I was very impressed with the care I was given! Valerie, Jo, Kelbi, and Nathan were all amazing and very kind. They answered any and all of my questions. I’m glad I chose to drive from the East side to the West side when having to check in at the ER!

Since urgent care clinics are only seeing people with appointments this facility is busier than expected. I visited at 5:30pm on 8/30/2021. The check in process was quick and simple. Masks are required and only the patient is allowed to wait in the waiting room. My wait was about an hour before moving to a curtained room. The recliner chair was very comfortable and I only waited about 10 minutes before a PA came in to assess my wounds. Nicole was very friendly, she answered my questions, and gave details of my treatment. The next step was registration which was done via video chat. The nurse brought in an iPad for the call and completion of the documents. The process was easy to follow and the rep answered my questions and walked me through signing documents. Since I needed stitches I was moved to a room with a bed. I waited a little longer in this room, it was about 20 minutes for the nurse to come back. I got a tetanus shot and pain med and then had to wait for Nicole to be available to stitch me up. I waited another 40 minutes to get stitches. By this time the pain med had kicked in and it was making me nauseous. Nicole gave me crackers to settle my stomach and ordered an anti-nausea med. The nurse brought the med and then 10 minutes later the discharge nurse brought my paperwork, cleaned my leg, put on a bandaid, gave me instructions for follow up and paperwork regarding my injuries. All of the staff was friendly through the entire process. Every nurse I interacted with was amazing and I wish I had remembered their names! My total check-in to discharge was 3 hours which isnt terrible for how busy they were. Thank you Wesley West ER staff for making me feel at ease and giving me a pleasant ER experience.

Posting from my husbands account but, I went to the ER yesterday for food poisoning while camping, was in & out in just a few hours & the ladies were amazing. My respect & courtesy filter is off when Im that sick & in pain, they took my rudeness in stride & humor. Got me back on my feet in a day so I could take care of my family. Im so thankful for them! Cannot say enough good words. Im so sorry for my rudeness. I feel awful for my behavior. -Kat Palmer

Anytime I have had to go or taken a family member, this ER is always couterious, and thorough. These professionals listen to the patient and know how to treat them.

Had to take my daughter in tonight for her first ever emergency visit. the nurse and doctor were beyond amazing with my 6 year old!

Dr. Bryon McNeil was awesome! He took the time to really listen to what was going on with me and to offer where to go next. As great as an experience a trip to the er can be!

I was having some post op complications and was seen here. Dr Ortiz was so friendly, and so were the nurses. They took excellent care of me, and I was very impressed with the care. Thank You.

I won’t come back here every again! The security guard told me since I can’t wear a mask I had to leave my 3 year old with my mom when my mom can’t check my daughter into the er! She my mom doesn’t have any guardianship by law she can’t check my daughter into the er! I told them why I can’t wear a mask and they turned us away due to me not being able to wear a mask due to COVID 19!

I recently went to this location with my 10 month old. The team that took care of her were Nathan, RN; Valerie, PA and Dr. Woolsey (I think thats his name). They were all very kind and took the time to explain things. I very much appreciate the care we received.

Hate to leave this review as Ive always had great care here before. Last Sunday i was transported to ER for brain zaps an antidepressant withdrawal symptom. While there i was given IM lorazepam, waited in room for uncertain amount of time, maybe an hour tops?? Then i was discharged, i was directed to exit i stumbled on my way out the door and thats it, nobody there to sign me out.... disbelief

My nurse Jessica was amazing and kind. Dr. Lentz was quick to get in to help me, he took time and was so compassionate and caring. There was no wait time to get back to a room, and they got me taken care of and dismissed in a short time which was great! Also the gentleman at the front desk who checked me in was friendly as well! Thank you for the wonderful care!

My mother was sent to this facility by her family dr for a chest xray due to a cough and being winded. She is fully vaccinated and the dr was not thinking covid-didnt even test her for it. While at your facility she needed to use the restroom, after being there for quite some time this would not be an abnormal need. She was at first DENIED the USE OF the RESTROOM due to her symptoms. She was forced to plead for the use of the restroom before she was finally ALLOWED to use it. Even prisoners are allowed to use the toilet.

