Dr Bohnenkamp explains everything had right knee done last yr had no problems. Having problems with right hip and had cortisone shots which only lasted a week and he suggested a different kind of therapy.

I love this doctor! I have had many surgeries, and seen many doctors. But I love Dr. Bohnenkamp! He is so positive about everything, while still telling you everything involved in the surgery and post surgery. And I think he did a fantastic job on my surgery. He is extremely thorough in pre-op and post-op instructions. I never feel rushed with him - he answers all questions thoroughly. Dr. B. was very friendly when he came into the room. This was the first time I met him. I declined to get an injection because I know how much they hurt me and I need to use ice, first. He said he couldn’t take time to have me do that. The place was filling up with patients. He was very rushed and I said I’d come back and he said his PA could do it at another time -and then he quickly left the room. . . I felt like I was just another worn out old case, not a real person.

Dr. Bohnenkamp is an incredible orthopedic surgeon. He did partial knee replacements on both of my knees in 2019 (right in January - left in November). He is very open and positive with his patients and takes time to listen. Everyone on his staff is great as well. I have had zero complications since my surgeries and am so happy I found Dr. Bohnenkamp. I have already referred him to several people who have also been very happy with their treatment.

We love this doctor, however the facility has become much less personal. Everyone is adequately friendly but in a detached and sterile manner. The feeling we get is that the focus is on more the business aspects of the operation e.g. volume of patients & maximizing profits.

Because my knee was hurting and didnt know what was going on. Upon arrival the receptionist was excellent! My doctor kind of messed up my order a little bit, but they took care of things which was great. Everybody there was friendly and dr. Bohnenkamp was excellent. He took the time to explain that I actually needed a knee replacement. I am very worried about being put under but he went through the whole procedure, and after speaking with him I knew I was in great hands! He explained that I could have some minor treatments, but they were just Band-Aids compared to work really needs to be done considering all the cartilage was missing for my knees. I am scheduled to have a procedure done in late March. You can read his reviews and now I understand why he always gets 5 stars.

Dr. Bohnenkamp was the revisionist surgeon for my first hip replacement. The revision was needed because my femur was cracked in first surgery causing my leg to break. I decided to have the other hip done a year later because it was bone-on-bone. Night and day difference between this surgery and the first. Dr. Bohnenkamps love of his profession is very evident and it shows in his awesome bedside manner and cutting edge work. He had the correct sized hip measured out before the surgery took place. He evened out my legs, caused by the first surgery, and I no longer need to have a lift in my shoe. He took extra time to deal with the insurance company so that I didnt have to do unnecessary physical therapy before the surgery. Highly recommend!

I couldnt of found a better doctor and the staff is always so helpful. I hadnt walked normal in nearly two years. I have been through doctor after doctor trying to figure out what was wrong with my leg. Im only 40 and always have been very active. Due to possible complications from an earlier cumulative hip replacement; Dr. Bohnenkamp guided me through two anterior revisions in the last 70 days. He is an unmitigated superstar, my only regret is I cant list him as a 10-star google review.Must also thank one of his former PAs for the personal referral to his practice. EXCELLENT!! Its important to be your own advocate, and I do diligent research before I put my confidence and trust in a physician. I was VERY impressed with Dr. Bohnenkamp and his credentials. Unlike other surgeons, Dr. Bohnenkamp is BOARD-CERTIFIED. That is very important since a board-certified doctor is one that is continuously being updated with the most current information. Additionally, he has a very warm and caring disposition, and he doesnt hurry through his appointments. After my knee replacement, I had a subsequent problem with the stitches, (I had a slight reaction) Dr. Bohnenkamp kept a close eye on it, and eventually, we ended up replacing stitches. The point of the matter, is that he LISTENED and heard me. If I ever had to have another knee replacement, or when my hips go out, I will be confident in Dr. Bohnenkamps work, along with his team.

Dr. Bohnenkamp is a caring and very intelligent doctor. His joy and love of his profession is very evident. His work is cutting edge, and we patients benefit from the latest techniques. I am a 74 y/o woman and I needed a hip replacement. My arthritis caused a quick deterioration, and a fall on the ice hastened the matter and gave me alot of pain. Dr.B told me that with the new hip my pain would be gone forever. He was so correct. Pain after surgery was mild. His anterior procedure meant that I healed more quickly. I had an easy recovery and now have all of the benefits of a top notch hip. Dr. Bohnenkamp is indeed my hero.

