Highly recommend this facility. The staff is great and I was always informed with what was going on with my child.

KVC does a wonderful job helping families get through crisis. They helped equip our son with the tools he needs to manage his thoughts and moods in the future. Im so thankful we had such a wonderful place for him to go with people that truly care.

I’m very pleased with KVC and my sons stay, they were able to help cope with behaviors as well as get his medications adjusted accordingly.

As a foster parent to a high-level need child, KVC Hospital is a blessing. They are responsive, courteous, efficient, and make children feel relaxed and cared for in a traumatized situation. I highly recommend their services.

The people at KVC- from the receptionists who greet you, to the nurses and physicians on staff, are wonderful and very helpful. They helped my son regulate his behavior and stabilize his medicines.

My mom has been a foster parent for several years. She utilizes this facility for her foster children when they are dealing with PTSD and other trauma from their upbringing. KVC is always able to stabilize them and provide them with dynamic and supportive care. This is an amazing facility with incredible staff.

Our family fostered a kid coming out of KVC Wichita for a short period of time and he was able to cope and handle himself better with different situations as well as using his communication skills positively.

It’s a good mental hospital , but you can’t wear tampons. they refused to give me tampons last time i went cause i can not wear pads. that is why i do not want to have to go back , i cant wear pads. i would rather them watch me everytime i use the bathroom they watch me insert and take the tampons out.

In being a foster care/adoption case manager with a contracted agency in KS I am amazed with all at KVC when one of my kiddos was admitted twice in a 12 day time period. The care, and communication from admitting, nurses, psychiatrist, social workers, and others has been nothing short of perfection. I realize whether a parent, case manager, foster parent, or otherwise no one wants their child to need psychiatric care. BUT if it is needed this is where you want to be when within the Wichita area! Very appreciated!

A much needed and great addition to the Wichita community serving Kids from all over the state. Professional staff and caregivers. Professionalism and great collaboration with community partners, professionals and families.

I was recently there , staff were amazing except for i do have to say dayna wasn’t the best. everyone else was fantastic! skills we learned were great. food wasn’t the best , but i do understand it is a contract. thank you so much kvc staff.

Loved this place good people, good services, and engaging activities.they actually tell you what medications youre on and what it does. they dont draw your blood at 3am. they seperate you based off of how you act which helps a lot and they have oreos =D. tho yellow is kinda loud I highly suggest this place. tell kyle I said hi. :)

Kvc causes more trauma than it fixes. I was held down by three staff members while having a panic attack and had medication forced Into my body. When I asked what the medication was, they refused to tell me. I still have nightmares every night from that awful place.there were also three different covid cases and no masks were worn, and there was no hand sanitizer, little access to a bathroom to wash hands, and no social distancing. That place is a trauma inducing superspreader. Never send your kid there, they’ll never forgive you.

We took my son to this place. They didnt tell me the mistakes I made when I was younger was going to bar me from visiting my son. The also make these kids go outside with no coat or shoes only sock and whatever color of scrubs. Will never recommend this hell hole.

My 9 yr old G was in and out of KVC Wichita from July till Sept. I only saw him for 5 days in 2 months. It was hard but with the intense therapy he was ready to go to KVC Hays. He has been there for 2 weeks and was actually able to come home for a week and go back.... Still waiting on actual dismissal, but so far his treatments are going very well....I couldnt have done this without the KVC team.... Theyve brought my child back to me.... Thank you from the bottom of my heart!!!Mellen Quade

I work in child welfare and must say I am happy KVC is here in Wichita to serve the needs of our children! It makes my job easier for children to get their needs met and served quickly!!

I went there for a week(I was in green) and it was pretty good the staff were pretty nice the socks were comfy and the place was pretty safe you wouldnt really think it was a hospital if you didnt know it was. Yellow was kinda loud tho. Me and another patient at the hospital would joke about how they were collecting our spoons to build a new fence lol. Kinda gay too ngl but Im pan and not a jacka$$ so thats fine with me. Overall kvc is just a great place to go to and I even had some fun while honestly improving my mental state. Thank you.

Very good place for kids in need of help!

Had to put 1 star but its honestly -5 rating!! They currently have multiple covid cases and are still taking kids in and out of this facility and distributing kids in other peoples care, 1. Not testing them prior to leaving 2. Not letting the new care givers know about the covid exposure they just had!! Dishonesty is not cute and thats all this company is doing! Do not send any youths to them, nor accept any youth who has been with them!!

Wonderful place is all I can say!!

The wait is hours, its unbelievably ridiculous. Be prepared to wait!! You will wait in the lobby, then the back room, wait to speak with someone, then speak with someone else, wait again for God knows what, and then once your finally finished, wait again to leave! Its all day long when it shouldnt be that difficult. Very frustrating