I am happy I came here. I was here for a really long time but everyone who took care of me was amazing and kind hearted.

Advertise less than 10 minute waiting time, my wife sit there for an hour and a half with a broken swollen hand, called the emergency room asking for an explanation and got rudeness from the person answering the phone, how we cannot rely on the sign out front of the estimated time online ,the worst ER experience of my life

I checked in yesterday because I was ill with Covid. The front lady was kind of rude. I didn’t read my discharge paperwork until I got home. They failed to provide what medication was given to me in a discharge paper. It also says they tested me For Covid and the test has been sent to a reference lab. The problem is I was NEVER tested there.I called them today to get some answers and the lady that answered the phone said “Well you were given info about Covid.” I’m like given info and get tested are not the same! She responded, “I wasn’t there so I can’t answer that!” I Really?? She didn’t even try to help!Wesley usually are good to my family but I was disappointed this time.

Been here since 11am it’s currently 3:40pm and I’m still waiting and people that got here before us have already been called my baby has been crying for an hr....

Told me my condition would heal by itself over time. It hasnt and instead gotten much worse to the point where I would rather die than live with the symptoms. This facility may very well find its name in a suicide note soon.

I recently had the unfortunate luck to have to visit the ER. The Wesley staff was wonderful! Everyone treated me with kindness and sympathy. Not one person was rude even though it was 2 a.m. and 4 degrees outside. I had not ever been to the emergency room before, but I was impressed as to the top notch service that I received! Good job Wesley ER!! I was transferred to the Wesley hospital and again received such great care from the doctors, nurses and all the other unsung heroes that make up the inner workings of a hospital. I was so very thankful that I decided to go to the Wesley ER and Wesley hospital. Thank you!!!

Very Bad service ridiculous waiting time had my mother an elderly women wait 4 hours and has not been seen yet staff extremely rude did nothing for her when they clearly saw the extreme pain she had asked 4 times how much longer always answered with just one more person and then nothing at one point we had the girl at the desk tell me “It will take as long as it has to take” are you serious she’s an elderly women that needs to be seen as soon as possible but no instead they just sit here and watch her take this pain. Definitely needs alot of improvement.

I went to the er at 9 pm and Dr. ODonnell put 3 stitches in my lip. In 14 hours 2 of those stitches had come out and I was told I would have to pay for another er visit even though the doctor obviously didnt put the stitches in right!

Had a very pleasant experience here. Short wait time, check in was very brief, staff was VERY nice.

The staff went over and beyond what I had expected going into an Emergency Room in complete panic as to not knowing what was going on with me. The front desk gentlemen was so sincere and told me everything was going to be alright in the most nurturing voice. All the staff that interacted with me during my visit was so nice and so helpful. My girlfriend was seen very quickly and the staff was VERY friendly and efficient! If you need help I strongly encourage you to see them!

My son went there for a serious cut and sat waiting for over an hour. Someone looked at it but never cleaned it until it was time for stitches. Within 6 hours after leaving he was in serious pain and the wound had already become infected because it was not cleaned properly. He fought this infection for 3 weeks! Also after being treated by our family physician for the infection we found out it also wasnt stitched properly. Wont be back!

Had to take my aunt who is 92 yrs old, she needed me to take her. Got to the ER at 540a sat there until 9a finally got taken back, then sat there until 1220p. The customer service is poor, there waiting time is poor! They don’t give you any update, it seems as though we’re bothering them! I’m so glad that nothing was seriously wrong with my aunt or anyone else that was waiting there.

Doctor was just okay. Did not run scans as they normally would on my injury. I was hurried through and not checked on. Waited for a long time once taken back to the room. I’ve been here more times than ide like to admit as I have health issues. I was treated like royalty when I had BCBSKS covering 100%. When my Medicare kicked in, I could not keep that insurance and forced to use Medicare. Now when I see doctors, I’m treated like trash. Greed is ugly docs. Seriously... is anyone passionate about helping people anymore? Or does it only depend on my insurance on where I stand with you as far as priority and respect. I’m a person. Not a number.

I was at the emergency room a week ago, the so called doctor miss diagnosed my nephew. They asured me his ankle was not broken. IT WAS BROKEN IN THREE PLACES. Very unprofessional not caring for his health.

