No bed side manner. Completely brushed me off. I would give her a zero if I could. Told me I would never have sensation again prior to knowing what MAY be the cause & more testing. I would NEVER go to her or back to her. No compassion. I didn’t feel like she would ever advocate for me...bottom line: Zero stars for this specialist.

If anyone thought MS would ever be cured she stated “it prob won’t be for 20 to 100 years so think twice before donating to causes apparently she knows there’s hope in sight... wonder how she knows this.... again no money in a cure, she may know something that I wish so many would realize!

Worse than a complete waste of time. Insulting, unsanitary, degrading. Ive had better service at the local DMV. They ignored me at their window for 15 minutes, no exaggeration. Only one out of five employees was wearing a mask. The entire operation was a total manifestation of the worst of American healthcare. I walked out before even stepping foot inside the office. Avoid at all costs.

She has been treating my husbands seizure condition for about 10 years. She has always taken time to listen, and acted on our requests for various treatments. She has achieved seizure control for my husband, for the first time in his life (60 years of seizures-hes 86). Articulate. Good listener. Very kind.Listen folks, having a seizure disorder is not an easy life. Those of you who expressed dissatisfaction with the doctor, you have my sympathy. Please search for a support group. Come to grips with your condition, and follow the guidelines for seizure control. God bless you, and I hope you find comfort from a support group. This is a good doctor, just stoic. That is part of her culture. Calm, quiet, and listening. What you are dealing with is frightening, I know. Ive been a caregiver for 44 years. But you will, and can make a better life.

I saw Dr. Cao for over 2 years in 3 month increments. She was extremely well educated and very compassionate. That is a hard combination to find in todays medical community. She was thorough and expressed her findings clearly and concisely. As a highly trained neurologist, she was surprisingly open to alternate therapies. We discussed recently published articles and research. Although she did not specifically endorse such therapies, she was amicable in my seeking them. Another rarity in organized medicine. Her bedside manner was always very professional. Her staff was very knowledgeable and communicated promptly and effectively. My only regret is that, do an overlap in care, she had to withdraw as my provider.

Worst customer service experience Ive ever had with a doctors office. Poor communication, very long waits, and an I dont really care attitude from the staff. On one particular day, I was heading to my appointment when I looked at my paperwork and realized that the appointment time the staff wrote down was different than what I put in my calendar so I called. I was on hold so long that I finally got in my car, left my office and drove 15 minutes to get there. I walked in while still on hold to see one person on the phone and two others laughing and looking at their phones. When I presented the paper to the girl and told her I was confused about the time and not happy that I had just driven there, she says Your appointment is now. Do you want this paper anymore? and threw it away. No apology, no concern...nothing. An HOUR later, I was finally called back and again no one said Sorry for the wait. No one communicated with me during the wait. After the appointment, they could figure out the insurance information so they told me that they would contact me about it later and I could go ahead and leave. Weeks later, I got a letter in the mail notifying me that my account was past due for almost $800. No communication leading up to that letter. I called to ask about it and the girls says It has been paid and the balance is $0. I told her I was not happy about getting the letter and having to worry about billing issues and she offered no apology and actually sat in silence until I finally said thanks. She responded with Goodbye. Doctors never seem to care about others time but this one takes the cake. Awful!

The office staff was very rude and Dr. Cao Xianghui was not friendly, had no compassion and acted like she was did not care about me and would not even consider looking into what was wrong with me. I was not there to ask for medicine but because she saw I was on medications she assumed thats all I wanted from her which was not the case at all!!! All I wanted was some sympathy or compassion and for her to give some effort to try to find out what was causing my pain Im my legs and feet. All she did was talk to me and send sent me away. The lady should find a different profession since she looks down at her patients and acts like she is better than them!!!!

Normally I do not post reviews but following my husbands appointment with Dr. Cao I felt it was necessary to document our experience during our visit. Our PCP referred my husband to Dr. Cao for an electromyography (EMG) and nerve conduction velocity (NCV) test. It began when I received a phone call from Dr. Caos office notifying me that my husband had been scheduled for an appointment the following day. This was the first contact we had received from Dr. Caos office. There was no phone call to discuss a mutually convenient day and time for the appointment. Due to work obligations and the less than 24 hour notice of the appointment my husband called the office and left a voicemail cancelling the appointment. The following day his PCP contacted me to see how the appointment had gone and I explained the situation. I then called Dr. Caos office and re-scheduled. His office went over the preliminary requirements of no lotion or oils and loose clothing and then told me that because our deductible had not been met we would be responsible for between $400 and $600 dollars on the day of the visit. We arrived 15 minutes early as requested, filled out the required paperwork and waited. Approximately 10 minutes after our scheduled appointment time Dr. Cao stepped out and called him back to the examining room. Because it can be overwhelming and sometimes confusing trying to absorb information while being tested I went back with him. The examining room in which he was being tested appeared to be an office in the process of either being renovated or being used as a junk room with an assortment of furniture pushed against the wall. Dr. Cao said very little to either of us other than to ask if he was on blood thinners and stating that there would be some discomfort during the testing. She offered no detailed explanation of the procedures she was about to perform nor did she ask if we had any questions. She began with the NCV testing which he tolerated fairly well. She then proceeded to insert a needle into his hip area which he found extremely painful. At this point he refused to to proceed with any further testing. Because I wanted him to complete the testing so that we could get an accurate diagnosis I asked if there was a topical application we could use to lessen the pain and was told there was not. I asked how many more needle insertions he would have to go through and if they would be as painful but never received an answer to those questions. I asked how the incomplete test would affect the results and was told that the test would only be 1/2 complete. What I HOPED she would do is try to reassure him by explaining exactly what to expect with the remaining needle insertions but again, she did not appear to care whether he completed the testing or not and began to remove the electrodes. When my husband asked if she could give us any results she said they would be forwarded to our PCP in 2-3 days. She then left the room. When my husband and I walked out to the check-out desk Dr. Cao and the two office people were talking about how my husband had not completed the test and they were laughing. The moment they saw us Dr. Cao walked away and the two staff members resumed professional behavior. We paid the bill and left. There have been attempts to alleviate pain during an EMG with pharmacologic interventions (eg, skin sprays or oral analgesics) and with nonpharmacologic interventions (eg, calming music and/or providing pre-procedure information about the test to alleviate anxiety). Either one of these options could have made a difference in my husband being able to complete the testing in order to get an accurate diagnosis. Dr. Cao either did not know, which in and of itself is disturbing or did not care.

If I could give her less than one star I would. She shows absolutely no compassion what so ever and takes no time to explain anything. I had seen her a few times for my epilepsy when I woke up one morning looking and feeling like I had had a stroke. My PCP called ahead to get me a emergency appt with Dr. Cao who spent about 2 minutes with me and said , its over now take these pills you might want to look into getting some physical therapy and talk to your PCP about blood pressure pills and go get these tests that will cost you about $20,000. Then she left the room. I was 36 I had no insurance and was scared to death, crying, thinking I was going to die and she was horrible. Do yourself a favor dont see this woman. I doubt she ever reads these reviews but just in case she does, Lady you need to take some classes on bedside manner.

Took Money from an Disabled Stroke Victim as Medicaids payment wasnt enough and She sued taking almost half of His limited income as he had too retire due to the stroke. But knew it and still took the money he needed to survive. But I guess she needs more than him. What an horrible excuse of a human let alone a So Called doctor you would get more compassion from a loan shark.
