Not a large place, but it’s never overcrowded. Staff is friendly as well and the place is always clean.

This is a smaller location but a good location. I did a couple training session with a personal trainer who was knowledgeable and helped teach me specifics on how to strengthen my lower back.

Very cold....hahaha. this is a very nice facility. Two skating rinks, a gym, and a bar that serves adult beverages as well a workout drinks. It has two BIRTHDAY rooms for parties and a Pro shop thar carrys and assortment of skates, and all the hockey gears. Plenty of parking on the south side of building as well as a south entrance.

Great place to take the kids, with a concession stand and rental skates available. I will say, make sure you wear thick socks if you rent skates! 😊

The staff was very helpful, thoughtful, and cheerful. A super fun afternoon for our group of 11 people ages 6 to 42! We want to return like tomorrow but we live in Florida so it will probably have to be next year 😊

This would be such an amenity for Wichita if it was better maintained. It was fun/affordable but, bring your own skates. The rental skates are in terrible condition and were hurting almost everyone in our party. The door leading out onto the ice would only open halfway making it difficult for skaters to enter/exit.

Nice facility. Kid friendly. Fun and entertaining. Staff is iffy. Customer service is everything and staff could be better. Specifically the cool dude in the fluorescent green STAFF jacket on the ice. Rude to kids, peers and adults unless you are in the “cool dude” club that he obviously is the president of. Good luck with your big boy job one of these days.

My daughter participates in the learn to skate program and loves all the instructors! The classes are small so each child gets some one on one time and the instructors are so encouraging. A great indoor activity for all skill levels (never been on the ice to advanced) and ages (3-99+), all year round!

I love the Ice Center Genesis. I workout with a great trainer (Josh) and the members are friendly.

This is a great place to have fun skating with friends, a date, or even just by yourself. They play pretty good music during public skate, and the rental skates dont hurt your feet too much of You wear thick socks and get the right size. You probably wont get judged too much of youre just learning to skate too, so go give it a shot!

Great place to go and get gains

We went for the public skating lessons and were impressed. The staff was kind and enthusiastic to help. I went for the kids, but ended up enjoying it myself. Watch out for the rental skates theyre pretty uncomfortable for people with low arches. Ill be looking for an inexpensive pair of skates so I can go back soon! Everyone wanted to go back the next day, but it can be a bit pricey for the whole family, but we will definitely plan a trip in the future!

Only place to skate, and get to see Thunder practice!

We just had a great birthday party for our 8yr old daughter (late December). We were very pleased. Sean had everything organized & ready to roll. The staff was very friendly & the party girls all had a GREAT time. The party was so easy that I got to enjoy it too. Thanks!

The facility itself is pretty decent. They even have later public skating times Ive found out. My biggest gripe though is how awful the rental skates are. These things are so beat up and so uncomfortable to wear that it makes skating quite difficult.I wanted to test out ice skating in comparison to inline skates that I have, and since it was so difficult with these skates Ive no idea what the comparison to a great ice skate would be. However, Im sure kids would enjoy skating more since they most likely arent doing it for sport.

Great place to skate with family, people are friendly as well as the employees and overall it is a great place to ice skate. Cant wait to return. Ohh and the have awesome popcorn!

Cozy space compared to other locations, but it still has everything I need! Traffic is usually pretty low so its never too busy, and help is never too far.

I enjoy going to Wichita ICE so much that I bought a new pair of ice skates for my birthday this year!Wichita ICE regularly offers Public Skate and on Tuesdays the admission is a mere $2.This is a great place for date night, a place for friends to meet, or for you to practice your skills on your own.

Its a fun activity for a reasonable price. It would ve great if they had like a quick training session or something like that. If you dont know how to skate on ice (like me) first time can be so scary

Great staff that takes a personal interest in YOU and your progress. Love checking in and seeing my staff. The trainers are always checking on me if nothing else but to see how Im doing. Always able to get my workouts in quickly because we dont have to wait on any equipment! Love Genesis!

Extremely friendly staff! Great atmosphere! OUTSTANDING gym with great trainers. They keep track of your progress very closely and keep updating the workOUT routine for maximum impact. The trainers are helpful and motivate you to do your best. They discuss and resolve any problems being faced by you and educate you regarding the various workouts they recommend according to your body and objectives.I have been continuing with them for over quite some time now and still am as motivated as the first day of visiting the gym. The best thing about them is that they make sure that you are getting results for your time and money.

Skates are a bit dull, but it is a nice place to go for being the only one most of the time. Enjoyed my time there.

Spent a few hours during open skate. Everyone had a blast. For 5 of us, we were able to skate for 3 hrs for about $40. Will do again for sure.

It was ok. Not good at ice skating. But my kids loved it. If you got children... go early... they have very few children assisted tools to help them. Its almost like a Walker for a ice skating rink. Be sure to get them if you have children to help.them skate.