Care was top notch. I could not have asked for friendlier, more compassionate nurses and doctors.They even uncovered another serious issue that was not the reason for the visit. Billing issues have become a nightmare. Will try Via Christi next time, even though its farther away.

When I went to the ER on 13th. They gave me GREAT service. The day before I went to a different hospital clinic and they told me nothing was wrong with me other than the flu and that I needed to drink more water. They didn’t recommend any medication to help with the flu. They just handed me papers and practically hurried me out the door. At Wesley, they took the time to hear what was actually going on , they documented everything. They instantly started right in finding what the problem was. Come to find out. Wesley medical staff figured out I had two infections on top of the flu. They got me all the antibiotics I would need to recover, also recommended different things to try at home to recover as well. Not only did they help me, but they also made sure I was comfortable.

Lady at the front desk was super rude. I was not told there was only one person there able to do what I was needing until I waited with a sick baby for well over 30 minutes and I listened to the night security guard voice his opions on trump, the wall, who he liked, and how he didnt like certain security other guard. It was great cant wait to go back 😒

Went in for a very uncomfortable situation going on. The nurse sandy was so kind the moment she walked in the door. Followed by probably the most compassionate er dr I have ever met Dr. Lentz, they made me feel completely comfortable and safe with what was going on. They took their time to explain everything and made me feel like a human being. They didn’t rush me out and they cared about what was going on. Thank you for making such a hard painful time less stressful

Overall, excellent service was provided. The receptionist was rather bland and seemed like she really didnt care, perhaps she was having a bad day. With that aside, the rest of the visit was superior and the nurses and doctors were great.

Took my better half in for bronchitis, complicated by his COPD. They were all very polite and helpful. They do see patients in order of how serious their condition is. So to the post I see on here about it taking forever once you got back into the room, you may have been put off due to someone who is in need if care right that moment to save their life. I found the place to be exceptional great.

Although their hospitality was great they were not able to address my issue. If the rating was based on bedside manners they would get a 5 star. However Im basing it off of the care/solution for my injury. So If there was an option for 0 stars thats what they would get. Save yourself time and go elsewhere :)

Ok so it appears that something has changed here. The staff seem much nicer. Ive actually had someone call and follow up with my and my daughters appointments. Im not sure what did change but it is NOW a pleasant place to go. Thank you for trying to be a better place for patients to come.

Best ER experience we have had. Got in right away, everyone was extremely friendly, attentive, and informative. Great staff, I can tell they really care about what they do which is refreshing.

So far weve been here for over an hour and havent seen anyone, just been waiting in the room since they brought us back here. Even though what were here for will probably take them 5 minutes to assess. No reason why they shouldnt have came in here and got us out of the way yet knowing is not going to take long. Its really rather ridiculous how long is been taking to even get anyone in here to see my son.

Every time I go nothing is done to help with pain or dizziness. All they do is run the basic labs like urine. I feel no better then when I went In. I’m Basically paying out of pocket to say hello and bye to the doctor. I hate this place won’t come back. It’s not the 1st time.

I was helped immediately and the staff was great. Very attentive and knowledgeable. I would highly recommend this location.

I have been here several times, yesterday being the most recent but I have also brought my son a few times. EVERY time we are in and out quite quickly and ALWAYS treated so well. The nurse we have had several times, Brad I believe, is such a sweet and funny guy and ALWAYS makes us feel comfortable. I felt awful when I went in yesterday and just the small things like Dr Lentz assuring tone of voice, patting my leg and letting me know I was gonna be alright made all the difference. The nurses and the sono tech were all so sweet they could have been family the way I was treated. I will ALWAYS choose this place first if at all possible.When you go somewhere for immediate care you are usually not feeling well, and you want to be able to explain how you feel, I cannot count how many times I have felt not listened to or rushed by ER staff....that DOES NOT happen here.They truly care about their patients and they never act rushed like many doctors do, they listen to me while I explain and never cut me off, I am truly grateful for the place and have been for a few years now. Thank you to your staff for making bad situations just a little bit better

Friendly, professional staff; had my granddaughter and daughter seen by the most caring and compassionate doctors/nurses. Only place that didnt refuse to see us because we didnt have a way to pay.

