Horrible experience! If I could rate them a zero I would ! I waited at least 2/3 hours to be seen for maybe less then 20 min between the nurse and doctor I informed both I had a sore throat to the point I couldn’t swallow. and had a negative Covid-19 test . He told me to go on a brat diet because my stomach was upset too overall the nurse and the doc never gave me a strep test after starting several times my throat was super sore hard to swallow.when I asked the doc was it no way it could be strep said no ur good without looking . I got a second option the next day I had strep . Very horrible experience I waited to long for them to rush because I was the last Person to be seen that night !

Horrible service. Looks like they only care about making money rather focusing on health issues. They make you pay $100 first and let you know there is nothing they can do when you step inside. They don’t really care to know the issue of visit before saying NO. I don’t get why they call themselves doctors. I think they don’t have proper medical recommendations for patients. My first worst experience ever In healthcare!

Always quick and friendly. I prefer them over my regular doctor! Recently had an infection, they went the extra mile and got a culture done. Turned out the infection I had was not covered by the antibiotics I was originally given so they prescribed new antibiotic and I quickly recovered. I so appreciate their thoroughness. Staff is friendly and professional.

I went there today 08/08/2020. I had a severe allergic reaction to multiple bee stings - hives everywhere and trouble breathing. The receptionist was very kind and sympathetic. The nurse was kind and caring and the doctor was quick to assess and make a treatment plan. I feel so much better tonight - felt like I was dying. Great place. Highly recommended! -Claire Yocum

My daughter came to get a covid test done here at GO Care . She came at 2:45pm filled the paper work out and was told to wait in the parking lot that the wait was 3 hours. 5 hours later we find out they lost her paper work with crucial information on it. They were rude and not very empathetic.

This is the best urgent care I’ve been to. I was having an asthma flare up and I was able to get seen very quickly, got a treatment and a prescription and answers to my questions. I like that they put patients in order of priority if possible. The rooms are nice and clean and the staff are very calming and knowledgeable. I felt very well treated and taken care of and I know if I ever have any issues or know anyone who needs quick treatment, I 100% recommend this site.

Everyone there was kind, polite, professional and helpful. They looked at my injury in a timely manner, did the x-rays & equipped me with the proper mechanism I needed to wear. Gave me an entire summary of what I needed to do at home & sent me on my way. The entire experience lasted less than two hours.Although this was my first experience with them, I will always go to the Silverside medical aid unit when in need.

Went in as I had no primary care physician and was in pain from inflammation in multiple joints. Had recently had a cortisone injection from a specialist out of state, but the effects were wearing off and worsening. Explained this all to the nurse and doc. They were thorough in questioning and examining and got me out the door in less than 3 hours with prescriptions, that now filled and on initial dosages are doing the trick. Really nice, caring people who know what they are doing.

I recently fell and went to Silverside Medical Aid Unit to be evaluated. After filling out the necessary forms the staff assessed the seriousness of my injury and moved me to an exam room. With the excellent care from Dr Longo, Peg, and Mar my condition was stabilized and a treatment plan was prescribed. I will gladly recommend this facility and their excellent staff.

One of the doctors here (I’ll have to look at my paperwork to find his name) honestly saved my life about a year ago I was suffering from a horrible case of pneumonia for over a month and not one doctor could catch it.. I had already been to TWO separate hospitals including my go to University of Penn and another hospital in the area 2 weeks later and still was not diagnosed with it only diagnosed with an upper respiratory infection... finally I went to this doctor after being sick for over a month (also I have asthma so it was a struggle to breath) who finally diagnosed me with pneumonia gave me the appropriate medicine and sent me home after about a week I started to feel better and after about a month I was completely back normal.. he was an older gentleman an I believe his years of experience were unmatched! I’m so grateful for him! I truly think he saved my life it had gotten so bad I couldn’t go to work or even leave the house! I wish I could just tell him thank you one more time!

Had a bad experience here recently. The nurse was nice, but the Dr. spent all of 30 seconds with me, told me I was too young to have anything more serious wrong, and sent me home with cough medicine when I no longer have a cough. Very dissatisfied with the treatment I received. If you want a more thorough evaluation, choose somewhere else.

The wait is ridiculous. I waited over an hour and a half just so I can get my name called then wait 15 mins to see a doctor just so I can get antibiotics. This is the second time I had to wait such a long time. The first time was with my wife when she had a sprained ankle. That took about the same time. When she went, there were only 2 people ahead of her. When I went, there was only 1 person ahead of me but when a person comes in with an allergic reaction, they skip everyone. Its times like this where you doctors need to realise, you need help and you dont want it.

