All of my daughters see Dr Adams. Weve always had a good experience here, from the front desk to the medical assistants everyone is very nice and makes you feel comfortable. I would recommend anybody of any age to see Dr Adams for all of their eye care needs.

My good friend and also my sister in law recommended Dr. Adams. We had a concern for my 5 year olds sight. We were able to get an appointment quickly. The entire team at the office from the lovey front desk receptionist to the Nurse and then Dr Adams, made us feel comfortable. Our son was nervous and did well under all circumstances. Dr Adams took the extra time to help us understand how our son was seeing and walked through all of our questions. We are grateful for Dr Adams and his entire team. Our little one now has glasses and is thrilled to see so clear.

Wish I could actually be seen. I was rescheduled twice, both times I was called the day before my appointment to be told it would have to be at a different time/day. Day of appointment I called ahead to say I would be late due to unforeseen circumstances and ask if I should reschedule. I was only told “I’ll let them know”. I arrive at the exact time I said I would and was told I couldn’t be seen. Wish they would have told me that on the phone before I drove all the way there. The whole reason I called ahead was to avoid that. Organization and communication could be better.

We drive in from El Paso to see Dr. Adams and his staff. Everyone is always friendly and knowledgeable. Examinations are thorough and information is explained in a professional and patient manner. Not a great experience but also not horrible. Staff was great, welcoming and friendly. What I did not like was that this was my sons first time ever seeing an eye Dr. and as the Dr. began doing his exam he didn’t talk to or explain to my son what he was doing at all. I was the one explaining to him. Then..... the Dr. didn’t change his gloves between patients!!!!! He simply put hand sanitizer on them! 🤯 I work in healthcare. And that’s definitely a no no! Why I didn’t say anything is a good question. Again, staff was great and Dr. got me the info that we needed regarding my sons eyes but it’s the smaller things that he did that makes all the difference!

We were referred for my 3 year old son from after-hours pediatric Dr. Bogus, after a failed spot vision screen. We were able to get an appointment quickly. Dr. Adams was professional and very helpful. He even gave us information to read at home, which is especially important with so much information and a 3-year-old in the mix! The technician/assistant did a great job of making sure my son felt comfortable, eased his fears, and even told him how smart he was for knowing letters and numbers! The whole staff was great! Waited over a whole hour from our appointment time for my 1 year old to be seen. The dr. was curt, did not seem interested in being prescriptive and was not personable at all. Told me that her eye site didn’t quite warrant glasses (not even why we were there) but wanted to see her again in a year. Neglected to tell me that a child’s eye site rarely is 20/20 until around 6 years of age. Didn’t necessarily recommend a surgery but told me to “call HIS surgical team if we wanted a surgery for her.” Seemed very much like he was double booking patients and willing to perform unnecessary surgical procedures- likely for the money. On my way to a second opinion for my daughter’s clogged tear duct. But I will say that the front desk lady and supporting staff members were friendly which I greatly appreciated.

DO NOT COME HERE!So back in January 2021, my son broke his glasses and we couldnt remember who his preferred eye doctor was so we came here.Whilst here my sons mother decided to also get an exam, for contacts.My son being a 4 year old would not sit still, so Im not overly upset about his prescription being incorrect, given the situation.However, Dr. Adams poor conduct and lack of professionalism really came to the surface when it was time for mama to have her exam.Mind you, while providing this exam he was being shadowed by 3 other soon-to-be professionals.This Dr. disregarded my wifes objections that her eyes are two different prescriptions(true), that she has a stigmatism(true), and that the trial contacts were giving her a headache.My wife has had eye exams in the past and since (with other providers), validating her claims.Then he proceeded to write a prescription for contacts with the same strength for both eyes (a useless prescription that would do more harm than anything if filled), all the while continuing to dismiss her concerns, in front of learning professionals to-be.After leaving and debating what to do, we reached out to his office to request a refund and were promptly denied, being told the $80 for the exam is nonrefundable but that we could come back for a reexamination.No thanks, weve seen the kind of work he performs.Im in the process of disputing this charge with my financial institution, all because Dr. Adams is unable or unwilling to reconcile his poor performance.Thank God I didnt pay cash!If you come here, you risk wasting time and money.

Kenneth Adams is the worst doctor I have ever seen. First and foremost, he inappropriately touched me even after I told him to stop. He was forceful and aggressive with me. He spoke down to me as if I were a little kid. He performed operations on me that I did not consent to and would not tell me what he was putting into my eyes. He was extremely unprofessional with no bedside manner and I am shocked that his practice is still in business. His behavior was inexcusable and I strongly believe that his medical license should be revoked.

We had seen another ophthalmologist for my son (now 2 1/2 years old) and were not pleased with the doctor or the practice. We came to Dr. Adams and were very impressed by how well he evaluated our son and his needs.