We did get in right away and the staff was nice. My 20 month old daughter was running 104 tempature and had been running a fever since the day before. They said it was viral and sent us home, they did check her ears as she just had tubes put in and her urine, but what they didnt check was to see if she had the flu. My daughter suffered for 6 days with fevers and was around family members, even slept in the same bed with her twin brother, during this time. I finally took her to her family dr and she tested positive for the flu. It is so common this year and she is so young, why was that not checked?? I hope other family members do not get it.

If I could give a negative I would! I had to take my child to another hospital after this hospital said my son was ok and nothing showed up in his system here we are after having to go to st Teresa to be transferred and admitted to st Francis. Now my son is in pediatric intensive care being hooked up and monitored cause of his heart, what they found in his urine and on top of other things!!!! I will never go here ever again after them sending us home and not looking at the tests they did! Wesley on 13th did blood work and checked my son out, saying he was ok to go home! Here we are now going on the 3rd day being in the hospital due t o serious issues they said they tested for but they obviously did not!!!!! They act like they want to help you when in reality they only care about the money! No one should ever go here! They are disrespectful and dont care about anyone!

The nurses and the doctor handled everything very quick! I had horrible pain in my right side. I had been here before and it was horrible but this was the closest place. Thank heavens I had a phenomenal experience this time.

Went in with a fever and other viral symptoms, got right in but took forever.. Was told by the APRN that id be given a shot which would help with my fever and body ache AND prescriptions to go home but that was a lie. Waited and waited until the nurse came in to give me my discharge papers, i asked about the shot she said one was never ordered !! Grrr so angry that i have to be miserable still and go home with the fever !!! Ive never had a problem with Wesley until today. Definitly wont be back. Thanks for nothing !!!!!!!

The Staff was great the DR not so much started to remove my toe nail then said the he didnt have the right tools to finish so told me to see my DR and that was about it will never go there again

This is the best hospital Ive ever been to hands down Debbie and her crew got me in and out because I had to be at work at a certain time they did a quick easy and I love them so much I will definitely be returning

I took my daughter to Wesley ER last fall for a concussion/head injury and it was the worst decision I made! They didnt give her the proper tests (I later found out from other medical professionals), didnt properly diagnose her or give her proper care instructions which would have been costly had I not taken her somewhere else two days later when her condition worsened. I do not recommend Wesleys ER!!!

I have nothing but good to say about Wesley ER on 13th and Tyler. Over the years Ive had to take my special needs daughter in several times for respiratory issues due to asthma, bronchitis, even a bad pneumonia at one time which got bad very quickly even though I had her to the doctor three times that week. The staff there not only has made us feel welcome but have done everything needed to not only educate me but to treat my daughter so that she left feeling much better than when we arrived. I dont like to use the ER as a primary care doctor so only go when I feel like there are no other options or its the middle of the night and she must be seen. However once I did take her into a walk-in clinic and they wouldnt even see her they just told me to take her straight to the ER, so I have to say that when my daughter needs respiratory care I really feel like the ER is the only place that can give her the breathing treatments etc. that she needs. I do however have a wonderful primary care doctor thatcan do x-rays and prescribe meds if needed. I am so thankful that the Wesley West 13th ER is there and I hope they always will be. They are a blessing!

I went for the first time yesterday. Everyone from the receptionists to the lady doing my CT scan was very cordial and compent. Amanda my nurse, was very caring and fully explained what she was doing, she told me what each medicine was for as I took it. Dr Ott listened to the explanation of my illness and told me what he wanted to do. When I left I felt a lot better than when I arrived. Dr. Ott even said I looked better. Thank you Westley for having an emergency center on the West side. The service was quick and efficent.

Dont go in if you have a service dog, you will be harassed and not even treated. I took my son in, after they decided that they would let me in, they rushed us through and didnt even answer what could be wrong or what to do. So if your disabled go else where!

