I had booked a appointment for Keratin with Shayna.Before my keratin treatment I had a consulted Shayna what I was expecting with my hair.I was told about the options Keratin express and Brazilian blowout,so being very naive about it I asked the difference between the both and I was clearly told that there is no difference as such it’s just keratin express would last for min 2 months and Brazilian blowout would last for 6 months.So I thought that to have keratin express first and if it goes well I can do Brazilian blowout.I did Keratin express and Hair cut same day and I payed 260$ for both, was so happy that day with my hairs I booked next appointment for Hair-color for 18 Aug.So as I was told not to do Hair wash for 8 hours and I followed it, next evening I had hair wash and it was disaster for me.No one can tell that I had keratin. I have done keratin before and it went pretty well.Now I am facing hair fall and more tangles and poor hair quality.I tried to reach out the owner and explained her about my hair and she is like you won’t get curl free or freeze free hair after Keratin express, you should have done full keratin.This is so amazing to know that Keratin express which even don’t last for a day and they call it as KeratinπŸ˜‚A big big no to Jean Paul they won’t even will listen to your grievances and will support their stylist instead.Poor client handling techniques guys.Also I am adding photo where I have been told about services offered no where it is mentioned about Keratin express.Also pictures of hair after Keratin.

Even tho the staff was super nice and polite I’m so disappointed that spent 200$ on a treatment that didn’t work at all. The day I left the salon my hair looked amazing, they told me to wait 3 days to wash it. I waited and washed it as I was told ( I even bought the shampoo they recommended). However the treatment was completely ineffective and useless, so I just wasted 200$. I have done this treatment elsewhere before and I definitely know what to expect. I’m very unhappy with the results.

The service My fiancΓ©e and I received was a little uncomfortable…my fiancΓ©e felt as if she wasn’t at ease and we were charged to much for the type of pedicure we were given. They gave us a basic pedicure; such as just the soaking and exfoliating. We were charged $180. I could have did that same basic pedicure at home.

I hate leaving bad reviews but this was just a nightmare. I came in wanting my roots touched up because I had some considerable new growth. I just wanted the roots to match, I loved my color and wanted to keep it, spent years developing the right bronde-ish color. Now granted I have long thick hair but after the foils were off and we were drying it, the top half of my head was almost white blonde, and the bottom half somehow got to be dark brown. Terrified I asked tone down the blonde, and with a toner 5 shades too dark I left with soaking wet hair without a blowout or cut. As my hair was too dark I went back in for a correction and was charged full price for a partial foil πŸ™ƒ the color of the top half of my head is now back to being extremely light and the bottom very dark, as I specifically warned against and my hair is sooo damaged. The cut wasnt any better as she tried cutting it only half dry and is now uneven. Again, I spent years perfecting my hair color before this, went in for a root touch up, left over charged and with a horrible color and cut. Please beware.

Such a nice place to go and so relaxing! Today I got a lash lift and tint with Kennedy and I can’t compliment her enough! She was so kind and took such good care of me. And my lashes have the most beautiful natural look! Holidays with no mascara is basically a dream come true!

Beware if you buy hair products that they arent accepting returns because of COVID-19. They dont tell you this verbally as youre checking out BEFORE you buy, which a fully transparent business would do. Instead you find out when you attempt to return the product. Their excuse for not telling you this beforehand? It says it on the emailed receipt. You dont get a receipt until AFTER you buy something. They should be fully transparent and verbally tell customers this as they are checking out. Itll at least save people the time & drive/gas to attempt to return the item.

I love the atmosphere at Jean Paul, the place looks great and they have good COVID-19 procedures. Ashley cut my hair and she did a wonderful job. The hair washing is also great and relaxing. Will definitely come back!

One of the worst haircuts I have ever gotten. I asked for layers and I have major chunks of hair that just are not blended in to the rest of my hair. There is a whole dramatic step in my hair by my face due to poor cutting. The water was too cold. She pulled my hair too much as she was cutting. The price is too high for such a low quality experience and cut. Also, I asked if they accepted card for payment and tip on the phone before arriving to my appointment and tip and I was assured they do. When I go to pay, I am told that I can only tip with cash and that I could use their ATM. Just overall poor communication of what to expect and poor delivery of services. UPDATE: I know they responded and said they would follow up and contact me to fix it. They never did :) super bad customer service, too!

Walked in looking like Boris Johnson walked out like George Clooney - impressive what a Master Stylist can accomplish safely in just 30 minutes!

Spa is beautiful and very clean and staff is very nice and accommodating. However, my masseuse was very weak in the hands I guess you could say. I asked her to apply more pressure but it only lasted for a few minutes. I feel like I paid $90 to just have lotion rubbed over my body .

