This review is not a reflection of the doctors—I have yet to see them (I am a brand new patient). This review reflects the horrific experience I have every time I’ve had to call and speak to the receptionist who answers the phone. The disrespect is egregious and appalling. I look forward to my first visit so I can complain in person to the doctors—they should know that whoever answers their phone is the “face” of their practice and as a receptionist/front desk worker, you should have basic manners and etiquette. Please note, I have called three or four times, on different dates/times—so it is NOT her just having a “bad day.” Every time I call I am cut off mid-sentence, my concerns and questions are dismissed, it becomes an argument before I can get anywhere. Please—hire someone else to answer your phones and schedule/reschedule appointments for your patients. I have idea why this woman is so angry and rude and acts like she hates everyone and everything. There is absolutely no excuse for anyone to be that unprofessional and disrespectful.

Went to this women’s clinic to address a bothersome cosmetic female condition and willing to self pay but was completely dismissed as medically un-necessary. I ended up going to a different place that only had a male dr who was willing to do the procedure. What happened to women caring for women’s “whole” well-being healthcare? If something is bothering a patient that much shouldn’t the dr be willing to address?I won’t be going back because they weren’t willing to help me.

Ive been working with Jessica Flynn on getting birth control, and I have to say she has been the most attentive and thorough obgyn ive ever been to. I can in to talk about getting an iud and she explained all the different types and side effects as well as what she thought the best option for me was. She gave me a pamphlet for every option they offered and had me schedule the insertion for a few weeks later to make sure this is what I wanted.Im not sure about the whole office, but I highly recommend seeing Jessica!

This was the worst Doctor experience I have ever had and I never even was able to see the Dr. Apparently there is a weight limit policy on who these Doctors will see. Your BMI must be under 30. I called to make my first Dr. Appointment for my pregnancy. I was asked the typical general questions and then the woman on the phone asked my height and my weight. I thought it was strange but I answered. Then she quickly said oh we cant take you we are not a high risk office I politely said, excuse me? She said we have a weight policy and your BMI would be too high. I then said that is rediclous this is my 3rd pregnancy and my other two were perfectly normal pregnancies I didnt even have so much as high blood pressure? She says, Sorry but we have the right to turn anyone away.. and if I would like she can refer me to a specialist. Who by the way was over an hour away. I later find out my best friend and my sister are both at this practice for their pregnancies. Funny how they have BMIs of under 30 but both are over 35 which makes them high risk being Advanced maternal age (which I am not) and one who has gestational diabetes also high risk (and I dont have). So as far as their answer as to why they cant take me, because they are not high risk Doctors? Then why are you taking my two high risk friends? Sounds like discrimination to me. I could see if I walked in there with all these problems and then you said it would be best if I saw a high risk Dr. But you didnt even let me walk in the door. Shame on you Midwest Center for Womens Health, one would think you would stand for all woman being a Center for Womens Health, instead you discriminate heavy women. I will also have you know I called 4 other practices (who were not high risk Doctors) and asked if they had a weight policy, every office was shocked at my question and said they would never turn someone away for being over weight. So I hope all the other Doctors in the area get the business of all the heavier women around here and that maybe even the under 30 BMI women who are allowed to enter your practice, would question your discriminatory policies and reconsider going here as well.
