I’d give 0/5 if that was a choice. Noon appointments start then, not after 1:30. It baffles me how a Doctor’s office of all places can run so inefficiently...

My experience with Brandywine Urology was life saving. My primary care doctor told me that my PSA count was high and to get to urologist soon. Dr Mitchell found that my prostate was 99 percent cancerous. Dr.Mitchell did the biopsy to confirm his suspicions and recommended removing using robotic surgery. Come to find out, Dr.Mitchell is one of the top surgeons in his field and heads up the robotic surgical dept. at Wilmington hospital. He performed my surgery and I am still alive, cancer free and all functions are good. So I would recommend Brandywine urology to anyone in need of a urologist. Thanks again Dr.Mitchell.

The doctors get glowing reviews but I found the receptionist a bit challenging.

I had a very good experience at brandywine urology consultants. The staff were courteous and professional. Dr Andrew glick is the best. He made me feel very comfortable.

With so many negative reviews on BUC I promised myself if I had a positive experience there today Id write a positive review. I DID have a good experience. I was able to schedule quickly and painlessly. I got an email allowing me to enter information into a portal interface. That led to a very short wait time when I arrived today. The guy that checked my blood pressure and took my weight was a real hoot! Funny as can be. Saw Melissa and she was professional, courteous and all things a nurse practitioner should be I would say. Thank God I left there with good results too. Thank you God.

It Is impossible to get anything accomplished with this office. You have to leave a message for the nurse to call you back, but if you miss their call you have to go through the same routine. It turns into a game of phone tag. I just tried to schedule an appointment and was told there were no openings until August 2020! The doctor was very nice and seemed knowledgeable, but dealing with the staff is a nightmare. It’s been over a month and my issue is still not resolved.

Really not sure why there are so many bad reviews. After reading them all, I still went through with contacting them. From the first call to the last visit, everything was as smooth as it could be. Everyone I spoke to or came into contact was friendly and informative. I had a vasectomy and was def nervous, but after meeting with the DR, then speaking with the nurse on procedure day, I was totally calm. For those guys who are worried about this procedure, like I was, its really no big deal. I would have the procedure done every Friday to get those guaranteed 2 days off for rest haha! Anyway, dont be put off from the reviews and give them a try.

This is a post regarding my experience with this office. Unfortunately my standpoint is for a family member who was treated by a doctor who told her she needed a serious surgery that was very extensive. Due to covid her surgery was delayed multiple times (totally understandable). The unhappy part is days before she was finally scheduled she was told they are not capable of helping her. This is a sad situation my mother has waited months for help and relief only to be told sorry we were wrong you need someone with more experience. The office told my mother we will call personally to get you in at a hospital and help any way we can. Guess what we are now a week out and not even a phone call from the doctor or staff to see how my mother is doing or helping her get an appt somewhere else. Make sure you check these docs out before seeing them or sending a family member...they drop the ball and dont bother to follow up with their pts.

Saw actual doctor for 5 min, then was subsequently pushed off on nurses for months. Never once did anyone do any type of physical examination and their way of treating was to prescribe antibiotics for months. Did I mention they misdiagnosed my issue? Staff is rude and treats you like a number. Get you in, get you out, get your money, who cares.

I should have read the reviews before going here. My first experience was terrible with office staff. Very difficult to get simple answers to questions like, when will you call me? When is my next appointment? What do I need to do? Very sad as it seems the doctors are caring and competent. AVOID AT ALL COSTS

The staff that handles the appointments are very rude. I wish i could say this was my first experience but it wasnt.Last week i called to cancel an appointmentToday i called after receiving a text reminder about my appointment. I informed the staff member that i cancelled this appointment last week. She immediately cut me off to tell me that i did not cancel. Calmly i stated that i did in fact cancel and she cut me off again to tell me she will cancel now. I never was able to get a full sentence in...very rude and discourteous behavior. If it wasnt for the medical staff the rating would be a 1.

I’ve never had such a terrible experience with a medical office. The billing department was incredibly rude and unapologetic to my wife and I. Those aren’t good qualities to portray when you’re dealing with patients.Please do yourself a favor and, as with any doctor office, consider the reviews and your choices before deciding to become a patient here. I’m always weary of negative reviews, as everyone can have a one-off bad experience, but I’ve dealt with so many doctors and billing departments in my lifetime and this is the first one that has left me wanting to share my thoughts in a review.