For anything related to haircut, hair coloring - I would give them negative stars! They are very rude, arrogant.and unprofessional. The first time I did my hair there, the coloring was okay but to hide mistakes in the hair cut the stylist used flat ironing which ended up damaging my hair. I had to go to another salon for deep conditioning and cut fix. A year later, I thought I should give them a second chance only coloring though. First the stylist did not explain to me the pricing or anything just did my hair as fast as she could and when I am checking-out I was surprised with the additional service fees. They claimed that adding a toner ( I did not request it) is not part of the coloring price. The receptionist was discriminatory and rude when I inquired on the extra fees. long story story, I talked to the manger twice and finally she agreed on refunding the toner fee. 3 weeks later and I have not seen the refund yet. It is not worth my time to call again but definitely stay away from this salon.

They charge you like crazy and act as if they are doing the service in free- with so much attitude. If the price is high and service is good, I would have given you points for that, but you guys tend to attract negative points throughout.Only decent service is Massage by Sarah. Thats the only decent service I have got here.

I am never disappointed with this salon. I moved here from Arizona and struggled for a salon to go to. I had an appointment with Vive. I had very long hair that everyone loved. When I sat in her chair I told her to give me a makeover. I told her no limits jut do what you think best suits me. When she cut my hair she did a short bob that was short in the back longer in the front. After she was done I started to cry she had cut over 10 inches off. I was in tears and she asked me if I hated the hair cut, truth be told they were tears of happinessI looked at myself and I looked at least 10 years younger! She got everything right color and cut. This is the only artist I trust to take care of me!

Awful. Went in for touch up on highlights and two inch trim that wouldve left me damage free on hair that comes to the middle of my back. Came out with fried, frizzy, bent, crooked pieces of hair up to my ears. Pieces broken off every where. Hairs standing straight up from my part that have broken off. When blowing drying long strands, inch long pieces all the way to millimeter size pieces coming off and covering cape in front of me.When I expressed my concern they insisted my hair isnt damaged but recommended that I buy a $35 product, $20 product, add a treatment the next time I highlight and add weekly strengthening treatments. After I paid them $193 to do this to my hair. Finally got the $35 product complimentary. They insist it will work miracles-- I guess thats the submission that they have done damage to my hair??? I think Im going to end up with a bob. Cant run my fingers through my hair without it getting caught up and feeling like cotton candy in places, even after I just ran a brush through. Looks like no heat styling for me for the foreseeable future in an effort to save my once beautiful hair.

I had a simply terrible experience there several years ago. I got a gift certificate from my husband for either hair services or a massage. I chose highlights and a cut. The stylist put three (yes, THREE) thin streaks in my hair, which were completely undetectable when dry. She also gave me an uneven trim which I actually had to fix with my own scissors in front of my bathroom mirror.All this - and pretentious, rude, snotty service (including being completely ignored and looked down upon like a piece of garbage) - for the low price of $165, PLUS a completely undeserved tip! This was several years ago, mind you.I came home that day so depressed... and it didnt help when my husband said, Oh, so you decided on the massage? AND they called me a week later to ask how I liked their service! I just hung up.I wouldnt even bother writing, but Ive heard personally from many people that they havent changed at all; so I thought Id throw in my two cents.

As I was getting ready for a rehearsal dinner last weekend my power went out. I called Jean Paul and made an appointment to have my hair curled. I also needed my eye brows done because they were a hot mess. When I got there I was greeted by Siobhan who explained that she would be working with Stephanie. We started with my eyebrows. I have weird eyebrows and Stephanie made it clear that she couldn’t shape them but she could clean them up. I’ve gotten my eyebrows done plenty of times in my life and the fact they don’t grow past a certain point has never stopped anyone from being able to shape them and make them look nice. The woman who did my make up for the wedding the next day ended up waxing them again and didn’t believe me when I said I had them done the day before. I paid $18 to have them waxed for nothing because Stephanie did such a horrible job. Then came my hair; Siobhan was the one who curled my hair. I could go on and on about how wonderful she is and if I could give her five stars I would. She was sweet, caring, and extremely helpful when I explained my hair was thinning. She even gave me tips for making my hair healthier. However, she didn’t get to finish curling/styling my hair because Stephanie came back after 30 minutes and decided she was going to finish the rest. My hair looked SO bad when I left the salon I was actually embarrassed. I paid $58 for my eyebrows and hair and it was a complete waste of money. When I got home my boyfriend said, β€œI thought that you went to get your hair done.” I ended up showering because I didn’t want to be seen in public with my hair looking the way it did. I’ve showed several people the picture of my hair since and their responses have all been the same, β€œYou paid for this?” I want to believe Stephanie was having an off day because if she treats the rest of her clients the way she treated me, she probably wouldn’t have a job or a client list. She was very standoffish and made me feel like an inconvenience for being there. Stephanie did not smile once or seem to care when I explained my concerns of my hair thinning. She was no help at all and she had no problem sending me on my way with my hair looking terrible.

But Im sure their Albany affiliates are great too.Long story short: My hair dresser for my wedding did not show up on my wedding day. Jean Pauls was able to fit me and two of my bridesmaids in at the last possible minute on a busy Saturday. They really bent over backwards for us. Very professional and accommodating.

