Always clean with a great family and gym atmosphere that always promotes and rewards hard work and perseverance. Always greeted with a smile and a warm welcome which makes it feel like a second home. Clean locker room with an amazing lounge room and spotless showers, cleaner than my own. Trainers always nice and more than willing to help give tips and tricks even when they aren’t training you. With a great manger in Travis Simon who will not rest until you become assimilated into the lifting life. With super hot front desk girls.

If you like to exercise, Genesis is definitely “the RIGHT PLACE TO BE.” I enjoy personal training. It keeps me motivated to stay fit. Genesis has a lot of personal trainers to pick from. I know there is the right one just for you! In my case, I have two personal trainers. Tiger Faulkner is really good at knowing proper body positioning and nutrition. He makes it all FUN! Manny Aceves makes you work hard! I mean really hard!!

I have severe arthritis in both my knees and my dr told me I needed to exercise. Conventional exercise was not going to work so it was suggested that I try water aerobics. So I joined the club in March 2021 and could not be more pleased with the results. The classes are fun and energetic and best of all I have lost 40lbs and my knees are starting to feel better. So thank you Tim for getting me signed up and to Becky, Rhonda, Mona and the other instructors for making class so much fun.. You guys are great.

Excellent club. They really know how to take care of you and they do. Leave deodorant and soap at home no prob they take care if you well worth money and if you cant pay they will work with you ☺️

I absolutely love this gym! The staff is so friendly, gym is very clean, not always super crowded (which is nice if you’re an anxious person and you don’t like working out around a lot of people like me), great protein shakes! I could go on and on, I’m definitely glad I joined this gym!

This was the first Genesis I’ve been to in person, and I absolutely loved it! I’ve always have heard great things about the facility’s and the employees but have never experienced it for myself til a few months ago. The environment is always very cleaned and is well equipped with tons of equipment. Everyone there was very welcoming and made sure to make me feel at home

The staff and managers at the west central location have been absolutely astounding in there level of service both professionally and personally. A big shout out to Dallas Guinn for his constant flow of knowledge and motivation, and Tim for all of his assistance and just being an all around good guy!

Work out, swim, play tennis, run laps, weights and weight machines. I love the groups, Group Power, Group Cycle, Core Challenge, etc. The best instructors and really saving my life and restoring health. Thank you so much to Tonya and Anne and all the instructors for so much dedication and hard work!

It’s a very good gym. Never super busy plus open 24hrs so I can go whenever. Love the environment here everybody knows everybody and pushed eachother to do better. Also Travis Simon is the best trainer you can have for whatever goal you want to achieve.

Taylor and Shelby have been instrumental in getting me back on track. These ladies know what they are talking about, aim to please, and are not shy about putting your plan to purpose. West Central is where you need to be. Never a dull moment and you will thank them later.

Superior world class aquatics area for conditioning or cross-training in the full size pool or rehabbing in the large heated therapy pool and oversized in ground hot tub.Multiple sets of free weights in a giant lifting area. Love this gym, nearly as good as the country club I used to go to in Scottsdale Arizona that was $300 a month. Everyone is super nice, sauna is always hot. Always an open machine or weight set. Plenty of room. Tiger is a good trainer also.

Scam facility with predatory practices. I went to claim a free week and only sought to try them out, but they tricked me into giving them my credit card. I tried to cancel, but they charged me for an entire extra month, despite only just signing up. Between the processing fees and charges, Ive spent over $100 for just two weeks of use. Please be careful coming here

I would highly recommend the junior tennis program at Genesis west. The coaches are very kind and knowledgeable about the game and work with kids of all skill levels. We started our daughter there when she was very young and knew nothing about tennis. They taught her fundamentals of the game and worked with her in group classes and private lessons and she is now a very solid tennis player.

Everytime I come in it puts a smile on my face. The front desk is very welcoming and staff is very professional!!

West Central location is my favorite. Most of the facilities are great with the exception of the mens steam room(nasty smell and never hit enough) and the hot tube. (Only works about half the time)

I have been coming to the West Central location for years and love the atmosphere and the service! Not only do they have a great setup for cardio and weights, but also the staff is always going above and beyond to make members feel welcome!

