Very upset with this place today. Came for appointment. Waited over a month for this appointment. Took several calls. Got here 45 minutes early. Coming from Norfolk. After waiting for about an hour the lady came and said she knew I had been waiting but my appointment is going to run over 40 minutes behind. They only needed me there 15 minutes prior not 45 minutes. I live in Norfolk. No way I would have made it. If I reschedule it wont be for another month. I left. I have to work. Obviously this os not the place for me. Gotta look out for me. This office will not. There were signs starting with scheduling. I chose to give them the benefit of doubt. Complete waste of time. Too many patients. Will not be rescheduling. Chose Va Beach because service is better. First place where thats not the case.

The nurses are nice and my main doctor are nice also but some random doctor that’s not my doctor called and had a huge attitude then once we done with our conversation she just hung up.

Dr. Mason took my A1c from 15 to 7. She may be a little blunt but thats what I like about her. She is thorough and professional. She has gotten me from 5 shots per day down to just 2 injections per day!

I have been a patient of Dr. Torres for just over 5 years now. One of the best Endocrinologist let alone doctors I have had. I wasn’t the easiest patient starting out but she didn’t give up on me which allowed me to trust her completely with my care and push me to do the leg work. Without her I would still be making my appearance at Virginia Beach General with uncontrolled type 1 (No admissions for couple of years now) When the doctor puts that much effort into fighting with you than you know you’ve made the right choice in care. Her accolades speak for itself but from my point of view she deserves 5stars.

The office is always clean, the front desk receptions are friendly. Alexis Higgins is awesome, she is super friendly and caring. She makes a point to get to know you and she is a great listener. She is very professional and great at her job.

Dr. Harrison is a great physician! Hes been treating my diabetes for several years with compassion and understanding. The clinical staff always calls back to answer my questions free of judgement and with additional resources for me to learn more about how to treat my medical condition.

Extremely courteous and professional. Always willing to explain things so you know what to expect for your visit. Wouldn’t go anywhere else.

Although I am not yet a patient, I wanted to share the wonderful experience I had interacting with Tanesha. I had called numerous office just to schedule an appointment. Every office I had called wanted me to jump through a thousand hoops just to schedule an appointment. When I called this office, Tanesha was so warm and helpful. After being already frustrated and feeling hopeless about being able to potentially be seen, she allayed my concerns with their office. Tanesha went above and beyond to try to help me obtain the necessary paperwork to be able to be seen by their office. She provide an email address to use for communication as well so I didnt have to go through the trouble of having to print things off and try to fax. It is unbelievable that we are nearly in 2020 and doctors offices are still operating off of fax with no option to email. Based off of this initial interaction, I am hopeful that things will go well with my care and treatment. Looking forward to being seen by their office.

The office is clean and the nurses are personable. The doctors are knowledgeable, though Ive only delt with one. She can sometimes be short with me. I feel like all my questions and issues are listened to but I usually am cut off before finishing a thought. With that being said she is almost always right. Scripts are on time usually and anytime I need a call back its within a reasonable amount of time. The only reason I didnt give it five stars is the one girl in the lab who always seems annoyed for some reason like she doesnt want to be bothered.

Was very pleased with my visit. Everyone was super nice and my visit was very quick. 10/10 would recommend.

The staff are always nice when I am there. The doctors are always in a good mood and make me laugh. The entire office is very clean and always glad to be there.

Alexis Higgins was the PA that I saw here at First Colonial and she was very nice, informative, and she answered all the questions that I had to ask. She didnt make me uncomfortable and told me the different solutions that I could do to help out my situation. The reason why I am giving this establishment 4 stars is because some of the staff are very rude, have an attitude, or seem like they do not want to be there. Before I left after my appointment, I asked one of the recieptionist if they were open during the weekends if I had a question by then. She looked at me like she was annoyed or something and said no with an attitude. I know they are some days where people, including myself that has an awful day but please dont work at an establishment where you dont want to be bothered by patients on a day to day basis.

Courteous and professional staff. Knowledgeable physicians that provide helpful resources and are willing to navigate manage care obstacles.

Love my doctors! I started out with Bev Everitt and she was amazing. So patient and kind. She is also great about getting on you with your numbers.I got diagnosed with Addisons disease so i was transferred to Dr. Torres, shes awesome too!

Would NOT recommend the nurse practitioner there, Bev Everett. She is not who you want for your child, teenager or young adult. She speaks to you like you are the dumbest person on earth and that you cant comprehend English. Shell ask the same questions, like you didnt understand the first time, or perhaps, she has just forgotten your responses. The connection you need with your endocrinologist is lost with her. If you choose this facility, request to see one of the Drs.

Dr. Dizon has given me my life back... After 15 years of doctors playing with my diabetes meds and never being able to get my diabetes under control, Dr. Dizon has taken my A1C from 12 to 7 in 3 months! I love my numbers and more importanty I feel great! Thank you so much!

Bev Everitt is great and I disagree with the other view about her repeating questions and treating people as if they are dumb.