I would like to explain my experience at the ER last night with my 2 year old daughter. 2/25/15 around 8:30 pm. At first everything seemed fine, we were seen by the doctor and was given medication for my little one. An antibiotic to get rid of an infection, the doctor said he would write up the script and we would be on our way. The nurse then proceeds in with everything informing me not to give my child the medication they prescribed her, she basically bashes the doctor saying he was new to their branch and that all they do was prescribe amoxicillin to keep the parents happy. I then looked at her confused and she went on and on about how my child can become immune to the medication and it wont work on her ( she has never taken anything before, shes 2 years) and that when she was sick in the future it would cost me 100s of dollars to get her cured. She would not test my child for the flu or for rsv. The nurse the asked me Why would you want to put your child through that.? I replied, I do have another child and would like to make sure I know what is going on with the health of my 2 year old so I could try to prevent my other child from getting sick as well. Then she also informed me my child wasnt old enough to get diagnosed for strep throat, which is what the doctor has diagnosed her with was strep and an upper respiratory infection. This lady should not even be working for the hospital, her attitude and the way she treated me left me very displeased and I will not be returning with either of my children in the future.

I went in a couple nights ago, over lower back pain an abonimal pain. The first nurse that came in was eExtremely rude her response to everything i said was mkeaaaa in an really rude snotty way. I told them i had been having back pain ever since i had my daughter 3 months ago, an that i was constantly taking pain aids an i couldnt get my pain level to go down, the nurse treated me like I was making everything up. The nurse walked out the the room but left my door open so i could hear her talking to the other nurses. They were all talking about me. The nurse who came in first went out to wjete all the other nurses were an was like shes here for lower back and abdominal pain but she walked in just fine but she supposedly is in alot of pain an has been for a while another nurse responded an said yeah supposedly . They never once took their time to hear what i had to say or let me explain what had been going on. They left me in a room for two hours not once came in to check on me. A nurse finally came in an said where gonna go ahead an let you go precribed me pain pills WHICH I DID NOT ASK FOR. I asked for an anti-inflammatory. I asked them to help me figure out what was wrong. They refused too. An they when out of their way to make me feel uncomfortable. They treated me like i was an drug addict which i am not i am an 20 year old single mom of two who has been in pain ever since my epidural. I will NEVER go back there again. They should of never been aloud to treat me like that an they definitely should of never been aloud to talk about me to where i can hear them. They hurt my feelings, treating me like i was lower than them.

The P.A at Wesley west this evening, tracy accused my father and brother in law of creating a letter from Dr stangl. This is grounds for a lawsuit and we will be contacting an attorney Monday morning. Just because you are a P.A. you cannot go around and accuse people of creating a fake email and calling them liars, especially when my father and dr stangl have gone back and forth for months about my husband. So this care plan letter is very much legit, not a fake. We have also contacted the news stations and will be meeting with them about a story.

Took my girl friend for shoulder pain everyone that worked there was very rude !!! The doctor barley looked at her shoulder he was a arabian jerk!!!she has had the pain for 3 weeks we told him we tried all of the over counter meds heat pads . and after he took a X-ray that wasnt needed he said just keep taking the over counter meds I asked if there was a stronger TYLENOL he said no I dont prescribe narcotics for shoulder pain and neither my girlfriend or I ever said anything about narco. Left there came to via christi and got amazing fast service friendly,caring doctor and stronger medication that she needs

Me and my girlfriend went in, she had stomach pain. Found out shes pregnant got a sono. They said its irregular pregnancy and they dont know why. Doctor was very rude. At one point my girlfriend asked what was irregular about it, he said it doesnt mean much to him. Couldnt give us any answers. Very rude people we will never go back. If you think youre pregnant go to via christi or actual wesley hospital. This place was bullshit .

I was hear with my mom and I walked past an empty room and there was a nurse standing there vaping! I stopped and looked at her and her face got red and she said hi how are you and walked away!

I called asking about a serious health question and billing and she said no one hear can answer that and said she is disconnecting the line and hung up.

Ok but they did not take the time to find out the cause a simple infection. Bet they will grossly over charge me for doing nothing and treating me like scum

Every time I have to bring my child here, the nurses are rude and act like I shouldve driven all the way across town to the other hospital. What the heck? Um, my child couldnt breathe and you expect me to drive across town? The time before they were rude because I brought him in because he was screaming that his abdomen hurt, .. his intestines were impacted....Both of these visits were after Dr office and minor emergency hours.
