Recently moved back to this area. So I decided to get back in the groove of working at the planet fitness. Its so much closer than the LA fitness in Old national and it just makes sense. Everything is pretty much the same but they did remove 80% of the benches at the weights area. Only leaving two benches makes it pretty hard to lift weights without getting on the floor. I think they went a little too far with the social distancing there. It makes me question if I should even keep my new membership there because the weights are my favorite workout.

If you’re a black female you’re asked not to wear small crossbody bags why working or set them on the floor near you, but the men are allowed to set large duffel bags next to them. I don’t know if it’s because the staff prefer men or what

First time working out at this location, 9/14/2021. Very impressed with the cleanliness and condition of the equipment.Had to wait for a bench to be freed up but other than that I will definitely put this location in my rotation of gyms more often.

Customer service was awesome. Both representatives explained personal training and tailored programs very thoroughly. They helped me set up my app on my phone and also helped me navigate. It was a breath if fresh air to experience excellent customer service for a change!!!

Refreshing 1 hour workout to get the day started

UPDATE : it’s a good location nobody bothers you. Weeknds/holidays are the best because it isn’t overcrowded. You can just go do your thing, relax and leave.I was greeted when I walked in and helped immediately. I switched locations and the nice young man working at the front helped me with the app and everything else. I was in and out in the matter of minutes. I definitely would recommend this location to family and friends.

Easily accessed location off of main thoroughfare. Very large location with ample equipment and space to exercise while socially distancing. Mask requirement on posted signs. Staff respectfully engages guests to comply in a matter of fact way. Contactless sign-in with app. Facility well apportioned and maintained. Staff are helpful, courteous and great attitudes. The addition of the crowd tracker to the member app is a great way to plan when you workout day and have an idea of the attendance prior to walking through the door.

Made my first official visit today and everything about it was amazing! I walked out from my first gym workout feeling really good. Clean facility as well. I felt this welcoming feel the entire time. Even the guy who did my check in was really welcoming. It definitely set the tone.

Very Clean, Good Amenities.

Super professional and clean. I travel a lot for work and so the black card at PF is great for me but I often get nervous working out at locations I’ve never been to before. This location is awesome, all facilities were kept very clean (including the bathroom) and the employees are very friendly. David and Armani at the front desk were great at welcoming me to this location and asking me if I need anything since this was my first visit. Best PF experience yet.

Love THIS place!! Wish they could get a better handle on the SQUATTERS!!! They say I went to the gym...but just sit and occupy equipment playing a game on their phone.When I go...I go to work and make no mistake....I work a heavy load.

Gym was clean, not crowded, plenty of open machines, able to social distance.Sanitation supplies available near equipment.

Lots of machines so you dont have to wait. Most members wear masks while working out and wipe down the machines after use. Not crowed at all.

Was very skeptical because its in union city but the place is always clean and the staff is always great. I love the crowd meter because it lets me know when it wont be super crowed ( which it never is). Love love love it here

The facility is very clean and the employees are friendly and attentive.

The staff is always friendly and the manager is seemingly keeping up the PF cleanliness way, which I love!I also like that the young guys that work there (in the AM) look like they like their job and they go about with intent. I like to see people who apply for jobs, actually doing their job and with intent.

The manager specifically is very unprofessional. Was attacked while wiping my face of sweat. I only lower my mask to wipe sweat and sip water. Manger displayed very flamboyant attitude towards my guest and I. Once management is corrected or replaced this will be a decent place to work out until then I feel straight men and couples will be under attack by the flamboyant manager. And i notice that members of the LGBT community go about doing whatever they please and it’s discriminative.

Real laid back and they disable equipment to maintain social distancing

Planet Fitness provides a very laid back friendly atmosphere conducive for the perfect workout. The Planet Fitness staff is very friendly. I always have the perfect workout experience.

Definitely always a machine available, the machines are never broken, and the bathroom (womens) is always clean!!