I only use the pool area and quite a bit of the time the PT pool and hot tub is broke down!!!! Maintenance is definitely on the bottom of the scale. The water extractor in the men’s locker room is broke down all the time and nobody seems to care!!! Rodney definitely needs to hire more maintenance people, but I’m not holding my breath on that!!!!!

We absolutely love the tennis instruction at Genesis West! The coaches are wonderful and professional. Both their private and group lessons are great. My daughter loves it and has made great strides!!! Highly recommend!

This is by far the best gym I’ve been to. The employees are super helpful, I’m new to lifting weights and the employees here are always happy to help me when I need to know how to do a new exercise . The gym is always clean and it doesn’t get super crowded so you usually never have to wait for a machine.

This is my favorite club to workout at! All of the Genesis locations are great, but this one has the most equipment available out of the locations in my area of town. Besides top-notch weight room equipment, they have a basketball court, indoor Olympic size pool, tennis courts, an excellent nursery, and more. They have great group fitness classes, including classes that are fun for the kids!

Legit late night gains and trains. Love it!

My husband & I have been members since June 2019. Had a great trainer, enjoyed water classes and have an excellent yoga and stretch class instructor. Really improved our strength and fitness. We work out in the gym 2 to 3 Xs/wk. Really like the facility. Have every activity most people want. It is clean, pleasant and staff is very friendly and helpful

We have been going to Genesis since before it was Genesis. We often say we dont know what we would do if we didnt have it. We have used the equipment, trainers, massage therapist, you name it but our true love is group fitness classes. We go to the early 5 AM classes which require great effort but when you make it its worth it. We love all of our instructors who manage to make it so much fun, Angie, Cherisse, Ana, Kinsey and many others over the years. If you have been too shy to try it, let that go and get in there you will be glad you did.

Genesis Health Club is Is the number “1 “health club in my view. I have been a member for 19 years, the trainers and staff treat me as I am the most important person there. You will find the pools are clean, the hours are terrific for working out after work, the price is reasonable, the locker rooms are clean and modernized- and I can go on and on about the benefits of being a member. I have great support from an experienced certified , knowledgeable, dedicated trainer. Carissa Palacios works closely with me and all her clients at what ever fitness level to help us achieve our health and fitness goals. Carissa informs me about all the other possible classes and activities at the club in addition to my training. You need to come see for yourself - there are no gimmicks, just honest commitment to you the member.

I love the classes at Genesis! The instructors will give you guidance on form and people of all fitness levels attend. It’s motivating to work out in groups and it’s all included in your membership. I travel around Kansas for work and they have gyms in several cities so I can still get a good workout when I’m out of town.

Awesome instructors and trainers (spin classes here are the best!!!) Not to mention that in nearly 20 years of membership, I have left and gone to the Y twice thinking I am saving 20 bucks or more per month and gaining more locations to work out, but I always end up coming back and rejoining Genesis because of the environment being so much more conducive to those who are truly interested in health and fitness as a lifestyle. The staff is also very friendly and makes you feel welcome and part of a family so you feel comfortable making working out a part of your daily routine.

It is different from other genesis. This one has educated trainers who are knowledgeable and care about their clients. It has a very welcoming atmosphere and no matter who you are you can go there and do what you joined the gym to do. Stay in good health or push your body. My trainer is josh! You should ask for him! He knows almost everything and tailors your training to what your goal is.

I have been going to the West Genesis for over 10 years and have always been happy with their accommodations and staff. The gym is clean and provides a variety of machines and classes. The group exercise classes are fun and challenging with very knowledgeable instructors. Yoga classes are very good and the instructors provide options to fit individual abilities.

Cheri brings a warm and welcoming vibe to Genesis West Central. She is supportive and encouraging no matter what fitness level you bring to the gym. She makes you feel like you can do anything. Thank you Cheri!

I signed up for a 18 month gym membership with genesis. 4 months in I needed hip surgery and so I needed to cancel. They told me when I signed up to cancel a contract would cost $100, well today all of a sudden it cost $250. Horrible guest service, over priced, and all of their members pay different prices, another member was paying $20/month I was paying $57/month. Think twice before joining this gym... manager is very rude as well.Update: I did and got no response from the team 👇

Andrew Held and his team of trainers do a great job engaging club members in their personal fitness journey. Some gyms are only focused on signing up endless numbers of members with the hopes that they will pay dues and rarely frequent their establishments. Not Genesis! The training staff and fitness instructors work hard to engage members and help them achieve fitness goals... And keep them active and coming back! Even with this goal of maintaining high levels of utilization, I have never had to wait for a piece of equipment or fight for weights (unlike past experiences at other gyms.)

