I was referred to this place by several people and I used to see them train on the Southside. Site says they are open till 830pm, called when open per site. Person answer the phone with hello and I had to ask if I am speaking to this company, she stated yes but we are closed call back later and hung up on me. No when and was rude. When I try to message them before I had to call. All other training places took their time in calling me or messaging me in a timely matter with info and help

Todd was a great trainer and super understanding. Had to surrender the dog due to a multitude of things 2 weeks into the training, but after talking about it with Todd he kindly refunded the classes I didn’t attend. Great service and very great people!

We absolutely love this place!! Our 10 month old lab is full of energy and can be so naughty (as puppies can be). Since taking Milo to Come, sit, stay & play , he has become so much better behaved. His social interaction with people and dogs has greatly improved. We both work and so having a place for Milo to go that we trust is just amazing! The stuff is friendly and helpful. I would recommend this place to anyone!!!

So glad we found this gem! After a year, and four trainers later we finally found Todd. He customizes each training depending on the behaviors of your pup. Many other trainers require fancy leashes, specific treats, etc. Not here! All you need is a leash and collar. Our Zelda is like a new dog now! Can’t wait to continue the progress here! Would recommend to any and everyone!

My pit bull started with puppy classes here when he was 3 months old. He continued with essentials and attends the day care twice a week. This place, Todd, Jolene and all the other staff are AWESOME! Anytime I take him out to the park, to the pet store, for walks, people ALWAYS comment on how well behaved he is. Both of my daughters have taken their dogs to be trained by Todd because of the results they have seen with mine. I HIGHLY recommend Come Sit Stay Play!

LOVED the essentials class. Todd was an amazing teacher, and provided several different ways to reinforce behaviors. We learned so much more than essentials in this class! I will be forever grateful to Todd, as he helped rein in my wild Dachshund/Beagle baby.

We took our dog here for training and were very satisfied. Praise based training (because who has cookies on them at all times) and expectations were appropriate. We were assigned homework to do every night and practice in places with distractions. If you are willing to commit to the time investment for training, you will see great results. Todd was always willing to demonstrate the lessons again and answer questions.

Took our German Shepherd puppy here for training and we were more than happy. Hes almost 3 now and not only do we still use the same techniques, but we are always getting complimented on how well behaved he is. He has also been going to daycare there since he was puppy and we all love the fact that he is never crated and is getting constant socialization with other dogs. Todd is an awesome trainer and we love this place!

My Great Dane started as a puppy with Todd and staff. She is now 7 1/2. She is polite, sweet, and attentive. We started with a prong collar for training, now we never use it. Ive started taking my Beagle to day care as well. Ive noticed he is much better with sitting, waiting, and I can move him from house to car with less fear of him taking off. Both of my furbabies are happy and excited for daycare days. When the Dane went to puppy class, we used nothing but positive experiences. We never used force or any negative tactics for training. I find it very hard to believe anything to the contrary. I would recommend this place to anyone, and I have!

The most wonderful trainers we have ever used. Been to many places over the years, but Todds methods are the best we have ever been taught. Our dogs have learned obedience with only praise and they have gone on to become super therapy dogs. We had a dog (that we trained somewhere else) with treats and she wouldnt do anything unless you had a treat in your hand. Come sit stay & play is awesome.

They teach dominance theory, encourage prong collars, and use outdated, archaic methods of quick fixes and punishment to force your dog to obey. Science and research has proven that positive reinforcement is the most humane and effective way to create a bond with your dog and teach good behavior. There are also way too many dogs in the class. Find a positive, humane trainer. Please do not take your dog here. Search for and go to a trainer that uses minimally invasive, research-based, positive reinforcement, humane training methods.

Todd and his staff are amazing. I have two rescue dogs, and they are both much happier and well behaved since taking a class here. The classes are based on quick correction and positive reinforcement, which is really effective!

