Dr. Kamp did a great job with my surgery (as best I can tell), answering my questions, and handling issues as I had them. In post-op he listened and respected my opinion which prevented a horrible experience. However, his office staff is highly frustrating and nothing short of incompetent. Id give him 5 Stars but, unfortunately, you have to deal with his staff regularly trying to get in to see him. One one trip I was left in the waiting room for 2 hours and met with attitude every time I tried to figure out what was going on. Just today, I sat for over an hour waiting for a teleconference call and yet again attitude when I asked for a status update. I finally just left and will seek my answers elsewhere. I have responsibilities too.

Dr. Kamp is one of the most compassionate and thorough surgeons Ive dealt with...as a patient and as a hospital employee. I would recommend him to family, friends, etc. His staff is excellent, as well. I had as good an experience as I could have expected, under the circumstances!

Maybe Im biased because Ive worked with him in the past (while employed @Okmulgee Memorial as a Med-Surg Nurse) but Dr. Kamp is an excellent physician. He knows his stuff, his skills are exemplary, and he goes above and beyond to help his patients feel comfortable. Definitely recommend him for anyone needing a surgeon - even in an Emergency Situation, hes who you want in your corner!