I have been working out at Genesis got 5 years now. I love the group fitness environment. You can make choices to work out alone or to join a group of like minded people. I love working out with my fit fam!!!!!!

I have been a member of Genesis on West Central going on 4yrs. I have never taken a group class until this month getting personal training from Joe. I still am continuing training with Joe and really enjoy it. He cuts me no slack and have definitely seen improvement in my fittess. The Fit+ class I have added with instructor, Brenda gives me a change of training styles. I can work as hard as I feel like using heavier weights or stronger bands streaching a little deeper. Brenda is motivating and stresses to work at your own pace. The class time passes so quickly and never boring.

I love my gym! They have the best group fitness classes in town! The instructors are highly motivating and encouraging. The equipment is top of the line! My only complaint is that the facilities sometimes need maintenance, or fixing, and that doesnt always happen in a timely manner, if ever.

We love the aquatic programs. Becky is just the best! Every one over there is really nice and helpful!

I have amazing workouts at Genesis because of the amount and variety of equipment to utilize for exercise combinations and sets and reps. Great atmosphere and cheerful staff. I enjoy how the gym area is organized and well maintained. Love it there.

Sighs... So, the facility is huge first and foremost. There are so many different things you could do BUT the customer service was what ruined it for me. I was looking for a gym to go to while Im here temporarily (contract job) and its literally down the road from me so I thought Id try the trial and see how the vibe was. I toured the facility and asked for a trial BUT not before I was hounded for how bad my body was. Like, I get it... not everyone as as fit as the trainers but dont make people feel bad for it. You HAVE to meet with a trainer before u work out (which someone may like) but not me. I have feeling hounded. The radio station was there and they were offering a trial 30 day so I asked if I could use that trial and they kinda just laughed and said no. (I asked for a 2wk pass &just never even walked back in) The guy who I spoke with tried to make it seem like he would work with me on the monthly contract thing but Ive been down this road before from a prior gym membership elsewhere and yeah no. After reading reviews, I can see why they felt the way they do and I stand behind them. They try to make it look like what theyre doing is tailored to you but they hand out these things like candy and get you stuck in it. It feels more of a sales vibe to be honest andIjust wanna to to the gym and be in my own zone when working out . Did I mentioned that they also hound u in calls?.. Sure, its accountability but dang guys. Im not even a member and I had to block their number.

I really like this gym. The option of child care is what made me choose Genesis. Very convenient for a mom with two little ones! I love the option of group classes and personal training. The staff is very friendly. My only complaints would be that the membership price is pretty steep and nobody pays the same price and maintenance of the equipment is lacking.

This is a great place to be Ive only been going for a little over a month now but thanks to Alyson and Deion im already down 20 pounds they helped me so much and now that i am doing training with Josh i know i will reach my goal weight and Im super excited for the road ahead and super motivated to reach my goal.

I have been going to Genesis for 3 yrs. I have some disabilities from brain cancer. Carissa is my trainer. She is awesome! She works me hard and motivates me. I love the people, trainers and other members. Everyone is so encouraging!

This club is phenomenal! Gabe is awesome, always ready to help out in anyway possible to make sure I’m on track with my goals. My personal trainer, Travis, is the best I’ve ever worked with. Every session feels like another success, pushing me further than I’ve thought I could go (and always gracefully dealing with my b.s). You can’t go wrong in joining this club!

I love the atmosphere here because its never super packed (at least when I typically go) and I never have to wait for a machine. Ive really liked yoga and look forward to trying the other classes as there is a variety of times and days to choose from. Ive also really enjoyed getting back into tennis with the coaches who have been awesome.

OR Where can you have a trainer who has rehabilitation training for injury, stroke, disabilities, etc? OR Where can you find a trainer that can train you in the water? OR Where can you find a trainer that brings Mental Motivation matched with the LATEST techniques? RESULTS based training is definitely Genesiss answer!

