I really really wanted to switch to Medicap. I like that theyre less corporate than some other pharmacies (theyre franchised). They also have a drive-thru while many of the other big name pharmacies in Albany dont. So I switched some of my retail prescriptions over, and I had another prescription sent directly to the pharmacy. I assumed I would get a call confirming that I had signed up as a new patient on their website, or that I would get a call when my prescription was ready. I didnt. I went in today and was told they sent it back because it sat there for a bit, unclaimed. The representative said they dont have a text/phone notification system, but theyre working on it. Im sorry, what?! In 2021, that a pharmacy doesnt have a notification system is baffling. I will admit that I should have just gone to check if the prescription was in, rather than waiting for a call, but I just assumed Id get one? Everyone was super nice and helpful, though. They were able to get it re-ordered for pickup tomorrow so that is a plus. However, I will be switching back to a pharmacy that provides notifications.4 stars for customer service and a local connection.

The only pharmacy we go to. Fantastic help. Always happy to take time to explain any questions. Cant say enough good things about the AlbanyOR Medicap.

I am a new client of this pharmacy. I’m using them because I have an unusual, rarely prescribed med that my other pharmacy of 35 years has trouble keeping available in the warehouse. This med is not optional or something I can play with the dosage a bit to tide me through if the med is unavailable. After having to find my medicine myself once again, we found Medicap Pharmacy which had my meds. I questioned the pharmacist closely about the availability of my med. I was satisfied that I would not be left in the lurch when I was ready to refill my med, so, I moved my prescription over to Medicap. I have ordered my first refill. If I find their service to be anything less than the frankly wonderful treatment I’ve received already, I will make another review. But, this is my opinion for now!

The staff are very friendly and informative. Every time I go in I get greeted with friendly smiles and a cheerful hello from them. I would definitely recommend this pharmacy if you are in need of bubble packing!

NOT personable at all. I go there every two weeks for my medication, never ask how my day is and act annoyed that Im there. Couldnt get an important medication transferred for the life of them, and multiple times never received faxes from my doctor. Tired of the incompetence, will be going to a different pharmacy asap.

Worst customer service ever! Mom bought compression stockings, never took them out of the packaging and these clowns would not return or even exchange the product for her. Wont be around long with that kind of service.