The staff at this office is terrible!!! The girls that answer the phones for scheduling are very rude and not helpful what so ever. they should not be in costumer service esp. a young lady names Lisa! I have never been treated so disrespectfully in my life!! If it werent for the recommendation to see Dr. Cozzolino we would have never even scheduled an appointment. Now months down the road i am 100% regretting my decision to drive so far to be treated this way! Dont try to talk to Nathan the office manager about his staff, his attitude is just as bad!

Office staff is friendly and was able to squeeze me in to see the doctor quickly. Highly recommend Dr.Cozzolino and his nurse Nicole. Both have been very informative and helpful!

Very rude staff. They all are rude and even cuss at you on the phone. Doctors are ok but there must be better in the area. Will go to Philadelphia before I go back to these jerks. They must write their own testimonials in their ad, I cant believe there are that many stupid people in Wilmington.

I agree with other reviewers- this practice is absolutely awful with communication. Trying to speak with Dr. or practitioner is beyond frustrating. I have never experienced such poor patient relations before, and caution anyone considering this practice to look elsewhere.

Rude, unresponsive, and extremely unprofessional. The Dr is good but in rush always due to # of patinece I assume. I am Dr teranovas patient and it has been a month and a half I have been trying to get a CT done post procedure and they cant provide info to my insurance or return my calls for that matter. Always goes to nurse and nurse as if has no msg. Horrible horrible experience.

Horrible , they are a business. I called 8 times in the last two days for results and nothing , finally get an answer and the lady says what your info , i start telling her my info and she interrupts me say ok I got it . I’m tired of having to act as if a certain way towards businesses and have to sit and take what they give , from now on I’ll hold businesses accountable ! Don’t stand by your word ? Absolutely aweful, no response, no test results 28 hrs later, and this is after a procedure that they botched causing a huge amount of pain. Complete disregard for my comfort

Dare I say I enjoyed my vasectomy? I dare. Dr. Desperito was the total package. He had a great personality, easy to talk to like a regular guy, and his bedside manor was perfect for me. I can’t believe I am online writing a review for a doctor, which must tell you how great an experience I had. I come from the world of small, family business, so I know how important online reviews can be these days. I have a 43-year history of terrible medical experiences, and horrible interactions with doctors. I was nervous about the procedure. He kept me talking the entire time, my mind occupied and my mouth busy. He feigned interest in everything about me, just to keep me preoccupied mentally. It worked like a charm, and I am very grateful. I was shocked at how “nothing” the procedure was. My wife was shocked when I was out so quickly. She didn’t believe I had the procedure, and requested confirmation from the doctor. Right now it is a day and a half later and I don’t have any signs of being altered for life. No pain, discomfort, or aches. Dr. Desperito knows what he is doing.At the end he left with a handshake that I reluctantly shook. He said, “Hope to never have to see you again.” This part hurt a bit, as I thought we had a real friendship bond, especially after what we just went through together. Thanks for the positive medical experience Dr. Desperito. Not only would I refer Dr. Desperito, I plan to talk about him to anyone that will listen.

Dr. Cozzolino was the first of three urologists to treat my bacterial prostatitis after I was deferred to him by his nurse practitioner, Katie Abernathy. – Having never seen him Katie scheduled me for a cystoscopy in his office and I was assured that I needed no meds and that it would not be painful. Complete lie and worst pain of my life; my current urologist said that this was completely inappropriate given my young age (nerves much more sensitive) and should have been under for it. Katie also told me that Dr. Cozzolino would be able to see bacteria from the cystoscopy and when I asked him after the procedure he looked at me like I was crazy and said that this test cannot see bacteria. – When my prostate infection came back I called daily for a week, finally his lead nurse Nicole said I was mistaken, but my pain was horrid. I then said that I needed to get into him urgently because you are not correct and we need to culture immediately. They could only squeeze me 6 weeks out because his schedule is full for 5 months. I then said that I wanted to see another doctor and they said I could not because I was Cozzolinos patient. So I had no choice to leave the practice, and for the record the culture was positive and it did come back. (Next urologist ordered it) – I shared my experience with my new primary care doctor and she said that she has also heard additional bad things about Cozzolino despite his high regards and does not refer her patients to him. --- Also when my pain was so horrible I went to ER and they said I needed to see Cozzolino within 2 days and they still refused to schedule me. ---- This office is bad on every count, they are very careless. You will be sorry if you trust them, Id recommend driving to Chesapeake Urology instead; they are among the top urology practices in the country and fluent in modern research while providing exceptional care. -- Be aware that Brandywine Urology hires professionals to leave inaccurate positive reviews here and on Healthgrades; dont fall for the trap and only trust reviews from well reputable users with many reviews.
