was damaged.Thanks you doctor and staffRoger
