Dr. Shanti and her staff are the only reason Im sitting here feeding my beautiful 17 month old miracle. If youre looking for a mushy doctor, definitely look elsewhere. If you are looking for a doctor who will do everything in her power and knowledge to get you pregnant, look no further. Dr. Shanti is very straight forward, no games or run around and she gets results. Her staff is second to none as well.Ive read some of the negative reviews and Id like to address them. 1. Of course youre on her schedule. She needs to align cycles and appointments. IVF is hard work, on both sides. You have to be willing to do what it takes to get what you want in life. 2. No bedside manner - I promise you Dr. Shanti is an amazing doctor and person. She may come off as cold but once you commit to being her patient, she is incredible. I honestly cried at my graduation appointment because Id miss her.We love Dr. Shanti and shell forever have a special place in our lives.

Dr. Shanti is wonderful! She is thorough, knowledgeable and does everything she can to eliminate issues that may decrease your chances for successful IVF. Her team is also very friendly, knowledgeable and you can tell they love working for her which shows a lot!!Many people say she has no bedside manner but I personally disagree and I think it’s your spouses and/or family’s job to support you during this process. If she was emotionally connected to every patient she would never be able to do her job.

My husband and I welcomed a beautiful baby boy this August because of Dr. Shanti and her staff. We couldn’t be more grateful for everything she did for us.

If you are choosing between Aurora and Froedtert, I would definitely choose Aurora. My wife and I had experiences at both and the thoroughness we experienced at Aurora FAR surpasses that of Froedtert. All the reviews of Dr. Shantis bedside manner are true. I think its something she is actively working on. However, if at the end of the day you are looking to have a healthy baby, I wouldnt think twice about choosing Aurora over Froedtert. I will list key differences below.- Aurora mandates that each embryo go through genetic testing to ensure that it is a regular embryo. This comes at an additional cost but they simply wont transfer an embryo unless it has been tested and comes back as regular. By doing this, it greatly lowers the chance of a miscarriage. If you and your partner have ever gone through a miscarriage, this is much appreciated.- The financial department not only picks up the phone at Aurora, but they know answers to your questions. The right hand simply did not know what the left hand was doing at Froedtert on a number of levels.- Dr. Shantis attentiveness is unmatched. As intense as Dr. Shanti comes off in person, she takes that same intensity to all aspects of her job. Ill never forget when my wife called the nurse line one evening after hours with a question about the meds. The person who picked up said she would patch us through. My wife was shocked to have Dr. Shanti pick up the other end of the line! I wrote an email once to both of the Doctors at Froedtert and neither of them even acknowledged the email in person or wrote back.- The restrictions Dr. Shanti placed on my wife after transfer were far more in depth. If nothing else, this made us feel like wow - they are taking the success of this pregnancy very seriously. It also made us feel like, wow - why didnt they tell us not to do all those things at Froedtert? Our last transfer at Froedtert ended in a miscarriage.- Things as simple as the embryo transfer itself were treated like an actual procedure. Dr. Shanti came in wearing scrubs. The nurses had soothing music playing in the background. Both my wife and I were asked to wear scrubs. At Froedtert, everyone walked in wearing street clothes and it felt like a random office visit.- The medicine regimen for my wife was much more intense and definitely more clearly spelled out at Aurora. Again, it just seemed as though they were taking the success of our pregnancy much more seriously than at Froedtert. The bottom line is that if you are going to spend $20,000+ on something as emotionally taxing as IVF, if your choice is between Aurora and Froedtert, there is no choice as far as Im concerned. Dr. Shanti certainly can be a bit abrasive at times, the reviews are absolutely true. But, her resume, professionalism and thoroughness are unmatched. In my humble opinion, Milwaukee is lucky to have her.

I think Dr Shanti is very good at what she does. However her abrupt bed side manner is difficult to deal with when you are already tender emotionally. I did testing last year with Dr Shanti- When I got pregnant I called my obgyn. After two miscarriages my obgyn referred me back to Dr Shanti who said she would not take me as a patient because o had gone back to my obgyn. I had NO IDEA I was supposed to go through her if I got pregnant naturally. Now I have no doctor.