Had a great time, the price was great. The kids (a girl and a boy) working the snack/skate rental area were loudly saying bit** and fuc* repetitively to each other which I found very unprofessional, I had my 4 year old with me, and we were sitting by the lockers across the room and could clearly hear it. Wont deter me from coming, but swearing on the clock in front of customers is not cool.

Review of lessons - I have 3 kids in 3 lessons. Overall things are disorganized. Youd think after years and hundreds of sessions things would run a little more smoothly. These sessions are pricy and sometimes my kid doesnt actually start skating until 5-10 min after. In a 30 min lesson thats a lot of time not learning & not skating. Snowplow Sam 1 for preschoolers is good. My 3 year old is skating the whole time chasing bubbles and picking up bean bags. He has fun and is never standing on the wall. Beginner 1 is hit and miss. Hallie is an amazing instructor! She has the kids skating a lot, always learning new skills and practicing old ones. Megan is awful. My daughter stands on the wall in an enormous class at least 50% of the time while Megan does who knows what. She has no control and my daughter has improved very little. What a waste of money!

2 nice and big ice skating rinks. Very busy every time Ive gone. Fun activity to do no matter the season. Little pricey just to skate, but if you skate long enough it will make up for it.

Great place to skate. Plenty of people on the rink. You need to be mindful so you dont run into others.

The trees were decorated so pretty. We took the kids from life skills there and they had a blast.

My wife and I had a great time. It wasnt to crowded and everyone was being polite. However, my 3yo thought it was too cold and didnt like it.

Weve always enjoyed spending time at the rink. Weve taken lessons and enjoyed the free skate sessions. Today we had my sons birthday at the rink and everything was perfect. We look forward to our next visit.

Not well kept. Smells like a locker room. Good side is the party room were super affordable in comparison to most any other place who offers a room pizza drink and entertainment. But its so run down I pray my kids never ask to go back because they love it.

The location is convenient and the building accommodates the equipment well. But the staff is the best part of Genesis Ice Center, helpful and friendly.

StAff is always very helpful here. The manager Chris always has answers to my questions and is very knowledgeable!

Had my grandsons bday here and I must say it was the best time ever. So much fun! The only bad thing about it was the skates kill your feet.

Im pretty generous with stars normally. Wichita Ice Center is by far the worst skating place I have ever been. First off, the welcoming is about as cold as the ice you are expected to skate on. Getting your skate rentals is quick and harmless for the most part but the skates themselves. Clearly old and beaten. There is zero, i mean ZERO padding in the soul at all. Because of thus, ever crack every bump every blade line carved in the ice is mercilously launched into your feet which probably wont be positions properly. You see their skates have an arch that is super high and every time Ive been its in some place on the foot that doesnt make sense. With three pairs of socks on, my feet were killing me 10 minutes into my hour I paid for. Highly disappointed.

Great place for families to have fun together. The skates need upgrading. Bring two, maybe even three pairs of socks.

The Ice Center is a smaller club but has everything you need to complete most any workout great location close to downtown and the staff are always amazing to visit with..... just one of the many amazing genesis locations here in Wichita!

The group classes are a great way to work out in a way that keeps your interest longer than a treadmill would. The instructors are encouraging and helpful. Personal trainers are available almost all of the time and will answer any questions you have!

My only comment is that the Yoga studio is often so hot. It would sure be nice if there were fans in there. I realize some people like Hot Yoga, but I Do Not. Thanks.

Im not sure what is happening to my health club. Ive tried to email about the rampant kid presence but have not received a response. Ive been a member since 1994 and feel like I deserve a phone call or email. Im simply trying to figure out if kids are now allowed at the gym or not. If its allowed then I should be able to bring my kids also. It also really confuses me that there is always 5 employees standing at front desk but cant get a simple response. Very frustrating. Just bad business.

The staff is so good they help my brother out and people say that the skates sock they showed go git there own they will not just give you the expense part of skates like bauer and ccm people will tare them up and you can pay for 200 dollar skates like my brother has they have skates you can skate on and be happy for being able to skate winy every i go it is so packet i have to cut people off

Im not a skater. But I do go here for kids birthday parties quite often.The facility is equipped with two rinks with one being a bit nicer than the other. There are bleachers as well as a second floor viewing area.There is a shop on the first floor where all manner of skating gear and clothing may be purchased.It is the practice facility for the local hockey team and the facility where hockey teams of all ages practice and play.Figure skating is also available as well as public skating times.Youd have to get ahold of them for pricing and schedules for various activities.

Had such a good time here. We practically had the place to ourselves! It was awesome, and the snacks are pretty cheap as well.

Havent ice skated but, family members love it. Love the services and the snacks there. Employees are the best.