I went to the spa at Jean Paul during their SpaWeek special. Although it was a promotional week and they were booked to capacity, you would never have known it. The staff (from receptionist to attendant to masseuse) was extremely attentive and welcoming. My only negative was that the other amenities offered in the spa were limited. The relaxation lounge is beautiful and cookies and tea is offered, but the locker room was limited (no shower, steam room, etc.) For the prices, I would hope for a little more by way of amenity. However, my masseuse Ellis had hands from heaven! I was in pure bliss by the time my appointment ended. He made the lack of amenity seem frivolous. I think someone just found himself a new client!

I went twice for a haircut and all was well. Then they tried to remove the yellow from my white hair. Some of the yellow was removed but instead of White they turned my hair pink!Their best offer was to have the same stylist try and fix it and 20% off shampoo. My request for a more senior stylist to work on it was denied. I had two other salons look at my hair and they were horrified. In both salons the fix is quite expensive.

There are no words to express the level of frustration that I feel towards this salon. Made an appt here with Katie because my mom LOVED her (which is rare) after only 2 appointments with her. After never going here and only having an appt made, i had my appointment cancelled once last week, I was heading to my appointment today where they CANCELLED AGAIN on me just 15 minutes before my scheduled time. I was already in the plaza when they called me and I rearranged my entire schedule around now TWICE for this salon. Got attitude from Priscilla the receptionist when trying to find time around my schedule to make another appointment. Highly disappointed in the customer service i received but even more disappointed that both times that my appointment was cancelled it was done 15-20 minutes before my appointment.EDIT: Amanda was in contact with my mom and tried to keep us as customers. Long story short, my money clearly didnt mean much to this salon and I ended up cancelling and getting my money back for the giftcard. What an awful experience and just an overall nightmare. The OWNER was extremely rude and disrespectful to my mom and never even apologized for the situation that went down in her salon. She was extremely unprofessional and disrespectful to us as soon as she learned about what was going on. What a joke this place was. Katie, the hairdresser that I was supposed to see never even contacted us either and she knew what was going down! How rude!

I went in for high lights and low lights (Im blonde). I left there almost crying after their Senior Stylist turned almost my whole head black. I went in with a picture of what I wanted and all I wanted to change from the picture was go a little darker with my lowlights this time but keep everything else the same.When I told her I didnt like it and I asked that she put more high lights in it she yelled at me. She stood there yelling at me and all of the other hairstylist and guest were just looking over. I asked that we fixed it because I cant see any high lights all I see is black hair all over even the high lights she put in was a darker shade then my original blonde.She stood there yelling this happens all the time when ever I do a blondes hair. You want to go darker, but then you dont like it.She didnt end up fixing it and I ended up paying $180. I have never been so disrespected and so humiliated in my life!I went to another salon right after and they fixed me all up.....for another $150.

When we agreed it would be inches below my shoulder!After literally crying all day, being so depressed about how bad I look, being overweight, and having everyone who knows me express their shock...I decided to make sure no one else gets butchered.Jean Paul owners will NOT make up for their Senior Hair Stylists mistakes. They show lack of respect and no regard.Senior Stylist Vivi is the one who hacked off my hair. I specifically mentioned my faults and that I still wanted my hair long. She showed me the length she would cut it to stretched it to each side of my shoulder (about 3- 4 inches below my shoulder, then hastily proceeded to comb my wet hair straight and grabbed the sheers and sloppily chopped (without measuring or trimming a layer at a time). I could not have stopped her.She quickly began blow drying it and curling it after the first unmeasured cuts across. You can hide a lot with blowdry and curls!!! Did she curl and blow dry to help hide that she cut it too short?? Is she just lacking the skills or was she just plain careless?At one point...when she must have seen the puzzled horrified look on my face...she said,.Oh it just looks short because its curled.. The back was left chopped and thick (my 9 year old could have done a better job and at least she would have left me with length I asked for or at least leave enough to make it sit correctly).My hair is short like an upside down ice cream cone. I reminded her about LONG LAYERS!!!! Then she grabbed it dry ---curled and chopped some angles in.It was difficult for me to see, with the cape on how short she cut it. Plus she was trying to persuade me that it wasnt short...it just looked tht way because of the curls.Vivi was careless, thoughtless, self-absorbed, unprofessional, and sloppy. I cant believe she has a lic to cut hair. Jean Pauls owners feel no remorse or need to even try to correct this. Didnt even offer me my MONEY BACK! Cold, heartless, selfish, greedy, unprofessional, and rotton!I wont be going to Disney with my family now. I have no hair to make me feel confident enough to even go to the water parks. I feel hideous.They refused to give me ViVis last name, Then they refused to give me her hairdresser lic number from the state.*******Take your business to Complexions(excellent), or a trustworthy respectful salon. You want to know you will not walk out miserable. For me it will take a year for my hair to grow back!
