Had an 11:30 appointment. Was asked to arrive at least 15 minutes before that. Arrived at approximately 11:05. Waited over an hour in waiting room, then at approximately 12:15 was taken to an exam room. At 1 pm doctor still did not come in. By that time I was in extreme pain and was frustrated and angry. Requested my MRI disk and left. Its obvious they double or, possibly, triple book patients. I dont want to be treated by a doctor who has no respect for his patients. It seems the bottom line with this doctor/practice is the almighty dollar.

Dr. Weimer was very dismissive about my issues. Pretty much made me feel like he thought I was making up my pain, because it didn’t match up with his ideals of what atypical symptoms should be. I left feeling insulted and depressed. A year later I found a wonderful surgeon who diagnosed me with a rare problem called “Thoracic outlet syndrome.” I had a surgery, and I’m on the road to recovery.Overall, my beliefs is that Dr. Weimer lacks bedside manner, empathy and he stares at his computer the entire time he is in the room. I wouldn’t ever refer anyone to him. Sadly, I feel like doctors start out with every intention to be a kind, caring doctor, but over the years some turn cold. He really needs to be reminded that his patients aren’t just another number, and to put himself in our shoes. All we want is compassionate treatment. Thank you to the other staff for being kind, and the facility was clean.

Dr. Weimar and his staff kept my mom waiting for over an hour alone in a small exam room with nobody checking in on her or offering a reason for his delay. She arrived to the office and was checked in 15 minutes prior to the appointment, was taken to an exam room and received the basic physical/tests by a nurse on time, and then sat in a small exam room for nearly 2 hours before I told her to leave. She went to the front desk, got her MRI CD and left without anyone attempting to get a nurse or a doctor to give her the care she needed. One would think bedside manner or patient care would be top of the list for Dr. Weimar and staff, but that doesn’t seem to be the case. We won’t be sending any family to Dr. Weimar and suggest all other patients look through the reviews and check for other options instead.

I took my mom to get a second opinion from this “doctor” and it was a total waste of time. After all the paper was filled out at home and at the time of the visit, we waited over an hour in the lobby and another hour plus in the room. Then he finally has time to stop by, we see him for maybe 10-15 mins. Suggest surgery explains everything very fast and careless about the whole matter. Again a waste of time for my mom and I. We will definitely not go to that office ever again to see any of those “doctors”.

If I could give this man a zero I would. I never felt so small and insignificant in my life. I cant say if he is a bad doctor. He may be a great surgeon. But I would never recommend him after he treated me so badly.

This man has done two back surgeries on me including one on my father for conditions regarding herniated discs. This doctor is conservative with surgery promoting injections, various therapies, and weight loss. His office, much like his partners, is usually busy and a long wait is anticipated. The wait is worth the results if you truly need whatever neuro surgery Dr. Weimar suggests. This physician is of the highest quality and I not only prefer, but recommend Dr. Weimar and his staff for ANY disorder that falls under his scope of practice. He has both demonstrated kindness and humility both before and after surgery. Yes, he may appear to be in a hurry during exams, but is more than willing to answer ALL questions. Highly recommend not only Dr. Weimar and his PA but all other staff at Abay Neuroscience Center.

My mother suffered dementia from fluid on the brain. The successful treatment helped her feet shuffle greatly and her dementia some.

I was referred to Dr. Weimar due to multiple bulging and herniated discs, stenosis and mild facet disease. Once he was in the room, he didnt do any exam but a short cursory look of MRI and immediately referred me to another doctor in his group to undergo facet injections. It didnt matter when I told him that I had been receiving injections for several years, prior to seeing him. He was in and out in less than 10 minutes. So, I went to see the doctor and had 6 facet injections (twice) in my thoracic spine and 6 facet injections in my lumbar spine. When I had the first round of injections, they were excruciating and I was crying like a baby. The pain was worse than when I was in labor for more than 48 hours. I thought the injections had worked when I woke up the next am without pain. I was able to get up and do laundry, clean house and even mow our property. The pain came back by day 3. Even though it was so painful, I was still ready to go back and get another 3 days of relief. When I went back for the next round of injections, they didnt hurt like the first round and the pain came back as soon as the numbing agent wore off. Im not sure what she did differently in round 1 of the injections and if she knew she didnt say. When the injections failed to provide relief, she wanted to do RFA (radiofrequency ablation). I had the RFA performed twice, in the same areas as the injections. Even with burning the nerves, I had absolutely no pain relief.Shortly after I completed the last round of ablation, I learned I had breast cancer, but the female doctor still wanted me to come back and start injections again. I told her no, that I gave her 1 year to help me and the injections and RFA didnt work. Now the cancer surgery and treatment would came first. It was shortly after that phone call that I learned she had not used any form of nonsteroidal medicine in her injections - only numbing med.
