I attended Your Leadership Edge this week in Kansas City, Kansas. This program through Kansas Leadership Center is jam-packed with valuable information about leadership and provides large, medium, and small group opportunities to engage and learn. It was awesome to have so many different groups represented in the room including government, education, non-profits, churches, and business leaders. Whatever your position in any group or organization, everyone can learn something in this program. I am glad I committed the time and energy to attend this week!

This leadership conference was exceptionally useful. The 6-person group experience was very rich with the discussion maturing in amazing ways as we did the exercises. The larger group meetings were great background for these small group experiences. I highly recommend this course to lead better in all aspects and stages of life.

Words cannot adequately express what this conference has done for me. My paradigm concerning leadership has changed and I am ready to create a trustworthy environment by applying the principles I have learn in this three day conference with experts on the topic. I encourage every leader to enroll for the upcoming workshop. You will be glad you did!

The venue is great. I love the layout. The Your Leadership Edge course was excellent. Its essential training for anyone who wants to be an effective leader. I highly recommend it.

A very rewarding and challenging program. The materials are excellent and do a good job of introducing new concepts and a new vocabulary for known concepts. The staff and presenters were first rate and went out of their way to invite one into the process and to make one feel welcome.

I love the Leadership training I just attended. It helped me to open up to new ideas and experiences that I can apply to work. The staff are friendly and very supportive. I would recommend this to anyone who wants to learn about leadership.

I think everyone should take this classess,it is experiential, makes you get out from your comfort zone. It has change my mind about how I look leadership, making easy and structure my leadership skills. Food was healthy and delicious. Teachers were open and available. Building it is amazing for learning.

Beautiful facility, well suited for its purpose. Excellent staff. Breakfasts were tasty and a variety was presented. Tasty snacks and beverages were always available. Lunches, on the other hand were bland, limited choices, and we were presented with over cooked, dry, tasteless chicken three days in a row. We all appreciated the busboy, Stephen, so much always on the job yet an engaging personality, nice job!

I have attended various trainings at KLC - all of them have pushed me to expand both my definition of leadership and integration of it throughout various facets of my life. My only wish is that it were even more accessible. We need to develop leadership in as many people from as many different backgrounds as possible to truly make progress on the issues of our time.

In my opinion, KLC is second to none when it comes to leadership training and development. They consistently deliver on quality, applicability and innovation every time I’m there and I’ve been returning for six years now. For me – they are as good as it gets.

I love the KLC! Great, practical advice and tools and techniques that you can use (and are encouraged to use) immediately! Practice involves real situations from your life to improve your leadership, and the experimental mindset and open dialogue that they encourage are things that are sorely needed in the world today.

This was a great opportunity for me to experience the unfamiliar. The benefits came from the environment and interacting with the other attendees. The topics were good and provide a new perspective on how to tackle challenges youll face, but for me it was a platform to start developing a new side to myself.

KLC has truly changed the way that I think about how I build relationships, how I interact with others and how all of that impacts my work and personal life.I love the peer groups and made lasting friendships and learned how to build trust and practice our leadership skills. One of the best things about the Lead for Change program is the opportunity to have personal coaching. The coaching was by far one of the best benefits of the training as it allowed an internal processor such as myself an opportunity to reflect and learn in a one-on-one setting outside of the classroom. Our peer group all unanimously agreed that the coaching was one of the best parts of KLC! Thanks for a great experience. Onward to do my part to help make Kansas a better place for all!

Im so grateful for the time Ive been able to spend engaging and learning through the professionals at KLC as well as the hundreds of Kansans who are coming together to make a difference in their communities! The KLC experience has literally been life changing for me as Ive fully immersed myself in each opportunity,. Im still at the beginning of this journey so look out world, here I come!

Your Leadership Edge training was a great opportunity to learn not only the core skills KLC teaches, but to also learn from other community leaders across the state.

I participated in You Lead Now this June and it has helped me see leadership in a different light. I am now more aware of my own strengths and weaknesses, have a better grasp on a variety of ways to help facilitate positive change, and feel more confident about helping others see their own leadership potential.I would recommend the KLC programs to anyone that wants to make lasting positive change in their community or work place.

KLC had some interesting moments, but in my opinion groups are too big and diverse. Ill recommend to have different training sessions with similar vision, like religious group or non-profit groups or upper management group, this way discussion will be more useful

Amazing staff and amazing concept to leadership. I have taken other leadership training classes such as J.F.D.I. in Nevada and they cost four times as much. I got more out of the YLE training in the first half day than any other program I have attended. Tim Steffensmeier is an amazing facilitators and person. It was a pleasure learning from him! One of the most powerful experiences of my professional life occurred as I completed Lead for Change, a 7-days professional development experience offered by the Kansas Leadership Center in Wichita. This experience was transformative! I learned a great deal about how to effectively interact with others in order to make progress on difficult issues, and, I learned about myself including my strengths and vulnerabilities. As a part of this experience I participated in a series of personal coaching sessions. My coach, Dr. Mildred Edwards, was instrumental in helping me develop a customized strategy for moving forward with both my personal and my professional life so that I can be an agent of change for the common good. I recommend this experience to anyone who truly wants to change their communities and themselves. Thanks KLC!

I learned so much while in the training for Your Leadership Edge. I enjoyed the participants in my Edge group, the diversity among all in the training together and also got alot out of our lab leader, Adrion.
