I originally had my final appointment set with Dr. Farooqui, but I was called two days prior to my appointment and was told the doctor couldnt make it. I was forced to fit in an appointment at a later one that didnt work as well with my schedule because I needed the clearance asap. There are two women at the front desk. Stephanie is nice and polite, but the other woman that schedules the appointments is not. She lacks common courtesy and is rude. The nurse is also nice. The problem with this place is they all dont seem to care whether their patients are unhappy or not. Ive gone here for a few appointments and I always arrive 10-15 minutes early, and especially here because they have a strict late and no show policy. After waiting 15 minutes until my appointment time, I co to hed to wait to be called back. Normally, you would expect to be called back within 15 minutes after your appointment time. After seeing my frustration after sitting in the waiting area for for an additional 20 minutes after my appointment time, the nurse asked me to come back into the room. Im a student and I was missing classes because of this appointment. After taking my weight and pulse, the nurse said the doctor would be in the room within 5minutes. About 5 minutes pass and I can hear the doctor has finished with his other patient and Im patiently waiting for him to prep to come see me. Instead another 15 minutes go by where he has a conversation with other colleagues, completely disregarding he has another patient waiting. Frustrated, I walked out of the room and said its ridiculous to wait over 45 minutes just to be seen, to which the woman who schedules appointments exclaimed that waiting this long is normal and that I need to be patient and that its my fault for coming early. Yes I came early, but the wait time on top of that is still ridiculous. I decided to avoid further conflict and went back to the room. The Dr. seemed like he wasnt aware I was waiting that long and came in promptly after overhearing my encounter with that woman. He only talked to me for 5 minutes. He basically checked my breathing and said I was cleared to leave. Waste of time, but theyre one of the only specialists here. Plan to take the whole day off if you come here.

This place is about money first, your health second. I arrived 15minutes early for my first appointment as directed to fill out new paitient paperwork. I was held up by the receptionist who didnt greet me or tell me to hold, but made sure to hold her hand up to the window so I wouldnt open it while she talked with the other girls for a minute. By the time I completed everything it was time to be seen but figured it would be another 10-15 minutes of waiting like any other doctors office. IT WAS 44 MINUTES until I was seen!!! This was frustrating because I took off two hours in the middle of my work shift for the appointment. I was late getting back to work. My meeting with the doctor consisted of me confirming everything that was filled in on the paperwork, and the doctor listening to my lungs/breathing for 2 minutes. The meeting with the doctor lasted AT MAX 15 minutes. I some how walked out with a sample prescription and two prescriptions to pick up, but still had no idea what was wrong with me.... upon exit, my copay was request but at the time I didnt have the funds to pay, so I requested a bill, which is NOT AN OPTION at this office. They agreed to let me pay at the next appointment. My first visit was terrible but figured I really need to get my lungs under control. For my second visit, my previous fee had quadrupled and they refused to see me unless I paid. I told them the previous fee was $30, but the receptionist replied with well this is what your insurance is saying. Do you know what your insurance is? I cancelled all future appointments.

If I could give them zero stars I would. I have been dealing with this awful office since December and now .. they have NO information that a second sleep study was ordered.. ( as if a person would have a 2nd sleep study for the fun of it )! It’s been 3 weeks and no results and they can’t find my information.. Seriously Awful service from day 1! ( the machine wasn’t working so visit was extremely long) .. also.. why are they Never available? Late arrivals and early leave .. never going to them again!

I have copd and been going to her for 8 years. I am at the point where I can walk 4 to 5 miles 3 days a week and another 1 plus miles 3 times a week. Before being treated by Dr. Farooqui I had a hard time walking any kind of distance. I never had problems with billing . They take my copays and thats all. Dr. Told me whenever I feel I am getting bronchitis not to call primary care physician to call her. I do and by the end of her day my prescriptions are called into Walgreens.

Took one test for a job. On a Monday. It has been over three weeks and they have yet to send test results to primary care. Every time I call all I get is the same answer. The test results were faxed to the doctor. I would go there but tge only time they are open is 9-5 Mon-Fri. And there is only an answering service after hours. Horrible place. Doctors will fix your health. But ruin you fiancially. Whats the point!? Better off dead in that case.

Im currently enrolled in the bariatric program and was recommended here by my surgeon....it took forever to get an appointment then I get me lung test done....forever to be reseen for the results...which were fine....then she says well I want u to get a sleep study done.....pointless I dont have sleep apnea......that was the second week of February and its now April 2 nd I still dont have my test results .....I have called 6x no answer back no one answers the phone ......Wilmington hospital has called for me no less than 12x and they never responded to them either...they are holding me up from getting my clearance for surgery which should have happened by the end of February! When I did finally got thru the woman who answered had no clue what I was talking about and no interest in helping me.....long story short dont come here if you need help....Im seeing another doctor and got an appointment the same day! And they called me Everytime I left a message.....to hell with Dr farooqui and her office! She has wasted enough of my time

This doctor sucks! Will not return calls, very unprofessional, schedules you for tests but will not tell you why or what the results of a test are. would not recommend to anyone

This business is not worth a visit. I have had asthma all weekend so I called to get an appointment to be seen this week. I was told the doctor is on vacation and cannot see me until the end of next month. By than I will be dead of an asthma attack! Not only does this doctor take a vacation but has no one to back him up while he is away. No one there to authorize refill for my prescriptions either. Whats the point of having a practice if your not available to your patients or have someone taking care of them while your away. Looking for another doctor!!!
