We hired Brotherton law firm for a legal proceeding in family court. His staff was on top of the required paperwork and he made sure court dates and times fit our schedule. Justin Brotherton was working with my ex instead of with me. He’s a horrible lawyer in family court. He kept telling me what I wanted wouldn’t work because “he knows the judge”. So I went back to my public defender and I got everything I wanted. No only does he charge TOO much but he’s always with the dads. He believes that the dads should get everything. I’m a mom and the father wanted nothing to do with his child never saw him nothing and yet Brotherton still sided with him. He was always in his phone during the hearings and didn’t care what was being said.

I mean we still had to pay his ex wife money for child support but we are very happy with The amount the money we had to pay her end of the court! Great result! Nice atmosphere, no drama. Can get crowded at times, but the music is cool and its a nice little spot in Watertown if you just want to get out and socialize.

I paid for a consultation for information that I could have obtained by googling which were forms. However, bc of the circumstances which were relayed during the consultation, I was not even able to use the program that contained the legal documents. Information coming from a NY Lawyer you would think would know the NY laws... This consultation did nothing for me and was a waste of money and time.I had faith in this firm and it was a complete disappointment.

Very disappointed in my lawyer I felt that he was just there for a settlement. He was not there for my best interest for sure didn’t inform me on many issues..

Justin stepped in and helped us with a legal proceeding from more than 1000 miles away. Justin is VERY busy, but he handled our matter very well and resolved our situation at a reasonable cost.