Never felt so uncomfortable in my life! I came here for my daughter’s appointment who was 3 years old at the time. Her first eye exam ever, and was a miserable experience. The assistant was lovely and so nice to us. But I could tell the doctor was not having it, especially since my daughter would not cooperate and was extremely afraid. You could just tell he was not gonna deal with it. He couldn’t even try to calm her and work with her and they say this is kid friendly. I felt like it was due to our ethnicity also. It just didn’t feel professional. I could feel the body language off this guy and it definitely wasn’t welcoming. He didn’t even tell my daughter he was gonna put drops in her eyes. She was shocked out of no where, like what the heck just happened and got scared. I felt like it was rushed due to her not cooperating and being afraid/ and was told she don’t need a prescription or glasses. Really? She took an exam at school and was told her vision was not good. I’m not taking her this year for her exam. I am going elsewhere, where they have patience for kids. Period.

I struggled with double vision for several years after experiencing a brain bleed in 2013. Finally I was sent to Dr Kenneth Adams and he prescribed prism glasses that corrected the double vision. Wonderful!Seeing with double vision is exhausting for your brain is constantly deciphering where and what you see. It Is so nice to be able to see single images again. And these glasses look like any normal glasses. Someone looking at me does not realize I have special special glasses on. Wonderful! Just wonderful.

I appreciated the learning I gained from watching him with my family member as wearer of spectacles for 4 decades, I learned quite a bit myself. For skilled eye care, he is an trustworthy medical professional that a patient would desire to be loyal to in seeking critical eye care.Dr Adams receives 5 stars for service.Unfortunately, I am disappointed by the back office handling of the financial relationship between the services provided and the responsible party for the payments. The back office receives 1 star, so the average being 3 is posted.The office handles some of the billing and paperwork, and some is handled by a third party, Medical Practice Billing. This has brought inaccuracy, lost payments, and a 14 month late additional bill upon a re-pricing of our invoice.For a single visit in April 2019, we paid the prescribed copay of $50 while awaiting our final total once they could determine the negotiated rate with our insurance. As this visit would not have any payment from the insurance, we anticipated to pay in full the negotiated rate. In May 2019 we received an invoice showing the out of network provider rate and paid the balance. In June 2019 a notice of balance due, which came as a surprise. Neither the office or their financial partner could explain it, both blamed each other and simply requested I pay again. I purchased a stop payment with my financial institution (not the easiest process) and re-send payment.In June of 2020, we received another invoice. The discount rate applied on our insurance in April 2019 was for an out of network provider, but now they’d like to apply the in network provider discount rate and bill me the difference. I didn’t choose how they arrived at the first discount rate, it seems an error occurred and they selected the billing codes. After 14 months, someone decided that it was just their side of ethical to bill for the amount of the additional discount their error granted. $22.Receiving the bill, my first instinct was this is in error. The statute on medical billing has passed, I haven’t been to the provider in 14 months, surely something is wrong. Thankfully due to the pandemic I have some time on my hands to research. Sure enough, eight phone calls later speaking to 5 people in 3 buildings I arrive at the answer: no one knows. I conduct another 20 hours of research through paper trails and confirm – it was an error when producing my bill.A thrifty scout does not just pay any bill, they ensure it’s accurate and legitimate. A honest scout pays a bill that is due them, and I paid swiftly when I realized I had been gifted too much of a discount 14 months ago.I did find between the office staff and Medical Practice Billing, the entire process to be an exercise in poor service. There was not a helpful response, friendly attitude, courteous spirit, or kindness in any interaction. While I believe this post will not earn by the benefit of what I have requested by phone and mail – empathy and an apology – I will bravely post my story in hopes that one day Dr Adam’s can provide the coaching to his staff in office and at the third party to improve the patient experience. There are many eye care patients in my immediate and extended family (I certainly have the highest out of pocket expenses in this area), and none will be seeking out to be entangled with the back office and Medical Practice Billing at this time. If I could access Dr Adam’s talents without fear of future billing dramatics I would.(note: I am a cheerful person, and attempt a clean conversation including keeping matters private. In this case I have by phone and mail that the office provide acknowledgement of the errors, empathy to my situation. Having not received any response other than my cancelled check from the last payment, I feel it necessary to bring my grievance public with much personal regret).

I have taken a family member to see this Doctor twice now. He is always very polite and professional. The office is very nice and his receptionist is also very welcoming and quick to get you checked in. The doctor has a very friendly way about himself and shook my hand both times when meeting and when leaving. He also makes sure to keep his hands and his equipment very clean, as I have watched cleaning things as he goes. Dr. Adams and his whole team are amazing. He asks the best questions, really listens to your answers and does a thorough examination of your your eyes. Then he puts the picture together as to what he sees, what it means for your eyes and explains it to you in a way that you can understand. My son first saw Dr. Adams when he was 4 years old. He had bilateral amblyopia and needed treatment to help him regain his vision. There was a risk of him losing his sight. He is now 10 years old and seeing within normal range. We are so grateful for Dr. Adams. He is a no nonsense doctor who is very good at what he does.

