Dr. Gerber has gone above and beyond I’m caring for my teenage son who has an extremely rare disease. My family would be lost without his guidance. We are so thankful for him.

I was diagnosed on 11.12.13 and I have seen a few differents doctors, all of which were very great. Although we all know this disease gets worse over time I am very thankful for the work that all of the doctors do. I feel Dr. Gerber is very intuned with The disease, he very friendly and seemed concerned and helpful with my condition.. I see him every 6 months to check up with symptoms. And also to see how things are going with medical advancements and current meds. He is a Prime example of a well rounded doctor. . Wishing all the best to this God awful disease...Stay Strong.

Dr. Allen Gerber - MALPRACTICE (part 1/2)Never before have I ever dealt with a doctor so irresponsible. And a “Specialist” at that. My fiancée has been suffering with MS symptoms for several years, but they have gotten a lot worse in these past 12 months. Roughly 9 months ago, in July 2015, we met with Dr. Gerber and he gave us the best speech we have heard yet from any doctor, about how “getting to the bottom of this mystery was a top priority and he would do everything in his power to find an answer and make things better.” He listened to us, he responded unlike the previous doctors, and told us everything we wanted to hear. He then prescribed my fiancée with some monthly B12 shots to help her while he continued to “get to the bottom of this.” … That was pretty much how far it ever got. Not to mention that every month we had to go out of our way to make sure it was at our pharmacy, since the doctor never once filed for refills that were needed from him. From that point onwards it was basically all silence. Long story short, he would promise us a quick response back and hopefully with some answers (always keeping our hopes up)…and then it would be silent. For weeks at least, which then turned into months. He didn’t return calls. He didn’t prescribe anything new. Finally, in the beginning of December 2015, we had heard back from Dr. Gerber again. In this meeting he told us he will be prescribing a weekly injection of B12 shots while he still continues to look into the issue, since the monthly injections had been working, but only enough to get by. A couple weeks had passed by and we never heard anything back. Then the week of Christmas and New Years Eve occurred and we simply brushed it off as, “well maybe it was the holiday rush that has him so busy…” So on January 2nd or 3rd, we called his office to inquire about my fiancée’s weekly injection, but there was no response. This silence went on for FOUR MONTHS! That is almost TWENTY WEEKS of injections that she has missed because he never once returned a phone call. Never once tried to reach out to us. Never once called our pharmacy to begin the weekly injections. Meanwhile, her muscular flairs have been progressively worsening & she has been working less and less and less, because of NO HELP whatsoever. This silence has been damaging not just her, but all of those around her!!Then March of 2016 rolled around and when my fiancée called, she demanded to receptionist give us any information on Dr. Gerber’s case regarding her. We were then told that, since our meeting in December of 2015, our file was put on “Low Priority” and has not even been looked into AT ALL – FOUR MONTHS LATER. About 2 weeks ago from today, we were on the verge of calling to demand to speak with Dr. Gerber or else he’d be hearing from a lawyer for Malpractice. The only reason we never made that phone call is because we went to my fiancée’s family doctor’s office instead. WITHIN TWO VISITS, WITHIN ONE WEEK, this new doctor did so much more than Dr. Gerber had ever done for us in NINE MONTHS. This new doctor jumped into action immediately and has already given my fiancée multiple tests/scans to figure out what is wrong with her body, has fully supported us leaving Dr. Gerber immediately and instead going to the specialist in Boston, & has given her a handicap placard + help with the purchase of a wheelchair (which we have already both used during this past Easter weekend while visiting family in Boston…and it made a significant difference)! When her body is in a flair, my fiancée can’t even walk for more than 5 minutes without needing to rest. It is with no doubts that we will never be going back to Dr. Allen Gerber.
