Doctor and staff always make you feel welcome. For the past three years my wife and I have been patients and could not be happier. Even with Covid you can still get to see the Doctor within a short period of time, and from what I hear from friends, that is not always the case. GREAT PLACE!!!

They were amazing. The front desk ppl were super nice and got us in super fast. Only reason it is 4 stars is because they didnt allow myself and my husband in the same room and the (one and only) Dr came in she was super rushed. If theres any questions its better to ask the assistants as they seems more knowledgeable. Other than that everything went great and they have lots of different styles to choose from including contacts.

I was very pleased with every aspect of my eye appointment. The communication before and during my appointment was professional and friendly. I felt that they like what they do and are pleased to help their patients. The person who answered the phone and did the check-in was sweet and inviting, the assistant was kind and patient, and Dr. Pulis was amazing (she always has been). I also went ahead and chose my new glasses and was happy with the service I received. The tech was kind and helpful and understood when I was a little hesitant about how much it would cost. Accent on Vision does a great job of taking care of me and I know that my eyes and eye health are in great hands.

All staff very professional and accommodating. Short wait, Doctor and technician explained every procedure, and picking out glasses was some and streamlined. Glasses arrived exactly when stated, couldnt be more pleased. 👍😁

I really enjoyed my visit! This is my first ever actual eye appointment Ive ever had and every single person made me feel comfortable. I usually get anxious in for visits to Doctors, Dentists and so on but they made it very easy! I showed up at 8:25am and I was seen almost instantly, I didnt have to wait too long. To make it even better I got some really nice glasses that I am looking forward to! I really like this place and I hope every experience is like this always! 5 stars!

I had an excellent experience at Accent on Vision today. The check in forms were available to complete online. The staff was very friendly and professional. The Optomap procedure is painless and easy, and wonderful to do in place of eye dilation. I like that I can see the images of the inside of my eye on the computer. The entire visit took about 30 minutes.

This office is simply EXCELLENT. Front office is friendly, organized, and informed. The optical shop is amazing as well- super selection of stylish frames and the tech is incredibly helpful and kind. Dr Pulis is fantastic- thorough and takes time with you when/if needed.

I was treated with the utmost respect at my eye appointment. Each person that worked with me was very knowledgeable and took so much time to make sure I understood everything they were doing. They were on time and efficient and really helped me picked the perfect pair of glasses. I will definitely go back each year for my exams and glasses.

I was greeted by friendly staff at the parking lot. I was impressed in how they handled COVID precautions. They took my temperature prior to me entering the facility. I placed all the frames I tried on in a different tray to prevent contamination from the untouched frames. I was allowed to go outside and view the frames without my mask if I wanted to. The atmosphere of the facility was elegant, professional and friendly. I found the frames I wanted with the assistance of staff and had my questions answered. I was out in one hour. Best optical service ever!

I have been to most of the optometrists here in Albuquerque over the years, but none of them have been as thorough and professional as Accent on Vision. I’ve been a patient for a long time. I’m frustrated by how expensive every visit has become. I canceled my appointment (that I made with less than 48 hours notice) because I was tired of paying for tests I’ve already had. When I asked to cancel the appointment, I was told I would be billed 50.00 for a no show fee. Anything for a dollar I guess…

I love the doctor and staff at this office. They are always so friendly and welcoming. Not something you get everywhere. If it werent for the fact they dont have the facilities to be able to have glasses ready in less than a couple of weeks or so, I would have given 5 stars.

My husband and I retired to Albuquerque a few years ago, and I’d been putting off making an appointment for numerous reasons. One being, I had extremely negative experiences as a child when going for an eye exam. The Dr. wasn’t very patient with young children, and being quite nearsighted, I always felt like I was flunking the exam. Through the years, I’ve had some wonderful, and not so wonderful, Dr’s.Fast forward to my experience at Accent on Vision. I can’t say enough nice things about Dr. Pulis and her staff. As soon as I walked in the door I was greeted with a smile (behind a mask) and proceeded to have all the preliminary test done by one her technicians. I was immediately made to feel comfortable. The whole experience was nothing but pleasant, Dr. Pulis is very thorough in explaining her findings, and making sure to ask if I had any questions during the visit. She found something that needs extra attention and one of the gals at the front desk called to make an appointment for me. It’s obvious that she enjoys her job, as she was just as nice to the person on the other end of the line as she was to me.The Covid precautions are appreciated and the $39 Optomap retinal scan is something that all my previous Dr’s have required, so thats a non-issue for me.I also want to share this: Dr. Ashely Pulis was named as one of Top Three Optometrist by Albuquerque Journal Reader’s Choice! (Aug 2021).

Always very professional and kind. They keep you comfortable and informed before they move onto the next test or machine. They walk you through why they’re doing something and are always open for questions concerning the changes in vision. They also never rush you out the door, they actually converse outside of vision questions which makes it nice because they’re people too. They are very informed about which vision impairments are considered medically necessary, meaning your insurance covers almost all costs. They saved me a lot of money after my first visit many years ago when they informed me I was legally blind and my insurance would cover a whole lot more of my personal costs. In conclusion, I’ve never had a problem with them so why not give them a try.

I had a nosepiece that had broken off of my eyeglasses. I called the office asking if they would be able to repair this if I left the glasses at the office. They said I could come to the office within the hour and have the issue attended to the same day. When I arrived, staff met me at the car, collected the eyeglasses and returned less than 10 minutes later with both nosepieces replaced as well as checking to see that the glasses fit properly. Could not have asked for better, prompter or more congenial service. Thank you.

