Very good and well organized place. I felt very comfortable and easy about getting a check up or physical done. They even took some blood and I am very uncomfortable with needs. They made a very easy and stress free experience

I was seen 1 hour after my scheduled appointment time, despite an empty parking lot. Dr. Visser rushed through my exam, as if he had something more important to do.

Friendly, Knowledgeable, courteous staff. I see Mrs. McDowell, she is so nice & cares about patients needs. Lady in the lab rocks, she always does a great job with blood draws!

Horrible. Had an issue with my throat that felt extremely serious so I called to make an appointment. The nurse I talked to said she was going to transfer me to a triage nurse to evaluate my condition. I explained what was going on so she told me she would schedule me at 8am the next day. Well I showed up and was told that I had no appointment. I explained what I was told and still was told no sign of that happening and I could schedule an appointment for later that day at 12pm. I said fine. Not at one time did any of these fine folks have any empathy for my situation. I was told if it felt that urgent to go see the walk in place they had down the road. It felt pretty urgent and i am scared so I went there. The doctor there basically told me whatever it was wasnt killing me at the moment and to just keep my appointment with the primary care provider. They could dig deeper and im like ok fine. So i went to my appointment as scheduled and then was told once again i cant be seen because of some billing issue because i was seenbat the other place.... welp i was told by both places to go to the other. Not at one time was I told i couldnt be seen by the primary care provider. Also at no time any empathy was shown for my situation. Im beyond upset at the total lack of compassion and care shown from this place. I am never going back here again. Ill die first. People there act like you are an inconvenience or stupid for not knowing there billing policies. Seriously would have been much better have someone just acted understanding of my situation as well as acted like there was some solution rather then treating me like that.

BEFORE this practice became part of Wilmington Health it was fine. Now, it is not so good. Staff isnt the same... today I came for an appointment and stood at the check in window waiting for the woman to finish her chat with the other office staff before she could be bothered to even acknowledge me. Now, Ive been waiting for an hour in the exam room...an hour. No doctor, my blood hasnt been drawn, nothing. HUGE WASTE OF MY TIME. I will be seeking a different practice for future care!

Unbelievable, called Thursday, Friday, Monday and have not received a response to a important question. I dont think it should take 3 days to get a return call from a clinician

I came to ask for copy of my bloodwork results and question why my prescription med was not ordered (that supposed to be done two weeks ago). I could not see the nurse without writing down the reason for my visit. So I wrote down the above mentioned and spent an hour waiting at the office with no responce. I left the place with nothing and finally recieved a call 40 min. later. The nurse promised to mail the copy of my results and remind the doctor about filling my prescription. Now you be the judge of quality of service at the place.

I was just curious as to who is in charge of this practice, specifically the Shipyard location. Lisa is my practitioner but has been on maternity leave, so I had to see Scott Vissor. I went in yesterday for a follow up to get refills for my medications before the hurricane since I just ran out. During my appointment I was talked down to, interrogated, insulted, and blatantly lied to twice by doctor vissor. I went in wanting to lower the mg of two of my medications and keep the 3rd one the same as I lowered the other two, but instead, he doubled the amount of one of my medications and reduced the one I didnt want changed by 1/4th when I verbally confirmed with him TWICE that he would NOT change my other two medications in any way. I have been on these medicines for 6 months now, I have struggled with depression and anxiety for over 10 years now. I went in today and the staff is as wonderful and helpful as can be. I truly love this establishment and have been going here for many years now. I dont understand how Dr. Scott vissor can blatantly lie to me and get away with tampering with my health.
