I was so excited to have found a psychologist who was also more of a naturalist as well. Her values seemed to line up with mine. We had one call where I was inquiring about her services. On that call we discussed a payment of ~$1300 to which I provided my payment information. I was then charged ~$1700, which is $400 more than we discussed. I let that slide, figuring it was for an additional session.The day of our first meeting she needed to reschedule, like a few hours before. Ok, no biggie, life happens so I reschedule. This happens 3 more times over the next few weeks. So, a month after I made a $1700 payment ($1790 to be exact) I still hadn’t had my first meeting. I then started asking for refunds, first I asked for a $1300 refund, saying I would be willing to pay for the first session (Whenever we had it) and then I would pay for them one at a time after that. She did say I would get a refund…but that never happened. I followed up a few times and that is when I realized she ghosted me. Just completely stopped replying to my texts (her preferred communication method) or emails. I ended up having to go through my bank to get refunded the money – the full amount at this point.I really hate writing negative reviews but basically $1790 was stolen from me. That is so unethical. Save yourself the struggle and don’t work with her.

How dare you feel that you can walk up to person at their place of employment and tell them you know they are transitioning, hand them a business card, and think it is entirely okay to do so. It is up to a person -their self- to decide for -their self- if they wish to engage with you or not and/or whether a conversation goes towards a topic allowing for you to promote yourself and your business. Thats dangerous, unprofessional, and downright terrifying for the person being outed or receiving attention they may not wish to have. If this is the way you conduct your marketing and outreach I certainly would never suggest you for therapy.