Very clean. Social distancing is great. Mask are required. Cleaning supplies are readily available and easy to find.

I been going since they opened up and I travel so I go to all the planet fitness near me. Also and I never had any kind of problems. I dont bother anyone and no one bothers me.

Planet Fitness wouldnt allow my guest to workout under my Black Card membership because their own membership was over due. What the hell does that have to do with my memebership?! My membership states I can have a Guest! It doesnt say a guest, BUT! Time to find out if LaFitness has the same dumba$$ policy!

DO NOT BECOME A MEMBER HERE!!!! Not only is PF a money-hungry SCAM who places their members in danger during a GLOBAL pandemic, their customer service is non-existent, the manger at this location is unhelpful and their “cleaning” solution is water based and NOT CDC approved. They use the fact PF is independently owned as an excuse to get over on customers. The last straw for me was having to jump through hoops for the duration of a billing cycle to cancel my membership. Unprofessional and Inconsiderate. DO NOT BECOME A MEMBER!

Extremely clean and well organized.

I wish they had a sauna instead of several tanning beds but it is clean and it makes you feel safe to work out.

I understand that it’s important for younger people to gain experience in the workforce , but their customer service skills are horrible . I signed up for a day pass , and the young guy kept telling me I had to pay $22. He was unaware of their promotions, so I feel like that falls on management to make sure they are properly trained. Good thing I didn’t spend money on a membership.

The staff is very young and inexperienced but I love the fact they hire young people, However the manger and his staff are VERY RUDE and DISRESPECTFULLY especially the Manger (skinny guy with braids that wears a hat and speaks softly) i think his name is Dimitri. In my personal observation and in my own experience with him I have noticed he is bias towards straight African American men. But his treatment towards women and other in the LGBT community differs from those who is hereosexaul........

CLEANLINESS OF THE FACILITY (Union City) IS SUPERIOR to the other PF locations I have visited in the ATL area. The Staff regularly comes out and actually follows the cleaning protocols that are advertised in the media. Also encouraged by the recent efforts of law enforcement to patrol the parking area at night... Nice turn around! The other locations are OK. But this one really stands out!!!

I really like this particular gym.. The staff is very nice. This location just needs to be a lot quicker about fixing equipment, as of yesterday bench press machine has been down at least 2 weeks. Pls add water pressure back to the water fountain also. It’s good for the bottle but not a normal drink. Also mold is starting to form around water fountain. These are just normal wear and tear issues. Thanks for all the great service though.

The gym is clean from what I’ve seen. There needs to be more enforcement of mask wearing among patrons, sure it’s uncomfortable but we have them for a reason. There also needs to be some communication on acceptable forms of payment. I signed up with my prepaid debit card and prepaid checking account. I made my first payment with that debit card, second payment with that debit card and am told I have to change my banking information because they “don’t accept prepaid accounts”. That’s nonsensical.

Wonderful time back in the gym. Aand they have really stepped it up for us. Multiple cleaning stations, the employees come through periodically sanitizing. Its a clean upbeat environment. Plus they have new weight systems, better than back home. Im in GA now. Im excited about being back . loving PF right now.

Overall I enjoy going to planet fitness. Its clean and close bye. However, I dont really care for the Managerial staff specifically the guy that wears the hat with braids underneath. Hes rude and alot times seem uninterested

Union City is a very nice place to work out at. It stays clean, orderly, and the staff is very professional, friendly & helpful if you need them. Oh, and they dont allow weights to be laying around all over the place. This is the best experience Ive had in a long time in any gym! Never been so comfortable, actually got me to become regular with my workout & I love it 💪😂!

Friendly staff and well kept environment. Sunday’s are the best, no one is hardly there. You’re free to every machine and don’t have to worry about that 1 creepy older guy gawking at you. Every gym has that 1!

The staffers were great.. the atmosphere is good...plenty of equipment even though it got full quickly. There are a variety of targeted sessions you can do as well the message chair and hydro bed were to die for.