They will not give up on you not wanting to join! Initially I should have stuck with my instinct and just blocked their number. I got plenty of calls after I asked them to please not call me anymore.. like a no call list. Finally one of the managers called and asked me to come in. He was very apologetic, and said he had a great deal for me. I go in, and everyone was very nice. Then he convinced me to sign a 6 month contract. Point of matter is the gym sucks, it’s not family friendly, and they double dip bank accounts. If you do sign up use caution when doing “auto draft” from bank account. They will take out more than the contract amount., or at least they have with me. When I call to speak with billing they are super rude, and only care about cash cash cash like a pit bull. I will never ever do business with this company again. Nor will I ever refer people again. I work in healthcare, and many people I associate with have options of joining with their insurance. Like I said, no more referrals. Should have listened to all of the other reviews!!

There is a lot of positive people and services at this gym. The class leaders are really good. The pool area could use a good detail cleaning and warmer water for the therapy pool. Especially on Mondays. The added special yearly fee should pay for cleanup.

Genesis West offers several options for fitness, so you dont get stuck in a rut of doing the same things. Trainer Dallas Guinn has been great in setting up a training and nutrition plan. Classes are high quality and staff are welcoming.

I am an athlete and I still get nasty looks from clientele here. Front desk is not very welcoming. They always seem preoccupied. Facilities need some serious updating and building management. Ceiling tiles are stained from leaks and machine sit way too close together. Personal trainers are kind, but need more freedom in their design. Families are not welcomed as there is no place for kids older than 7 to be comfortable or work out. High amounts of revenue come from families! Sales tactics are the worst! Even though Chris is a great guy, the company pushes so hard for their sales that people do not feel its an organic decision which directly makes a negative impact. Do the research; Pushy sales and locking people into contracts is not the most revenue producing for this industry! Hire some innovative and educated management to increase revenue exponentially with a team model. Genesis could be great with some attention! Go deep, not lean.

Club is nice and the staff below management are good. As for the rest I would you suggest you look at every poor review on yelp, google etc and believe them. This companys business practices are despicable. When you join it is high pressure sales. When you want to leave they do everything they can to make that difficult and to keep getting money from you for as long a possible. I called several times over several weeks and was told repeatedly that a manager would call me back. They did not for several weeks and then when I finally spoke to the manager he effectively told me I was a liar when I said that I had called over the previous 2 weeks. When I asked for contact details of the owner, his manager or a complaints dept he flat refused. Mine is not the worst experience Ive heard of ......but it was bad enough to make me believe all the others?Avoid this club .....there are plenty of other gyms around that actually care about people and will treat you as a real person.

This is not the main genesis that I go to because I dont live on the west side, but the pickup basketball and friendly staff has me going out of my way to be there. Just like the other Genesis facilities, up to date and maintained very well! Highly recommend checking out any of the facilities!

I love the operating hours. The equipment is in excellent condition. I love all the options of equipment to use. I like the womens room when I feel insecure and dont want to be seen by other people. The staff is always available to help.

They come off as super nice and helpful. I was new to the area and didn’t know much about the company so I went to tour the facility with Derick. At the end we sat down and discussed membership options and I decided that a year membership would be good for me. Long story short, I called because I wanted to know about a charge I had gotten, only to find out that Derick signed me up for a 3 year contract! I know I specifically asked for a one year contract because I didn’t plan on living in Wichita longer than a year.People warned me after the fact that genius will screw people over into singing contracts they didn’t ask for! And when I called to have it fixed, they wouldn’t help me or even return my phones calls so I could know my options.You shouldn’t lie to people just to make a sale! Because they get paid for the number of people they get to sign up! I’m very upset! DO NOT JOIN THIS GYM! And if you do... don’t trust that they are having you sign what you agreed upon because they are liers!! Well, Derrick (or Chris, that’s what he goes by now I guess) is a lier.

Chlorine level in the pool is definitely way to high. Scalp was really itchy when I got out. Other than that good gym

My massage therapist Gina is so amazingly good, just from a few comments on my everyday activities she was able to define, and specifically tackle each point of extreme pain my back and deap tissue issues in my legs and neck. I trust her whole heartedly with preserving and prolonging my feel good days. Two huge thumbs up with 5 star recommendations
