I was pretty satisfied overall with my care here. Dr. Durkin is very thorough, professional, and was able to get my eyeglasses prescription dialed in even better than the last place I went to. The staff was able to get my wife and I scheduled in a timely manner.The only thing I would recommend focusing on is the front desk staff. I felt they were overall very nice, but they seemed to have a short tone in their voice that made me feel as if any questions I had were a nuisance. The only other thing I would fix is the fact I had to schedule an appointment 3 days out to just try on a pair of frames. Note: This was a special case for me. They ordered frames to try on and then I had to make an appointment for three days after they had been received.Overall this is a good place to come to if you need a thorough eye exam.

I see Dr. Durkin, and he is very kind, knowledgeable and does a great job with prescribing glasses and contacts and checking in on my vision and eye health. He takes time to talk to you about your eyes, which I think is really important. On a more superficial note, they have a huge selection of glasses too! Its a great office with great people.

I received my annual vision exam and filled a glasses prescription in frames that I purchased elsewhere at Snow and Durkin Optical. The eye exam was conducted by Dr. Snow, and he was thorough, friendly, and I felt confident in his prescription. The opticians were easy to work with, had great style suggestions, and adjusted the frames well for me. I recommend Snow and Durkin for your vision care business.

Dr. Snow always rocks! Hes thorough and explains everything along the path of my eye examination, making sure I understand all the options, and status/health of my eyesight! Hess is a rock star in her own realm in the optical dept. She walked me through all of the options of purchasing my frames and lenses, and also helped me understand the many ways that I could get additional protection for my eyes. She was thoughtful, courteous and understanding of my wants and needs. at the end of the day, I got Crizal protection on top of transitions while driving in my car...(Something I have wanted for years). Im glad she was up to snuff on her products and helped me get the perfect pair of glasses! My only request would be if it was possible to carry Oliver peoples frames.....(hint hint)

I recently moved back to the area and needed a new optometrist. I called and spoke with a very friendly person over the phone to set up my appointment. She mailed me new patient paperwork so I didnt have to sit in the office and fill it out on appointment day.When it came time for my visit, I was greeted in a professional manner. From the receptionist, to the assistant/tech, to the doctor, I had a very enjoyable experience. Dr. Durkin made me feel at home and I was extremely pleased with the entire visit.I strongly recommend Dr. Durkin, Dr. Snow, and the entire office.A+

When I made the first phone call to the office for an appointment, because of my eye condition, there was no hesitation on the part of the staff member to get me into the office quickly! (I had called one other eye care provider before calling Dr. Snows office and was told I couldnt be seen for 4 days!!) I appreciate the staffs friendly customer service since we all know its that first point of contact that can sometimes determine if a customer will want to return to a business. Dr. Snow always treats me with the utmost respect, is very knowledgeable, patient when I have questions and makes certain that I understand the things that we discussed about my eye care. I have a history of glaucoma on one side of my family, and Dr. Snow has been great helping to track indicators and provide recommendations as to how I can make small changes to my lifestyle to positively affect my eye health. Do not buy Silhouette glasses from here or any where. I bought a pair of Silhouttes for over 500$ and the whole process was a disaster. First the eye professionals totally did not help me during the whole process. I could tell right away that I needed a smaller pair since my head was smaller compared to the average adult. They insisted a terrible shape and a terrible size. Not only that, they didnt give me everything I payed for with my glasses. Very inconvenient to the customers when we have to travel back and forth. What really gets me is that these are eye professionals. You would assume that they would give you the best advice and understand what is perfect for the customer. But they dont. Seems to me they care more so about the $$$ and getting customers in and out as fast as possible. They really dont take there time to really get a feel for what you want. Yea they werent mean, but that is irrelevant. You will look at all the reviews and say well everyone else seems to be satisfied. Well yea, they probably dont care about optimal service. Listen people, when you want the perfect glasses for you, you need the perfect service. And yes, there is such a thing as perfect service. If I was a eye professional, I would really get a feel for what the customer wants. Oval, circle, square, octagon, other shape. It doesnt matter about the face shape people. It simply matters what you want more. Do you like ovals more? Then get the oval for crying out loud! These eye professionals tell you that well if you have a circle face shape, then offset it with a more rectangular or square lens. B FREAKING S. Ive done extensive research and have tried many many frames. What I found out is that it really comes down to what looks good in the mirror. Dont listen to them. Listen to you. I made a huge mistake by paying over 500$ for eyeglasses that simply arent worth it. And it wasnt worth my time either. Yes you may think this is a rant and yes you may choose to hate on me for my review, but really take this review with you next time you go here or any other eye glass place. Just giving my honest review. Hate it or love it, its the truth.

Dr. Snow always goes above and beyond the services of a DO. Recommends the best specialists when the eye problems require treatment outside his area of expertise. Even alerted my husband to a physical problem that might have gone unnoticed, had he not expressed his concern.

I have seen Dr. Durkin three times in the last 20 years, (I havent had my eyes checked by anyone else). Each time i have been in there, I have had a very good experience. i am critical, yet I also give credit where due. Dr. Durkin was very thorough in his examination, they have great technology in there to do a few different tests. We had a good expereience with the help staff, as well as Dr. Durkin, answering all our questions, explaining all the steps of things we were doing and gave my family and i a great overall experience. I would highly recommend going here for current technologies of eye exams, friendly staff and a thorough doctors exam.