I like the privacy of the place in comparison to other gyms like the YMCA or planet fitness. The staff is always smiling and friendly and always ask if we need help. horrace the manager is really cool and is always training and doing things with the public.

Love the games & Tuesdays our traditional family skate night.

I just joined this gym, and already laugh at the idea of going anywhere else! The manager did everything he could to accommodate my extremely tight budget. I cant wait to begin my weightloss journey.

I had never been Ive skating before, always thinking it was going to be too expensive, which is not true at all. I went with my daughter & 2 of her friends, the staff not so much helpful, but the more experienced skaters were very helpful to the girls

The skates we rented were garbage. The inserts were so wore out and hurt our feet so bad that me and my brother could not skate longer that 10 minutes. I am also confused as to why they want to pack everyone in that one ice rink when they have others that are untouched.

All of the Genesis locations are great, but this is a fun location to get in a quick workout while Im in a hurry. This location doesnt have some of the bells and whistles of the larger locations like a basketball court or pool, but they have all of the weight room and cardio equipment you would need. This location is never busy when I go, so I can get in, get my workout done, then get back out. It has a great view of the Wichita downtown area with large windows and Lawrence Dumont Stadium across the street.

Average gym as far as Wichita goes. Equipment is starting to get old in a couple locations. They need more maintenance and a good wipe down.Competitive price to the YMCA. But also less children than the YMCA.

EDIT - Jose from the corporate office was able to assist in the matter, im walking away from this experience with less frustration solely because of his help, however the other lady I talked to on the phone still was one of the worst parts of this experience.if you want to cancel your membership they will forgot to inform you that you need to show up in person to sign a 30 day cancellation notice.My old gym got bought out by them and when I talked to them in May i told them i didnt want to continue when my contract was done. not once was i told i had to come in and sign a piece of paper for a 30 day cancellation.they charged me the next month after the old contract was done and refuse to give a refund citing policy because they know they need to grab every dollar they possibly can from people who never wanted to use them as a gym in the first place.absolutely pathetic and I will ALWAYS refer people to any other gym before this money grabber.

US Marine trained and led high pressure sales! DO NOT go there unless you are prepared to be strong armed by high pressure sales!My daughter went to the club on a ten day free pass. On the first day she was led into the office to sign a contract for membership. She refused multiple times and said that she wanted to talk to her parents first. She is on a very limited fixed income and is a college student. She is a junior and will move out of the area in about a year when she graduates. They continued the pressure and claimed that she had ten days to change her mind and the contract would be void if she canceled it within the ten days. To escape the situation she relented and signed the contract with the understanding that she could cancel it.When she called within the ten days to cancel the contract she was informed that there was no such clause in the contract. In addition it was for 36 months! She did not agree to that long of a term, she said only 12 months, apparently they filled in those blanks after she signed the contract.I called the manager at the location, Joe Sanchez who claimed that he is a former US Marine and that he has very high integrity. When challenged about the facts he simply deflected to asking my daughter, and refused to take any responsibility for the actions of his staff. It is repugnant that he would use his background serving our country as a Marine to pressure young people into purchasing health club memberships that they cannot afford. It is offensive that he would hide behind the cover of the Marines and Integrity, one of their core values, to pressure people into buying memberships. In addition they lie about the terms of the contract, which my daughter did not even see until I requested a copy, to make a sale.

First time skating fell couple of times hurt a little but had alot of fun will definitely be back after I heal me and my wife both first time skating had a blast

Cool building design, open space, excellent rink. $2 public skate mon-thur cant be beat. Show up at the beginning of the skate session, when the ice is fresh and theres fewer people.

Small gym overall. Its nice because there are WAY less people here than the Y down the street. The size does limit the variety of lifting equipment, but there is a wide range of free weights and machines to use, as well as multiple cardio machines.The steam room is nice to have also. That said, it doesnt really work very well.... You have to be in there for fifteen minutes just break a sweat at times!

This place is the worst I have ever had to deal with. For the fifth time I have drive down from Salina after calling to confirm that there is any sort of open hockey that day only to arrive and be told that it was canceled even before I called and confirmed. I love hockey but dealing with these people made me realize that while in Ks I will not be playing hockey. Will not be returning hope you guys dont waster your money to come to this place.

Granddaughter had ice skating lessons today. She used to get skating lessons and then an extra half hour to practice skate. Now she just gets the lessons and no extra time. Same price as last year. Very expensive.

Would not recommend going here, dont trust these guys. This place is just a overpriced money grabbing gym. They will try to convince you to sign a contract. If you have an issue, they will blame you for signing the contract. No gym should cost 167 dollars a month. And they will not tell you that youre signing a contract. Instead they tell you to sign here and here. And they wont care if you can even afford to pay off the payment.

This place is awesome to go ice skating at! There are 2 rinks and admission is sometimes $4.00 a head. Bring your family and friends!
