I went to the old KPA location in alcoa when I was a kid and loved everyone there! Just had my son in November of 2020 and decided we wanted to take him here for his appointments. Called our insurance (TennCare) the day after he was born just to make sure his card was being mailed. Called KPA right after I got off the phone with Tenncare and they got us in the next day! Scheduling is easy here. The office staff as well as all of the doctors are so kind and understanding! We love Dr.Holt! She is always willing to answer any questions we may have and is always sure to give us suggestions about certain things and reminds us what a great job we’re doing with our boy! Definitely recommend going here if you have children!

We love all of the doctors and staff members here. They have all been so wonderful to our kids, and we would recommend KPA Foothills over and over again.

I have been using KPA Foothills for about 2 years now. Well, actually as of today I will be finding another provider. I chose to use KPA even after hearing all of the awful, negative reviews about the other locations. The Foothills location was new, so I wanted to try. I loved it. It has been great. I just had a baby last August. She just had her vaccinations last week. Shes been sick because of it. My oldest daughter was just put on ADD medication last week on the 8th. Brand new medication. And a serious one I might add. Doctor Reiss said, see you in 3 months. We scheduled her appointment, along with my youngest. I just received a letter today stating that I have had significant no shows and that I will have to find another provider. The letter was dated for the 9th. ONE DAY AFTER BEING SEEN. Noone said a word. Confused because all of the appointments I havent been able to make had been rescheduled, I called to find out when these no shows were. She told me of ONE. She also said that it looks like i only called and rescheduled one appointment that was scheduled for 10am and I called at 9:30. Their policy is to call at least 1 hour prior to the appointment time. This letter was signed by the same doctor that I saw the day before. I asked why he didnt say anything. She said, the doctor just signs the letters. He didnt know anything that was on the letter. Ummm what?! So again, I asked if I needed to actually find another provider, and she tells me yes, that my daughters are being removed. Ive been crying for the last 30 minutes. Unbelievable policy during these times. Shameful. Now i have to find some other doctor for my daughter to see about this brand new medication that she may have issues with...at first I was upset. Now I see that I am probably better off with a much more understanding provider.

This place is wonderful. The doctors and staff are very knowledgeable and supportive and are doing a great job in the midst of COVID. Dr. Collins recently cared for my child who had some extensive skin injuries from a treadmill accident. He was so very gentle with her when attending to her wounds and I couldnt have asked for better care. All my children have received excellent care from birth at KPA in Knoxville and at the Foothills office.

We were established patients, here. Absolutely loved Dr. Dabbs & Dr. Holt! We were referred to them from our physicians back home from where we relocated from. Our insurance changed, and we switched over to TennCare. I called the office last week to ensure that they accepted TennCare. I was told yes and their website agrees. Upon arrival of our visit, we were denied care today because first it was, We don’t accept TennCare; then it was, we’re not accepting TennCare patients outside of this county; last it was, we’re not accepting new TennCare patients. The receptionist was sure to tell me that I could take my kids to the health department for their shots. Completely unnecessary and unprofessional.

My children and I absolutely LOVE Dr. Dabbs & Dr. Holt. They both are very knowledgeable and professional. They always take their time and never act rushed. They will always be our Favorite. ❤️ The only bad experiences I have had is with some of the receptionist, Some of them can be very rude. (Which is why I am giving 4 stars.)

Wonderful doctors at KPA Alcoa! Have had a great experience with each one. My children see Dr. Holt for checkups. She has great bedside manner and goes above and beyond what is needed for a pediatrician. Every visit she teaches my children about good health.This office also does same day appointments if child is sick and they stay until everyone is seen. Highly recommend the Alcoa office!!!

The doctors are amazing, but the wait is horrible. Listening to the nurses cackle for an hour while your son is sick sitting in the waiting room and just wanting to go to sleep is awesome. Then you get moved to a room where your sick child falls alseepaand you get to here the nurses cackle for another hour while you sit in a room waiting for a doctor who comes in for 5 minutes says your kids not sick and that you can leave.Just not worth it.

The staff is amazing even if you have to wait. We would gladly recommend Dr. Holt to anyone. She is caring and spends time to answer anything you ask.

They used to be wonderful and have completely gone down hill. The girls that answer the phones are rude and could care less about helping you just getting you off the phone. It doesnt matter when you appt is plan on spending over an hour just to get called back and then at least another 30 minutes before you see someone. We used them since my boys were little and finally after 15 years I am done. I will find someone who values our business

The other reviewers are all right on, the admin staff is unprofessional and uncaring. The doctors are good. It’s tough to find good doctors so we have stayed.

My son and daughter both go to to KPA. Its an excellent group and we couldnt be happier with the care provided. The doctors there are wonderful. My kids have seen Dr. Heather Cash, Dr. Tommy Collins and Dr. Katherine Dabbs. They are all excellent physicians who are extremely knowledgeable, caring, and have great bedside manner. We always feel well taken care of when we go there. I love their new office. The staff are great too. Highly recommend KPA!