My husband and I met with Dr. Shanti in January of 2018 at the recommendation of my OBGYN, since we had been trying to conceive for almost two years with no success. We had already had some basic testing done before this and were feeling fairly optimistic, but still wanted to make an appointment with Fertility Services to discuss next steps.I think it’s worth mentioning that we were required to prepay for this initial consult, which was over $500. Quite a big chunk of change when we weren’t even having any testing done! After meeting with her nurse, Dr. Shanti came in to see us. Her introduction was brief, and without asking a single thing of either of us very bluntly stated that we only had one option for conceiving – IVF. She did not recommend any other medications or procedures that could potentially help with our issues. In her opinion, IVF was our only choice. A $20,000+ procedure. My husband and I were both in complete shock with this news, since my OBGYN had just told us that our odds were still good to get pregnant naturally. We sat there silent for a moment trying to absorb the bomb Dr. Shanti dropped on us, and all she could say was, “do you have any questions?”. I explained that neither my husband or I had really done any research into IVF and weren’t familiar with any aspects of the procedure, expecting her to lay it all out for us and fully explain the treatment process. Instead we got a very brief 20-second summation and were told she would send us home with some materials to read. Yep, you read that right. We just paid over $500 to have a doctor provide us literally zero info and some pamphlets.Since weren’t prepared to ask any specific questions and were still so overwhelmed by her diagnosis, we didn’t feel comfortable agreeing to any sort of course of treatment. With that, Dr. Shanti quickly exited the room and we met with the Financial Consultant who conversely was very kind and knowledgeable. In the end we spent more time with the Financial Consultant than we did with Dr. Shanti, who only felt it necessary to meet with us for about fifteen minutes. We had been waiting not-so-patiently for this appointment for over two months, hopeful that we would leave armed with lots of information and choices on how best to proceed on our fertility journey. Instead we left feeling hopeless and brokenhearted.I suppose I can only speak for myself, but when interacting with a Reproductive Endocrinologist or Infertility Specialist – someone who’s job is to help people grow their families – I would expect to be treated by someone who is warm, compassionate, and empathetic to patients and their individual situations. In my opinion Dr. Shanti did not possess any of these characteristics. She was rude, insensitive, and overall had a terrible bedside manner. I do not believe she had our best interests at heart, since our goal was to do something less-invasive. Had she taken the time to ask us what our objectives were she would have known this, but clearly that was not important to her.Since then we ended up switching healthcare providers entirely and have found a new doctor that we love and trust, but knowing that the less-than-helpful ordeal with Dr. Shanti delayed our fertility process by 5+ months is incredibly frustrating. Hopefully others can learn from our mistakes and will seek fertility assistance elsewhere.

Ive never personally had such an insensitive, rude doctor. My husband and I are struggling with several different health issues and are trying to make the best decisions for our family right now within what we can afford. Dr. Shanti made me feel guilty of the choices weve made so far, for instance wasting our money on 2 rounds of insemination rather than doing in-vitro although I told her we cant afford it right now. My health insurance will be changing in January and will not cover a lot of the medical costs we need anymore. Instead of sympathizing like a normal human being she made me feel guilty even though I had no way of knowing my work would be switching last minute to a different insurance company after 5 years of it staying the same. She said Obviously something is wrong with you since my husband and I have been trying to conceive for 10 months (only 3 of which ive been seeing a doctor for because Im so irregular). She said if everything was okay with me I would be pregnant by now. If that was the case, theres better ways to say it to a patient. I have had several invasive tests done and everything has turned out completely normal so far along with my husbands results so theres no reason to believe something is wrong. I went in there excited to get more help and discuss the options and left in tears. I will not be going back and I hope I can save someone a trip to see her by posting this review.UPDATE: Dr. Shanti and her 2 supervisors, Jennifer Strong and Christy Miller refuse to wave my fee after already telling me that they would for the way I was treated. Im devastated Im out $528 dollars because my husband needs a $750,000 a year treatment for Spinal Muscular Atrophy. Theyre heartless.

If you are a person on a fixed income that actually has insurance, this place is not for you. They do not work with you if you have previous debt. They are all about the money and not the person.
