Showed up for my 1:30 appointment yesterday, and was informed they were closing the facility. They were unable to tell me why.

I have donated platelets here several times and have no complaints. The staff is made up of the nicest people who will do anything to make you comfortable during your donation. You can read a book or watch Netflix while you donate. I downloaded the app and I can see when I can donate next, I can schedule an appointment and get more information. Cannot say enough good about this operation.

The Sunday morning platelet staff area simply the best.

Where we lived before here the blood donation center would give away little prizes like movie tickets, here nothing.Then I put up with dozens of calls asking me to come back the minute my 3 months is up.Then I drive all the way over here from the west side, and they’re only doing platelets.I’m probably done with trying to help.

Staff is funny and friendly enough to make you almost forget they are sticking a needle in your arm. Donating whole blood takes an average of 90 minutes from the time you walk in the door. They are really nice to new comers, and will go out of their way to alleviate your concerns and worries before starting.

Pathetic. Show up 30 minutes early for a Power Red donation. I sit, and watch 7 people who came after me, walking, get called back. Then little Ms. Dana wants to laugh at me? I will keep what I have, and reserve it for loved ones if needed. Horrible service from what I used to think was a top-notch non-profit agency.

Save a life give blood or volunteer your time

Has a high turn over rate. Ask for a phlebotomist who has worked there for at least a year to stick you if you have small or difficult veins. Theyre all nice, but theres alot of newbies.