I love Dr. Dabbs she has been wonderful but the staff are very rude. Its always a pleasure to be describing your childs symptoms and things and have them roll there eyes and ignore you. I went for my younger sons annual exam and the nurse practitioner was the one to do it and she acted like she was afraid to touch him and never even tried to work with him(all she kept saying was well if i ask him to stand on one foot he wont do it!!) as he is nonverbal at the moment, I mean come on show him what you want him to do. This office has just went downhill and i am currently looking elsewhere now.The only reason i gave it one star was for Dr. Dabbs.

We have taken our son here since he was born and have always had a great experience! The staff are caring and friendly.

Dr. Dabbs has gone above and beyond while dealing with some issues with my daughter. She’s called me at home to check on her, and made time to see her regularly until her issues were sorted out. Most importantly, she has always listened to my concerns and made me feel like my insights were valuable to her treatment. Couldn’t recommend enough.

Dr.Holt has been great, she caught some developmental issues in my son at 15 months old. He is now 2 and when he first began his different therapies everyone was impressed at how early on his issues were caught. He still struggles with many different issues and I can only imagine were he would be if she hadnt been taking every sign so seriously. I have never had an issues getting my children seen when they were sick. The wait here is pretty terrible, Ive spent 2 hours there for a 15 minute appointment. But Dr.Holt is worth it. Also they dont allow unvaccinated children there unless it is a genuine medical reason, which gives me peace of mind while in the sick waiting room.

You cannot advocate for your child here. After doing so they sent a letter to me stating that my child and I were not allowed back. I’m now suing for malpractice since my child could’ve died had I not taken him to the hospital. I suggest using a family doctor.

My son Has RSV Twice and the doctors was great they even called to check on him after we left. I will never take my child anywhere else. There are very informative and freindly, which means a lot when you a first time mom.

Dr.Collins is great. Staff is always very friendly and helpful. Awesome place to take your kids.

I called this office to try to get a pediatrician for my grandson who is 14yrs old. They told me to take him to an adult Dr. I am an RN and have worked in pediatrics for several years. Most pediatricians keep patients until they are 21 yrs old. Im shocked that they would turn us away. As a healthcare professional I am disgusted at where healthcare is going in this country!

Why even schedule appointments?!? They expect you to check in 5 minutes (at least) before your appointment but don’t mind making you sit in the lobby for 45 minutes past your appointment. So disprectful of others time!

Doctors and the Nurses are GREAT very HELPFUL AND FRIENDLY!!! But the front desk staff are hateful and not a bit of friendly people. Seems to be staff does not like to help, deal or interact with people SPECIALLY other races!!!

We have been going here for years, and the Doctors are wonderful! The front desk staff, and the nurses and office manager however talk down to you if you have questions, rush you out of the way and will RS you if they are busy and you are running a little late. We live an hour away from this office and travel to come because we did not want to change their pediatrician when we moved from local to this office. We drive thru 2 school zones to get there and they made his appt for 330 or 4 I do not remember exactly, we got there at 10 min after and argued for about 5 min about how far behind they were (with a lobby half full of patients waiting to be seen) and refused to see my son after me driving an hr and 15 min to get there (I am a office manager in a Dr office as well,, so i know policy & procedures and called her out on it and she got MAD) Long story short is had I been 10 min earlier they would still had me sitting in the lobby anyway, they refused to go ask the Dr if he would still see me, they pulled out a policy that said you COULD be rescheduled after 10 minutes, which means they refused to see me, it is not against their policy for 10-11 min late. I think that if they would get some new friendlier and respectful front desk managers and workers that this facility has the potential to be a 5 star office. Long story short is i made her mad by asking to see policy and telling her she needed to calm down and not be so rude I was office manager too and she was out of line. She raised voice to find another provider local to me and then lied in my chart that I was unhappy and self discharged which is A LIENew to add-I forgot to mention that when I had called back to reschedule the Office manager had discharged my kids and notated this review and how unhappy I was, and asked me why would I want to RS when I was so unhappy there I said the only thing Im unhappy with is the way the office manager talks to parents and how unprofessional the situation was handled I was basically called a liar by the office manager and told sorry id have to find somewhere closer to where I live. Theres no telling what she put in my sons chart.

We love Dr. Reiss and the entire group at KPA foothills. Last night I was there (Friday night at 6pm) with my sick baby and all of the staff were friendly and took the time necessary to care for him. No one acted rushed or annoyed that it was Friday night. We’ve went to this group of doctors with all three of our kids, for the past 10 years, and have never had a bad experience. They have always made scheduling convenient and their new office is beautiful! Im sure they don’t get told often enough; so THANK YOU.

Im currently sitting in the sick waiting with my 3 month old. Ive been here for 40 mins waiting, have had 4 families now come in after my son and have gone back. Its unprofessional and infuriating. I dont care that my child is seeing a different doctor. I work in the healthcare field myself and would never do this to a patient of mine.