I usually go early in the morning. I feel safe because most of the time police cars are visible in the parking lot. Once inside, the young man that is there is very friendly. He never neglects to wish one a good workout as well as extends pleasantries upon my leaving. He is always willing to assist. I like my PF experience! The facility is clean and the atmosphere is really judgement free.

I will not sign up with Planet Fitness or any other Planet Fitness, I have a membership for $10.00:a month and Planet Fitness is illegally (unauthorized)withdrawing $23.01out of my bank account; in February, March and recently on June 17, 2020. I called twice, once in April 2020 and again on June 18, 2020; first time I talked with a female manager, who refuse to give me her birth name, she gave me a nickname and said it fast. She stated that they don’t give refund, but will credit my account, I stated even if you are taking out an unauthorized amount out of my account, she stated, “yes.” Wow! Second time I called I talked with an employee and again she gave me a nickname for the manager and when I asked what was his/her birth name, she stated, she didn’t know the manager’s real name, again, BS. Do not deal with Planet Fitness, they are not an honest business.

Today I went to cancel my membership only to find out I would not receive a refund for months I was charged during a PANDEMIC. I did not get to take advantage of the gym at all because I signed up right before all gyms closed. Now they are back open and I receive multiple charges for a membership I did not get to use on top of the annual fee. I received unsatisfactory customer services when asked on who I can contact about this since there is no true customer service line, and I was told by an associate named (Shawn) he wasnt authorized to give me the managers email address. Totally poor experience and during these times having money stolen from me for events out of my control. Yall can keep your judgement-free zone for as long as you are ripping people off.

So...last time I was there my truck got booted!😳 Had to pay $500 even thou I explained I am a paying customer of Planet Fitness.The gym has no control over this and its not their fault, but just the same Im never going back there. Maybe gym mangers should call mall administrators and tell them how their actions is costing them business. Or not. I dont care either way. With so many choices, Im not going to worry about it.

I used to like going to about 3 different locations.. but Union City is now my spot! Clean, spacious, all machines work🤞(I pray I didnt just jinx it)😂

The gym is new & nice. The equipment/variety of machines available is wonderful.HOWEVER, the staff is not professional in any way. A bunch of young kids who sit on the counters talk & play around every time I’m in the gym...and don’t even think about asking how a machine works/for a demonstration. They should definitely employ a more professional staff.

For those who havent been back to planet fitness in a skeptical about this virus, planet fitness have stepped up their game it is very well sanitized everythings distant apart and it constantly have reminders on the intercom about cleaning behind yourself with the spray that they provide for you to have hand sanitizer beside the spray dispensers, Im back and Im losing those pandemic pounds!!😊🎉 in

This is my home gym and like how clean and empty this gym is at 6am. But what i do not like is people not cleaning up after themselves, there are weights laying around all the time, even in the smith machines. I travel a lot for work and have visited many Planet Fitness around the states, there is always a staff members walking around making sure everything is in order.

I really like planet fitness because the people are friendly but were not familiar with all of the equipment. The equipment was clean and working with a good verity to choose from. They normally have classes but for some reason they have been cancelled indefinitely with no reason given.

Gym is kept very clean and location is perfect however, the constant view of glass in the parking lot from vehicles being broken into is unsettling. Mention this to an employee and was told that UC Police sit in the parking lot if their shift permits however, as a law enforcement professional this is not the answer. The constant present of security/or L.E. would definitely help to deter some/or all of the car break ins but hey that just my opinion; other than this issue overall great gym.

Never too busy, always a machine open and very clean. Staff sometimes are not paying attention to the main floor but for the most part I have been to worst establishments.

