Ms. Whitehead saved my daughter, she immediately jumped though hoops to get her to the specialist she needed with in a week. She is an amazing practitioner.
Erin Whitehead is more concerned about filling the coffers of Wilmington Health than the well being of her patients or she is simply incompetent. My 17-year-old daughter has mild hemiplegic cerebral palsy and I took it upon myself to have her evaluated in South Carolina at Next Step to see if she needed any special medical equipment on her car since her CP affects the right side of her body. The man that evaluated her said she is fine and does not need any special equipment, just practice. We did not take her for her license until over 2 years after her permit. Her examiner at the DMV passed her on her first road test but I opened my mouth and said something about her CP. The examiner was surprised and said she had never dealt with this and we may need a medical release. So we have a DMV examiner that passes her and an expert in evaluating drivers give his approval and fax his evaluation but Nurse Practioner Erin Whitehead can not sign a release without sending her to a neurologist. How she knows more than experts in the driving arena is beyond me.