This was a horrible experience. My husband went in with lower back pain and received no help whatsoever. We were seen my Maria Longo PA-C (not even a really Dr. and was not under the supervision of a Dr.) She was hostile, rude, sarcastic and aggressive towards us, performed no examination and we left without receiving any help. We are now going to have to take time off of work and go to a REAL dr. to get a diagnosis and treatment. Do not go here. they will not help you. total waste of time and money. Someone should sue this clinic for malpractice!!! I only gave them one star because I had to rate them. Horrible experience.

I go to the Silverside Medical Aid Unit whenever calamity strikes and I have to get checked out. Last time I was there, is probably close to 10 years ago. Last Wednesday I needed to be checked out for a wrist/hand injury. 7 days prior I had done many stupid things and injured it somehow! I had been wrapping, resting, and icing my hand and wrist, along with taking an OTC anti inflammatory. Each day it was getting worse instead of getting better. It had gotten to the point where I had pain shooting up my forearm and through my fingers. Constant throbbing, but I could still move all my fingers. I could not roll my wrist. That causes intense pain along with an odd pressure that prevents the movement. It almost feels like your joint right before they pop or crack? So I was beginning to worry about a possible break in there somewhere. Everyone was telling me I needed to go for an xray.I took time off work, paid the $70 copay, and went to see Dr Wayne Garraway. He seemed to not be listening to my description of the day that I injured myself. I couldn’t pinpoint a specific action that caused the injury. It was a long day of frantic adrenaline filled physical labor. I needed to get 3 days for work done in a single day. I was pushing, pulling, catching, picking up and putting down heavy objects all day. In hindsight, I think I injured myself when moving two 10ft long sections of stairs. They were too hard to drag, so I flipped them end over end to get them to the place they needed to me. Pushing them up, then catching them as they fell down on top of me on the opposite side.Since I did not fall myself or remembered a specific event that caused the injury (seriously the whole day was filled with pain) Dr Garraway said it was probably a sprain. To go to the drug store and buy a splint, wrote me a script for a prescription NSAID, told me to ice for 3 days then move to heat. Focus on resting and letting the sprain heal. Please remember that I had been resting, supporting, and icing for 7 days and it was only getting worse. But the splint will immobilize things so maybe that will be the golden ticket?Dr Garraway did not want to to xrays due to increased radiation risk. That gave me major pause. I thought I was supposed to have the crazy views and opinions?I asked what I was supposed to do if the splint did not improve things, he replied to wait a week then come back in. We would do Xrays then. I left not really thrilled with my care. As I reported back to friends and family who are in medical fields they were appalled and I slowly became more angry.Waiting 2 weeks after an injury to Xray is the wrong way to do things. Then you boil it down to the facts. I was prepared to pay the $70 copay, plus the 40% of the xrays that my insurance doesnt cover.I am not prepared to pay $140 in office visit copays plus xray costs. Coming back in a week is unrealistic for my current circumstances.I wasted $70 along with 2 hours of my time to basically heal a potential break at home for the next several months. Hoping that it heals correctly. So far, I’m not getting any better. Heat makes everything throb more, so I’m sticking to ice. The prescription anti inflammatory does not appear to be doing much of anything. The splint seems to help since things are not getting worse. I’m wearing that 24/7 even when showering. I bought 2 for this purpose. I am using vet wrap to support my hand under the splint due to thumb pain.I will NEVER step foot inside Silverside Medical Unit again. The more I think about how the appointment went, the more I feel that this was negligence. Now I’m still in pain, with no clear answers, and angry.

I was shocked (although I shouldnt have been) that the physician that treated me Dr. W.S. Garraway was a true racist. If you are a person of color and happen to go to this medical unit when he is on call, think again. I was told based on his diagnosis and the fact that he kept talking about monkeys with the staff outside of the open door patient room that he should have his license revoked.

Ive visited this center 3 times in the past few years. Only using them when I couldnt get a quick appt with my PCP. Two of the 3 visits I was treated by Dr. Garraway and each time I felt he dismissed my complaint of pain. The most recent visit was this past Thursday 6/28. When I complained about my pain he told me I was being dramatic. He continued to discuss treating the symptoms but I had to ask what can I do about the pain. After all it was the pain that caused me to seek care. He said I think youll be fine in a few days. In other words, just suffer thru until you feel better. Well I didnt need to pay $100 to hear that. In the future, Ill wait for my PCP or try Medexpress.