Todd is incredible with the dogs and we learned more in the first session than in an entire 8-week course at a different facility. I must admit that I was skeptical of my dogs ability to follow commands without treats as a reward, but WOW did it work! And not having to have treats handy in order to do training meant we could do some work at any time and in any situation. We have a very energetic boxer that now walks nicely on a leash, follows commands when asked, and it really helped build a stronger connection between us. Todds use of distractions during commands is genius!! I will take any dog I ever need to train to this place as long as he is there!!!

I recently inherited a rescue dog from a friend who passed unexpectedly. I I went to Todd Thurber s class to break some bad habits that my dog had picked up. The first week I saw a noticeable difference in my girl. I could not give a higher recommendation! Todd works with many of the so called difficult breeds with expertise!

Come, Sit, Stay, Play, Dog-u-center is an amazing training facility staffed with equally amazing people. Todd & Jolene Thurber have created a clean and organized environment which has allowed my pup to thrive. It is operated with confidence in their knowledge, passion and discipline.TRAINING: Earlier this year I was enrolled in the competitively priced essentials class. I was completely satisfied. The result-orientated class was filled with tips and techniques’ taught interactively. Talking points were limited, so not to take away from the hands on approach that was used. At the end of the 11 week course my pup had a solid, consistent response to all the commands taught. This gave me the confidence in knowing that I had control of my dog’s behavior and, in turn, allowed me to welcome another companion into my life. There was no question I would be returning for training.I would recommend this course to any dog owner regardless of your own knowledge and experience because it is a great motivator. Accountable for the progressive, weekly homework assignments, to include daily at-home exercises you do with your companion, and out-of-class socialization, owners and their companions can only fail themselves.DAYCARE: My pup also goes to daycare. I have to admit that at first, the thought of my precious pup in a room full of varied breeds, big and small, frightened me to pieces. It did not take long for me to be completely comfortable with leaving her there. The staff/trainers are true professionals and I continue to be impressed with the individual work they do with each dog and the dedication displayed. I look forward to picking her up and the end of the day and seeing their board with brief descriptions of the work they did. Cliché… but they really go the extra mile. I absolutely love it and am a satisfied customer.

We have been training here for years. We love that there is no pez dispenser training going on here. My five dogs have all learned rocket recalls, which are potetially life saving for emergency situations. We love that are dogs know and are rewarded with love every time they get it right, but we also love that we can tell them when they get it wrong. The cookie trainers we have been to prefer you dont say anything when your dog is wrong. The all positive trainers in our rescue all, and I do mean all, of their personal dogs are on medication for anxiety, because they dont know what their owners want.I know people whose one year old dog wont sit unless there is a cookie involved-- the owner is the one whose trained--not the dog. Ive also known owners whose dogs wont come unless there is a treat involved-- this is just dangerous. This is how dogs get hit by cars.Being able to lay my hands on my dogs body has been an important tool for both my dog and myself. Anyone can handle any of my dogs including the vet or the groomer. I take five dogs to the vet at once, by myself. Something that would be impossible if not for Todd and his training methods. Im also comfortable doing things to my dogs most arent, like cutting ripped dew claws etc. because I know my dogs trust me and I wont hurt them, after all, Ive placed them in many a sits and it didnt hurt. All positive training has its place but not for stubborn dogs, and not for biters of dogs or people. People with these dogs can attempt all positive training, but chances are the only one you are hurting is yourself (when you get bit) but mostly your dog when it gets euthanized for aggression.I think your one star review is sour grapes.

22 dogs in one training class was a bit much. Many of them aggressive as they have not yet been trained, that is why they were there, I guess. This place came highly recommended, but due to the disorganized and chaotic nature of the class, we forfeited our $200 fee and never went back after one class. Way too stressful for dogs and people alike.

Our dog was enrolled in the owners class... our dog would jump at him because he was aggressive and didn’t like males as much (that’s why we were there). The owner literally told my girlfriend “that is bad” and would walk away and talk to others in the class. Like what? We wasted money for you to tell us what is bad, like we didn’t already know? The correct answer would of been, “that is bad, this is how you should correct it...” He did the same thing and had the same answer with every bad habit my puppy had... Waste of money and time. Thanks to YouTube and another trainer our dog is coming along at 1 year of age!