Dr Adams is a very talented eye surgeon. But if your child has strabismus I highly recommend looking into eye therapy...Dr. Adams performed a successful surgery on my 2 yr old but about 2 months later the same issue returned. Surgery is not the answer in every case. Now 4 yrs old, my son has great vision but the strabismus has not been fixed. I understand that this condition is not always able to be completely cured and am grateful for the services I received from Dr. Adams and his staff.

My daughter started going to Dr Adams a couple of years ago for vision problems. The staff is always friendly and she feels comfortable there. She loves her glasses and her vision has improved. The office is good about scheduling follow ups. I also made an appt for myself regarding vision issue that Ive had my whole life. I was impressed with the thoroughness of his examination, and he ended up giving me the answers to medical issues that I didnt even know were related to my eye issues. No other doctor had been able to solve them for me! He explained my condition in depth very well, and answered all of my questions. I have read some other posts from a few who had complaints about the wait time. I had a long wait time as well, however, when you consider the extreme thoroughness and amount of care Dr Adams provides, it outweighs the inconvenience of a long wait time, in my opinion. I would rather wait an hour longer for exceptional care, than have a doctor be on time, rush through the appointment, and usher you out the door without answering your questions, making you feel like you are in their way. I dont mind waiting because I know the reason for the long wait is probably because Dr Adams is helping someone else as much as he helped me. I absolutely recommend him, as he is personable, professional, easy to talk to and very knowledgeable.

Another local ophthalmologist had confirmed my diagnosis of intermittent exotropia (double vision) and gave me a prescription for corrective eyeglasses. Instead of prism glasses, however, the prescription turned out to be ordinary bifocals. Costing nearly $800 for two pairs, they were totally useless. Another eye clinic referred me to Dr. Adams. After seeing his impressive C.V. online, I was pleased to schedule an appointment with him within days. He gave me a thorough examination, prepared temporary prism lenses for me to try while in his office, and then gave me the precise prescription that I need. Thanks to his advice, my new bifocal eyeglasses from LensCrafters are now being replaced with prism lenses--and at no additional cost. I have already referred two more people to Dr. Adams. I cant recommend him more highly.

Very happy with Dr. Adams. It was my moms first visit after we moved her from Florida and he really took his time to check her eyes out and do all tests he needed in order to fairly reassess her semiblind state. I highly recommend.

Dr. Adams, Roxanne, and the rest of his staff have always been professional, caring, and thorough in their evaluations. If an urgent problem arises, Im usually worked in within 24 hours. This is rare in todays medical system at other offices. Dr. Adams is one of the few who still practices medicine in the traditional sense where the patient always comes first.

Where do I start. I have spent two weeks trying to get a prescription for an eye infection. This office kept sending prescriptions for eye drops that my insurance wouldnt cover...they were over $200.00 for a small bottle. I finally was given an eye drop that I was highly allergic to. Okay, not their fault. I spoke to Dr. Adams and requested oral Azithromycin. He insisted on Azithromycin drops which there is no generic for and once again were over $200.00. I contacted his office again and asked for oral Azithromycin (zpak) which is 6 pills. When I called the pharmacy, they said the office had prescribed Azithromycin liquid, but in a very low dose. They called the doctors office and were told that was the wrong prescription and they would send a correct one! That didnt happen and the next day was Friday and they closed early. So, I went the entire weekend without a treatment. Today I called the doctors office again and they said they would contact the pharmacy immediately. When I called the pharmacy to double check I was told the doctors office had called in a prescription for 180 Azithromycin tablets. 180 TABLETS! Who takes antibiotics twice a day for 3 months straight!! So the pharmacy contacted the doctor and was told it was supposed to be a Z-Pack. Because of weather, I asked the Smiths I was talking to to transfer the prescription to a different Smiths. When this happened, the new pharmacy had to confirm with the doctors office that it was indeed 6 pill z-pack. They called the doctor 6 times and never got a call back. Since the original Smiths had confirmed with Dr. Adams office earlier that it was a 6 pill Z-pack, they went ahead and filled it accordingly. I am a smart person and do research. Had someone blindly accepted 180 pills and taken them, I hate to think what it could have done to their immune system. Go to anyone other than this office.

Everyone in the office is very friendly. Dr.Adams is very kind and thorough in all that he does. He answers all all of all of your questions and breaks down anything so you can get an idea of how things work and whats going on. My daughter has been seeing him since she was 11 months I highly recommend him and his office.

Was very surprised when Dr. Adams made time to do my annual checkup right after my wifes appointment and saving me a second 50 mile trip later that week. Thank you Doctor. See you next year!

Awesome office. Went on wrong day office tried to go ahead and find a spot for me so I was able to see Dr Adams. Dr Adams was really patient with us. So glad we found that office.