Dr. Bohnenkamp cared for my 93-yo grandmother after she had a recurrent infection of a hip prosthesis and subsequent dislocation. He performed surgery on her and with rehab aftercare she returned home. She fell shortly after and fractured the hip, and rehabbed yet again but did very well with his guidance and now has use of the leg again and is back to doing the things she loves. Im forever grateful that Dr. B didnt see her age as a disease and treated her as such. She wasnt ready to go into assisted living and we are all thrilled that shes returned home and is walking again. We saw Dr. B first as a referral, then as an emergency appointment, then for several (5) follow up post op appointments. Hes been punctual, kind and thorough on each visit and is patient with her hearing loss and all of our questions. Would highly recommend. Thank you!

A+, 5 stars, 10 out of 10!I had been struggling for years with knee pain due to athletic injuries. Several surgeries with other doctors and little to no options left I decided to go visit Dr. Bohnenkamp for a consultation. First thing I was impressed with was his cordialness and his eagerness to solve my knee issues. Due to my age (45) knee replacements are not very common. After an x-ray Dr. Bohnenkamp sat down with me and explained everything I had going on in my knee, all the healthy options, and he highly recommended a full knee replacement. I was having extreme nerve pain and that was also addressed and solved. The knee replacement went smoothly and the care was a 10 out of 10. All the follow-ups were great as Dr. Bohnenkamp and staff really showed compassion for my healing and wellness. Dont get the wrong idea here that Dr. Bohnenkamp is soft when it comes to healing and rehab, he is really aggressive for your benefit and I am so happy he was. I’m a year post-surgery and feel great, no pain and getting to where I’m active enough to enjoy most activities I did before surgery. Best thing I ever did was go for a consult with Dr. Bohnenkamp, he has changed my life with the ability to be active and have a pain free knee.

Dr. Bohnenkamp is a skilled surgeon, not only does he excel in surgery but his bedside manner is first rate. I suffered a very tramatic injury to my right knee , I believe any other surgeon would have amputated my leg . When I was in the ambulance the second phone call I made was to Dr Bohnenkamp this was on a Sunday morning, he instructed me to go directly to the hospital and he would meet me there. This was on 2-17-19. Today is 3-12-19 I am walking under my own power. I have extensive therapy ahead of me to get back to 100% that’s up to me to do. Not only is Dr Bohnenkamp a skilled surgeon he is a wonderful human being. This transcends down to his whole staff they all care about their patients . I really appreciate the fine work of Dr Bohnenkamp. He has performed surgery on both my daughter and a friend and not only was the operation performed extremely well, but Dr Bohnenkamp is very personable with his explanations and examinations. He always seems to have time to give his patients all the time that they need.Update: Dr Bohnenkamp has performed surgeries on at least 6 of my clients and they have all been thrilled with the referral to him.

Dr. Bohnenkamp lived up to all the accolades I heard prior to meeting him. He was professional, very smart and very understanding. My second TKR had been a nightmare (done by another ortho surgeon) and when he said that I most probably needed my right knee done again, I was very scared. He listened to all of my concerns and one-by-one addressed each one. Not only did he listen, he followed through on everything we discussed. TKR is not a pain free experience, and I have now had three. Dr. Bohnenkamp delivered everything we talked about and I now have a fully functioning right knee.

Dr.Bohnenkamp is a very wonderful doctor, has a great bedside manner! Back in March my grams broke her hip, the one doctor wanted to put my grams in hospice and let her slowly die. Dr. Bohnenkamp came in 3 hours later and told me he could do this and fix her hip, especially since my grams is in good health and she very stubborn.. So since Im my grams power of attorney over her health care, I decided that I will give her a chance and if the worst happened then it happened while she was asleep. She made it through with flying colors and next month she will be a 101.. Thank you Dr. Bohnenkamp and I wish you where with my insurance, I would trust you 100 % with my knees!! :)
