I went in to the salon wanting a spiral perm. My hair is naturally straight and very thick. Heather, Sara and Kendall were awesome. Heather spent a long time just putting rods in my hair. In the end not only did I get my curly spiral perm that goes below my shoulders and my hair is styled in long layers with bangs. I feel great and i have a new look. I will go no where else from now on. This team rocks!!

I cant say enough how happy I am. My hair looks absolutely awesome. Kendall and Carley made me feel so special and they really cared how I look and how I felt about my hair. He also has an amazing hair restoration center with a wig boutique that caters to both men and women. The atmosphere here is unmatched and also check out his amazing original artwork.

Such a shame Im writing this especially since just 6 months ago I gave the place a nice 5 star review. Mind you that was after my first visit.Ever had a business reel you in then after that they dont know you?You cant get them to respond to phone calls or emails? That would be Kendall and his business SBBHes obviously sitting just fine with an overabundance of clients for himself but he sure isnt looking after his stylists that he connects you with after your first visit. He only deals with the hair restoration side of the business 1 day per week and quite possibly spreads himself out too thin.I could never seem to get an exact price or availability from anyone there.Out of the 6 or 7 times going for service there the prices were different each time I went.Highest prices Ive ever experienced there in Wilmington NC Lol.Higher then places in Lauderdale, Philly, DC, Md, Az. I have been too. Nearly double the price of some places!With those prices I would expect more Professionalism.Ive waited 3 weeks now for a return email or phone call from Kendall that i finally realized wasnt going to happen , so here I am.Ill save myself the 3 hour round trip and the money and just stay local!

Kendall does amazing work and has got an excellent team. If I had to recommend a hair stylist to anyone it would be Kendall without a doubt. Unlike most of the hairdressers in this town Kendall actually knows what he is doing and still takes into consideration what you would like.

Have been a client of Kendalls for 4 years and wouldnt go anywhere else! His expertise in hair color is second to none and I always love my cut. This salon is clean and friendly and Kendall makes sure you leave beautiful and satisfied!!

Wish had my daughters Ashlee talent. She really knows her stuff. Wish she could cut my hair more often.My color stays so much longer even with all my swim lessons I teach. One of the hardest things for my wife, when we move, is to find a new hair stylist. After a couple attempts without much satisfaction we were referred to Salon Beyond Basics. With a daughters wedding coming up it was critical to communicate exactly what she wanted her hair to look like. I really wanted to like this salon and maybe some of the other stylists are ok but my haircut and color is a disaster!! Its choppy and uneven and the color is fake looking and brassy - sorry Ashlee but you need to go back to school
