Beware! This place is a total scam. While a good place for standard mobilization physicals, they insist on all sorts of additional and expensive tests and immunizations. Any questioning of cost is met with hostility and a pat answer to call the police and destroy your credit rating. I am very upset and traumatized by this egregious behavior.

Avoid this location for PCR testing if you’re a government employee needing a travel test. While it was easy to get an appointment, the staff was very helpful and the testing experience was quick an easy. My issue is that they list “doctor visit” on the receipt for $150 (the whole test is $300) which is not reimbursable per DoD travel policy. I contacted the office to see if I could get a new invoice just listing the test as $300, they said “no” because of HIPAA rules.......🤔. So thanks, I’m out $150!

My husband and I had a great experience at Farragut Medical to get COVID tests. When we called to schedule we were given clear instructions/expectations over the phone and they were able to schedule us for a drive-up testing appointment that same day. Once we arrived, the whole thing took less than 5 minutes and the staff members were extremely friendly and professional!

I was terribly sick with Covid and contacted Dr. Bergstrom for medical advice. She called me immediately, accessed my condition, and treated me accordingly. Additionally, she followed up with me regarding my condition twice a day. Her attention to my needs was next level. In short, I highly recommend her!

Safe and efficient COVID test procedures using telehealth screening, electronic forms & communication, and drive-up testing. Their staff was very helpful and responded quickly to our questions. We especially appreciated their willingness to fill out additional forms required for travel.

Dr. Bergstrom came through when it seemed no one else would. In the middle of a personal covid crisis she was professional, caring, level-headed, and most important - available. And unlike many in the medical profession, she always followed through on things she said she would.

Great place for COVID testing...convenient appointment times and no wait. The turn around across the country is long and out of their control. They are extremely upfront about how long results are taking from the various 4 labs that they use. Dr. Bergstrom is working 7 days a week to get results back to patients as soon as they are returned from the lab. Thank you! This is a trying time for everyone and I appreciate your staff putting themselves at risk in order to test us. Not every clinic is testing right now.

I went to this clinic for a simple blood test my doctor ordered while I was on vacation. They did not inform me ahead of time that they do not bill insurance companies and do not accept assignment for Medicare. All I needed and wanted was a simple blood test. They said they had to do an urgent care visit which included taking my blood pressure. The bill was $160 just for the so called level three exam. The blood test was $95. My total bill was $255 just for a simple blood test. Since I am on a Medicare advantage plan I cannot be reimbursed for any of the charges. My local clinic bills $68 for the same service. I would’ve been happy to pay that since I was on vacation and had a short window of time to get the blood test. However $255 is an exorbitant charge for this service. I cannot recommend this clinic to anyone.

I became violently ill with the flu over night while visiting DC. Farragut was able to immediately see me when I called. The office is modern, clean and comfortable. Both the RN and NP that saw me were extremely professional, knowledgeable and helpful. The NP even called me a few days later to make sure the medication was working and I was feeling better. This is a top-notch medical facility. Thanks, Farragut!

I called to ask for the cost of a rabies vaccine and was told $310 (she didn’t include the appointment fee of $50 but whatever). I also confirmed that this vaccine was 3 shots. Then, my first bill was $310 so it turns out that’s per shot. It felt intentionally unclear when I spoke with the women on the phone. I can’t afford that so now I wasted $310 for nothing because I will not be getting the other shots.Update:So your receptionists make a habit of not including the appointment fee when asked for the cost of vaccines? It seems like this is relevant. It was hardly “explained in great detail” as it’s in a single sentence at the bottom of the form I signed, but you’re right I should’ve read that more carefully. And while I was told by the nurse I would only be charged for the shot from the series I received, this hardly informs me of the cost. I assumed when I asked for the cost of the vaccine, this included all the shots required for me to BE VACCINATED. I also specifically asked if it was 3 shots and was told that it was, since this is standard and I needed to know the timeline.Congratulations, technically I can’t sue you or anything- that seems to be all you care about.

Wonderful care, the doctor even called me later that week to check in with me and make sure that I was doing better. Answered all of my questions and took a lot of time with me, explaining why she was suggesting different medicines and what I could do to improve my symptoms. Great location, great staff, very helpful.

I was able to do my travel vaccines here quickly. Ive also gone here for a quick visit if I cant see my regular doctor(s). You can walk in or make an appointment the same day. Its close to work (central location), which reduces my sick leave time out of the office. Its a good option if you have a severe soar throat/cold or mild infection.

I went here yesterday for the 5th time. Every time I make an appointment it is the day before and they make an appointment without a sweat. I come in (driving from an hour away) and they always take me immediately. By the time I walk in the door to the time I am walking out I am normally out within 45 minutes. Yesterday when going in I brought 4 of my colleagues with me again only making the appointment the day before. All for of us were in and out within 2 hours of the time we walked in. Appointments being at 1100 and two others at 1400. They are very timely and friendly with there service. They also helped us find a local optometrist and scheduled an appointment with them for us all. The team here is outstanding and I will continue to travel to this location before all my overseas trips. Thanks again. B. Gass

I have visited Farragut Medical and Travel Care on numerous occasions and I have consistently received incredible care and service. The entire team at Farragut Medical is knowledgeable and friendly and they go above and beyond to try to make each visit a positive experience. I have seen Dr. Ida Bergstrom for each visit and she has impressed me with both her extensive medical knowledge and her incredible way of making her patients feel at ease no matter what the circumstance. I have never had to wait to be seen and I am always in and out of the office in under 30 minutes. I would highly recommend Farragut Medical and Travel Care for all of your (and your kids!) medical needs.

