Ive had a real struggle for the past few years with my macular degeneration. my regular optometrist wanted me to talk to Dr. Walker and see if there was anything that she could do to help.. she got me these cool glasses that go over my regular glasses and have tinted lenses. I have one pair for driving and a pair with a different tint for working on the computer or reading a book. they really help a lot! Its a little weird to get used to seeing the world in a different color but it really helps pop the background so that the road is easier to see and the words on the page are easier to see. and the thing I like most about these glasses, outside of them being relatively affordable… Is that I can take them off and have a conversation with my friends and it feels normal. its a real struggle to deal with declining vision and with this solution, I dont have to feel weird or broken. im only 47 so I dont wanna feel like I cant keep doing and being who I am. dr. Walker has been very kind and patient and I have really been surprised at how much something so simple has helped!

My father is 92 years old with macular degeneration in one eye and has never been able to see clearly out of his other eye. His visit with Dr. Walker was a wonderful experience. Dr. Walker was personable and professional, creating a comfortable, informative and inviting atmosphere. We are so glad to have found her and would highly recommend her to others who would like to receive an expert examination and learn about all the wonderful, unheard-of tools that are available to improve ones vision!

My husband is 63 years old and has advanced Macular Degeneration. Over the past couple of years he has lost the majority of his central vision. We were both devastated and began researching to find options. Luckily, we found Dr. Walker. When we met with her, she spent over 3 hours working with him to analyze his vision and worked with him to show him how to maximize the use of his peripheral vision. She also helped him test many different types of visual aids. With Dr. Walkers help, my husband purchased a very effective reading aid, a pair of telescope glasses to help him see distances and some binoculars designed for people with Macular Degeneration which will help him see even further..Dr. Walker changed everything for us and gave us back the retirement we thought we had lost. For the past 40 years we have been working and saving so we could retire early and travel. My husband lost his vision the first year. We thought we could never do the things we planned. As soon as my husband got his visual aids, we started planning our first road trip. Dr. Walker is amazing.

I took my mother, who is 87 and has Macular Degeneration, to see Dr. Walker. She was incredibly patient with her and took plenty of time examining her and figuring out what will best help her in her day to day activities. I would definitely recommend her to anyone with low vision issues.

Dr. Walker provides excellent service. She spends as much time as you need to try different vision aides.