From the phone call to the office visit, everything was very pleasant. The office staff was extremely polite, and the exam was a comfortable experience for my 10 year old girl who isnt a big fan of any type of doctors visit. They explained everything to us in detail, including the scan that they do and that some insurances dont cover it (ours didnt, so it was nice to know that well in advance). Pretty good selection of frames and the time for the glasses to be completed was appropriate. Office was clean and comfortable and all of the staff were adhering to the covid safe practices. Will definitely return if needed in the future.

If I could give 0 stars I definitely would! My insurance recently changed, forcing me to find a new optometrist. An hour prior to my appointment, I received forms that needed to be signed via email. At which point, a $40 retinal scan is explained. I didnt understand this vs an eye dilation. When I arrived at my appointment I asked for clarification on the differences. Eye dilation which is covered by insurance is not offered at this location because staff feels unsafe with patient contact. As a medical professional, I am required to have patient contact. How can an optometrist refuse to touch my eye to place drops??? What a shame that an eye specialist is too scared to get too close to a patient, that has no symptoms, wears a mask, and has a screening prior to going into the office. I considered paying the $40 until I was advised by the tech that an eye dilation gives more detail than a retinal scan. If something is seen on the retinal scan than an eye dilation could take place. What sense does this make??? I will take my business to a professional optometrist that actually gives a damn about patient care and eye health! At the time, I scheduled the appointment I should have been advised the optometrist and staff feared patient contact; at that point I would have scheduled with a professional elsewhere. The fact that an optometrist does not want to come into contact with a patients eye is ridiculous. Can you imagine a professional in any other specialty office refuse to touch a patient!!!

I received my new glasses yesterday, and with Covid precautions, brought the glasses to me in my vehicle and adjusted them for me. So happy with the customer service and concern.

Ive been going here for maybe 10 years now and Ive never had a bad experience. Staff is friendly, they gave me updates on my contacts being on back order when they didnt have to, and they just always show that they care. The office is clean and comfy too! Dr. Pulis is wonderful.

This is usually a wonderful place to be a patient for eyecare. After an appointment and dropping payment I asked for an eyeglass adjustment on a pair of glasses that I purchased from this optician.While waiting, I was trying on glasses and the only patient there. I was rushed from behind by a running staff member who was abruptly disciplining me about putting glasses in a rack to be sanitized. She was loud and unforgiving. Not at all like other staff members there. Not sure why I was treated that way being the only person in the store and preparing for purchase of a new glasses in a months time. There was no need to run at me like that. And I mean literally ran at me! I let the glasses adjuster know what it happened to me in her absence and it seemed like perhaps this was a manager because she became very contrite and affirming of my concern but escorted me out. I’m not used to being treated like this when I am a good customer. Humiliation is not right. She could use training in customer service she was pretty mean. Denise the doctor and the adjuster of the glasses were all wonderful. I don’t know what’s up with the nasty one.

So first, dealing with any type of eye issues always brings a certain level of anxiety.With that out of the way, my appointment at Accent on Vision to have my eyes rechecked went extremely well. Following strict COVID guidelines from the beginning of the appointment to the end, the transparency of how they maintain sanitized office spaces is amazing.The thoroughness of the initial exam before Dr. Pulis conducted the actual eye exam was very well appreciated. They listened to my as they asked questions. That spoke volumes on how customer service should be.When Dr. Pulis took over, she was very jovial and made the visit even more pleasant providing information on what was going with my new vision needs. Even at the end of the exam, she gave positive information on what my new prescription would be like.Does the fun stop here? The customer service continued even after the visit was completed. The office manager was manning the front desk due to ongoing OJT with all the employees in the office. She was able to provide quick follow-up instructions and giving options to have the new prescription sent to me digitally with a hard copy. She went on to notice my glasses were visible loose. They offered to make a quick adjustment and replace the small screws.After the great service they had provided, this was really not a surprise!All in all, I recommend anyone needed eye exams to use Accent on vision for their eye exam needs

I am retired and my husband and I travel full time now in our Motorcoach. I had cataract surgery and a retina tear while in another state in January. I needed a follow up visit but was in New Mexico at the time. Dr. Pulis’ staff worked around my schedule to get me in to see her. She was so professional, answered all my questions, and reassured me of the health of my eyes after the recent trauma and surgery. Her staff was so kind and helpful, professional and well trained. I will definitely be going back when we are in New Mexico again.

My wife and I recently went to Accent on Vision to purchase glasses. We are fully aware and appreciate safety and social distancing during this pandemic; however, the safety practices at Accent on Vision are extreme. After clearing us via their health screening, they STILL wouldn’t allow us to enter together—- even though there was no one else there. Our experience was awkward and uncomfortable. We subsequently went to another place of business, we were properly screened, treated with respect, and we spent a substantial amount on new glasses. Thank you, Accent on Vision. We now know where to shop for glasses!

Cant praise my experience at this years exam enough. I have always been impressed by the efficient, friendly staff, but this year, they went above and beyond. We came on the wrong day for our appointment.That was completely my mistake. Not only were they kind to me and not judgmental that I had made a mistake, but the made time for us to have our appointments since we were already there. All smiles and helpfulness. We got home (15 minutes away) less than an hour after I thought our appointment was supposed to start. Hassle-free, wonderful experience. Also, zero pressure for things (exams, glasses, etc.) that we didnt need.

I have been coming here for the last three years or so. Everyone is so nice and professional. At the East side location they always have drinks for the customers which is really nice! I have been going to the west side location for the last two years and the best part is they get you in right away.. even the doctor comes in right away which makes you feel like your time is just as important as theirs. I highly recommend coming here. They have lots of options and are always open to answering any questions!