This is what you get when you look at internet reviews to choose a doctor. I provided the itinerary and pertinent medical information prior to the visit with the expectation the physician would have reviewed it, and if they had any questions they would contact me. First, my husband had a 12 o’clock appointment and so with concierge service I would expect them to be timely. We were called in at 1230 and saw a wonderful, friendly PA. We then waited until about 115 to see the physician. The physician had not reviewed our information, IMHO was not knowledgeable about medication( I’m a pharmacist), and said I’m to busy to get your trip reviewed, I’ll get medications chosen next week sometime. I was not happy and so the office manager came in, admitted it was their mistake, and was going to have a competent doctor review our itinerary and call in prescriptions. I will also say that I paid significantly less for my Japanese encephalitis yesterday than my husband was quoted. I as a medical professional would not recommend this clinic for travel medicine.

Walked into their urgent care today honestly just desperate to get treatment & relief! Could not have had a better experience. Clean and professional office, convenient location right by Farragut North metro, and friendly and accommodating staff. Note that they do not take insurance but honestly thats pretty common these days and they offer to take care of submitting the reimbursement to insurance for you. I was seen almost immediately after filling out a couple forms. Both medical assistants as well as the primary doctor, Julie Cernosek, FNP-BC, were so kind and made me feel comfortable despite my uncomfortable symptoms. Simply put, I was there for OB-GYN reasons and Julie was incredibly knowledgeable and sensitive as she recommended a variety of options to me. I ended up going with literally everything she suggested, even a vaginal & cervix exam which was the most pleasant one of those I have ever gotten. Still not objectively pleasant, but she made it easy. They were certainly thorough yet efficient and wet above and beyond in every sense. She even told me she would deliver the results of my blood tests as soon as they came in via phone call herself. Thats something I really appreciate.Bottom line. Great service, make you feel comfortable and most efficient urgent care experience Ive had. Its expensive yes but if you can afford it or know your insurance will cover the reimbursement, I highly recommend.

I had a FABULOUS experience at Farragut Medical. After 3 weeks with a sinus infection, I walked in with only about 10 minutes notice and was seen immediately. I had all of my vitals taken, and had a thorough exam to properly confirmed what I assumed was a sinus infection (but needed to rule out flu, pneumonia, etc). I was very impressed with the staff, Dr. Bergstrom and Dr. Kim and after following their instructions and taking the needed medicine, I am finally feeling better. Thank you Farragut for your great service and convenience!

We were on the 3rd day of our family east coast trip and our daughters cold got worse from when we left home. The staff was very nice and helpful. We paid $150 for a visit and they offered to submit a claim on our behalf to get reimbursement through our insurance. Nurse Practitioner Cernosek was very knowledgeable and nice. Office was clean! We were in and out of there very quickly. The pharmacy Foer’s was very good also.

The folks in the office were very pleasant and helpful. I developed stomach pain over night and wanted to make sure it was nothing serious. The paperwork was minimal and I was in with a nurse within about 10 minutes of arriving. She gathered the typical medical history and Dr. Kim came in to examine me. He was prompt and professional. He ultimately determined I had pulled a muscle below my rib cage and had nothing to worry about. For folks traveling to D.C. who unexpectedly need medical care, I would certainly recommend this group.

We were visiting D.C. when one of our party came down with a mysterious, non-life threatening, illness. Dr. Bergstrom saw us within minutes and professionally examined and diagnosed the condition. Although they dont accept any insurance, the $150 that it cost for our visit was well worth the peace of mind that was provided with the diagnosis and treatment. And they will file a claim on your behalf if you have your insurance info. If your traveling and dont know where to go besides the ER (where are the Urgent Care clinics?) you will be well treated here.

Farragut Medical took great care of me. I was traveling on business in DC and came down with a nasty reaction. They gave me their time and attention, and were persistent in getting me a same day appointment with the specialist that I needed to see. Now Im on the mend and grateful. They even called more than once after I left to make sure that I was getting the care that I needed.

Okay in a pinch, I guess. For $120 you get a nurse practitioner who does about as much as they can at the CVS Minute Clinic that costs something like $30. Basically, its a fee that the medical establishment charges to write you prescriptions for things you already know you need. I wouldnt say they are particularly good listeners or good with answering detailed questions, but they do have a prescription pad.

I was congested and down with a mysterious malaise. I went to Farragut because I knew I could be seen quickly. Dr. Ida Bergstrom saw me right away, checked my pulse and found it faster than normal, listened to my breathing and immediately diagnosed pneumonia. She prescribed medication and an x-ray at a nearby facility. The whole process, from walking through the front door, to x-ray to getting my prescription filled, took no more than an hour and a half. Dr. Bergstroms knowledge was impressive, as was the professionalism of the Farragut staff. It was a very satisfactory alternative to a visit to an emergency room or other possibilities under the same conditions. And the cost was considerably less. This is an A+ facility.
