I work at Blue Cross Blue Shield and they are a great company!

I called the Williston location about obtaining health insurance and was told to stop in and speak to a representative.. without being informed of a deadline to do so. So i stopped into to the Williston Location to talk about my insurance converge like i was told to over the phone. I missed the group deadline but i qualify for special circumstances.. upon walking in I was poorly greeted by a woman who appeared to be a receptionist I asked about insurance coverage she was visible annoyed and asked me to sit down.. she shut me down about obtaining insurance right now because the window has closed. without even hearing what i had to say or looking up my name at all. She told me they could do nothing for me and that i would not be able to regain my insurance until November. She also told me that my circumstances did not “qualify” which is super weird because I called blue cross blue shield the moment i left.. and amazing enough they were wonderful and helpful and helped me get my insurance that had lapsed 9 days prior due to me losing coverage from my husbands plan. They helped me get on an individual family plan from the group plan. Frustrating i had to call the 1800 number instead of being able to go into my local office and be helped.Call blue cross blue shield of ND yourself instead of visiting this office.
