My previous doctor was watching my thyroid because of up and down readings. When he moved to well med and I was not 65 yet I had to go to Dr Vela. Now as I recall Dr. Vela didnt check my thyroid. Later I had a CT scan ordered by my cardiologist on my neck arteries they spotted a mass on left side of my thyroidLater to be found cancerous and was removed.. While going to Dr Vela had several physicals and cant recall my thyroid ever being checked. Office staff very insufficient. Had hard time getting prescriptions and refills. Also the final straw for me finding another doctor was when I had a appointment during covid and he had 17 people in his lobby waiting to see him.

Dr. Rangel is an excellent doctor, I have been with them for many years and he has always been patient and listened to me, however the ladies at the reception area always have a bad attitude with patients.

First time here and Ms. Aguirre was very nice and professional . She put my mind at ease and explained everything thoroughly. I definitely will be coming back again.

Horrible front desk non approachable. We as Patients have issues leading us to come get cared for. So we are already struggling with the fact that we need medical attention but to come in and not be greeted with the up most respect is just not a pleasant time. Especially when a the greeter/front desk lady has not made eye contact and will not pick up her head to acknowledge the presence of a Patient, but has the back greeter address you clearly when standing in-front of front desk. - LVN

Ive been going to this clinic for years. Both Dr. Vela & Mr. Rangel are very nice & professional. The office staff and the nurses are extraordinary and actually go out of their way to help. Dont rely on the bad comments.

I got there at 11am when they close at 12pm, the receptionist told me they stopped taking patients at 10:30am! There was only 5 patients waiting in the lobby! She said that the back was full with patients... I hope that was the reason & they were being truthful...

Terrible experience. Mr Rangel was very open minded, proffesinal and listened to me but Dr.Vela made me feel unimportant, was completely ingorning everything i was trying to say. He was cutting me off while i was trying to mention what was going on and at the end he completely shut me down, he was raising his voice at me and didnt want to listen to a word i said and threw me the prescription receipt at the end of the conversation and just walked out without saying a word. Dr.Vela made my anxiety worse than it already was and was not listening to a word i had to say. He didnt want to listen to and deal with me so he recommended i leave and find someone else.

The front desk staff are very rude and short with patients, not willing to be helpful with questions. The wait time is always 2-4 hours, even with an appointment. As a walk in, you can expect to wait 4 hours at least, before being seen. The only good thing is the PA is very patient and knowledgable. I wouldn’t really recommend this place to someone who is always on the go and doesn’t have time to spend the day at a doctor’s visit.

The receptionists and nurses are very courteous and helpful, giving me information requested and appointments. Dr. Vela is awesome. He takes his time to explain results of tests, recommends vaccinations to fit my needs, like pneumonia/flu, etc. I will continue to be his patient.

They should make their hours from 8 to 11 if there not going to take patients. WTF? Maybe it’s a good thing, I probably dodged a bullet.

The PA Rangel is just AWESOME! Girls in the front are rude and not very friendly. Staff in the back is 👍 great !

Four months ago I had a UTI. I had alot of side effects of the antibiotics, it was making me very sick. I was dehydrated, very pale no color on my face. I had a big reaction on the antibiotics I was taking.I went to Dr. Vela and he was very disrespectful. I was shocked at his behavior.He raised his voice at me and he didnt believe my symptoms.I was very discouraged at his attitude. He didnt even explained to me why I had those symptoms.I didnt understand what was making me sick. Loss of appetite, nausea, anxiety and other symptoms.I am still having some nausea and some anxiety and some fatigue from The side effects.I did alot of research in the internet and found out myself about The problems some people have on The side effects of the antibiotics ..I ate alot of cultivated yogurt and am taking alot of probiotics and fermented food, bone broth, drinking alot of water. It has helped but I think it will take time before my gut flora is normal.The antibiotics kills the good and bad bacteria in the stomach and that causes alot of problems with the digestive system and the psychological effects that some people have with antibiotics. The doctors do not explain to patients the side effects.The PAs are very understandable and they explains and talks to the patients.

Horrible staff!!!!! Rude receptionist!!!!! Only good thing about this place is Dr. Rangel and Dr. Vela. Staff doesnt return calls, follow up with insurance and has no concern for the patients well being.

Staff needs to step up their pace and be more courteous with the patients.

Fist of all the receptionist is very bad when it come with taking to pepole and second they took way to long to see me and I know Iam a walkin but if you come in as a walking its because its an emergency she said that first she was going to take the appoinments and if they kept on coming i had to waite i came in at 2pm and right now its 4:30 and nothing very bad experience and iam not coming back

Dr. Rangel is a great doctor, he gives my son exceptional service.The only flaw is the nurses and other staff.

Mom had an appointment at 3:15 pm for results of a physical exam. She was pushed to the end and was not seen till 4:45 by staff. The receptionist and staff were not friendly what so ever.

Been on the phone for 18 minutes now and no one can help me. Supervisor decided to leave early, so I have no one else in charge to speak to. Not a reliable clinic and dont plan to be their patient.

I was happy with the service....