Visited great set up. Has a fitness room just for ab and stretch work outs. Also has a black card membership which has really neat machinery one of them- infrared light box which you step into supposed to help lose weight on arms,legs,all over. Big plus- open 24 hrs

The gym is ok especially if your new at working out or getting back into the gym after being out for a while. Beware of parking your car there late night, cars get broken into all the time while your inside working out and the gym doesn’t take responsibility if your vehicle is damaged

The equipment at this location is so new I didnt know how to use it, my home gym location equipment is not bad but older. I was there VERY early in the morning, it began to get busy but never crowded. And the staff at this location were much nicer and more helpful than my home location, Ill be back!

My experiences here are always great ones, the staff are all friendly and helpful. The cleaning staff goes above and beyond to keep the bathrooms and gym area clean. They love what they do and value their work environment.

I signed up online .. great location between home and work to get a work out in. I hope this place is around for a long time because all they build in this area are warehouses.The facility is nice and new and my experience with the staff is that everyone has been friendly. Let’s continue to support business like this in the area.

Its very clean and I think a good place to work out worth the money

I love going to planet fitness, I enjoy my workouts. The only down side is it’s a larger gym so for me personally it is a little intimidating.Reasonably priced, clean, clean bathrooms and lockers. Be sure to bring your own lock for the lockers.

This is a God honest review and I’m not making this review because I don’t like the gym But”!!!!. There is no security in the parking lot . The parking lot is dark, and customers vehicles get burglarized every other night while there exercising. I love the gym but they have to come up with a solution for the crime. Maybe if they paid a private security officer or an off duty police officer to surveillance the area it would solve the problem. Only thing the staff does is hope an on-duty cop catches the criminals when they drive pass, which isn’t “PROACTIVE” at all. Last thing you should be thinking about when your working out is if someone is breaking in your car smh. Good gym but crime is out of control what is it gonna take for them to spend money on security a customer to get killed a gun point by a criminal it’s sad and terrible.

Staff is very nice, they always speak. They are constantly wiping down machines, as well as emptying trash and making sure all paper towels are stocked!

If I could give zero stars, I would. My friend and I went today to sign up for the deal at the Union City location. My friend saw the sign up area and went there. I went to greet the guy at the front counter. I greeted him and proceeded to ask him questions. He was too preoccupied with what my friend was doing and then asked her what was she doing. She said doesn’t this say sign up right here. Rudely he says no we sign you up over here. This guy was very rude and had a nasty attitude. I began asking him some questions about the deal still being on, what it consisted of, and was it with a contract or no contract. I also asked him did the contract mean I could cancel at anytime. Rudely, he said yes. Still willing to give it a try, I said I wanted to sign up. He got the clip board out and asked me for my ID, debit card, and banking info. I said why do you need both my debit and banking info. Again rudely, he said the banking info was for the monthly payment and the debit card was for the prorated fee for the month. Because his attitude sucked, I said never mind and walked out. Customer service is what draws and keeps a customer. Even if someone pisses in your cornflakes, you still have a job to do and should not allow it to affect you. If customer service is something you can’t do then I would suggest you find another job.

This gym could be better if there wasnt so many car break ins! I assume this has nothing to do with the gym and more the area but it still needs to be fixed. Also they always kicking us out because of the fire alarm. Gym is new so everything on that end is fine. my issue is with the staff very rude and leave you waiting at counter while they gossip and throw candy and pens at each other. There is one girl in there who I love though her name is Asharah or ash and she was the best. if you go in I would suggest you deal with her she is the lightskin one with black hair and a bull ring in her nose. She was very sweet and professional unlike the rest of the rude staff. Also the trainer (forgot his name but a white guy) was very good too and he helped me out a lot with the equipment. that leads me to my next point. TRAIN YOUR FRONT DESK STAFF ON EQUIPMENT. If you go in on a weekend while trainers aint there not a lot of the people at the front desk can help you because they seem to know nothing about equipment. Other then those problems its a great gym!

To inclusive for Me. Eye need a Womens only work out spot. They have what you need if this is your thing. The tour was very thorough. Eye am not paying a monthly fee and some other kind of fee as well. Miss Me with that! No thanks! 😢
