This place offers customized massages to the individuals needs each session. In addition to a mixture of other styles of beneficial massage, if you get there 15-20 minutes early you can get a foot soak and heating pad for the neck. In addition you get to pick your oils for your treatment. My therapist was Rita and she was awesome. I was only in town for one week when I met her and I went three times. My friend had Donnell and said she was awesome as well. Based on the education of these 2 therapists, I feel pretty confident saying that all the therapist are probably well-trained and versed in several of the healing modalities of therapeutic Massage. I want to suggest to ya all to be sure and tip the gal who helps you get settled in previous to your massage. She works really hard too to enhance the experience with the foot soak and heating pads. Im so glad I found this place. When I return I will be back.

I have had hundreds of massages over the past few decades, and most of them are pretty much the same. I ask for deep tissue massage, and I get some deep tissue, but mostly not, with a perfunctory attempt at asking if the pressure is okay. I often feel as if I have wasted my time and money on a service that I probably didnt need in the first place. But my recent massage with Janelle, at Beyond Basic Massage, was a very happy exception. When I requested deep tissue, that is exactly what I got! I walked in with some minor neck pain, shooting up from my shoulder to my scalp. I mentioned this problem to Janelle, and when I walked out after my massage, the pain was gone. As in completely gone--poof! Janelle is thorough and professional, and I almost didnt want to write this review so I could keep this secret miracle-worker to myself. Shes too good for me to keep silent, however. If you are tense, or have any kind of troubling aches or pains, go see Janelle. You wont be sorry: I promise.

Beyond Basic is simply the best. Fantastic prices and specials all the time. Lots of great therapists to choose from. The rooms are so nice and relaxing. Arrive early and you get a great foot bath before your massage which is a wonderful treat. There is no where else that I want to get massages.

Yesterday was my sports massage with Rory. I got back the day before that from a 26 mile weekend backpack and my legs were dead. I feel great now. Rory asked right off how much pressure I wanted and he took it from there. Hes a clean cut guy, very respectful and considerate. One of the better therapists Ive had.

I recently took advantage of a Living Social deal and had a 90-minute massage with Rory. It was one of the best massages I have ever had. He is excellent at deep-tissue work while still making the massage feel relaxing rather than painful. Highly recommended!

I received this massage as a birthday present from a friend (she also got a massage). My friend texted me before my massage saying how amazing it was as she got hers shortly before mine. When I need a massage, there are three reasons I receive massages at Beyond Basic: 1) relaxing and professional atmosphere, quiet and low key; 2) Theresa is absolutely amazing, skilled and well trained in what she does. Just had a deep tissue massage with Ignacio. After suffering with unrelenting pain and muscle spasms in my neck and shoulders for the last 3 weeks, I am in nirvana!. I booked my first session at Beyond Basic Massage for me and my girlfriend who just arrived from San Francisco. She looked so relaxed after her massage with Coloradas! Shes used to intense Thai massage sessions in S.F. but was impressed that Coloradas was able perform effective deep tissue without all the pain and she slept really well her first night in Tucson. Rory was my therapist and I am going back again with my husband for a second session because Rory was able to deal with my knots and tension without stressing out my body. Not only was Rory able to release my muscles, but he adjusted the pressure skillfully as needed and instinctively knew when to back off -- a sign of an experienced bodywork therapist. I am very finicky about therapists and have often found that my goals for therapeutic treatment were rarely met. However, last night with Roxanna, once I addressed my needs she demonstrated she is an exceptional healer. She can do deep tissue and concentrated on the targeted areas that have caused me pain and serious discomfort most recently. Having a torn rotator cuff and scar tissue built-up on my foot from surgery a few years back, I will flare up every few weeks. I sent my client information and said I am suffering from sciatic pain. I told Coloradas 3 times that this was my primary concern. I also explained my massage history and exercise history twice.When Coloradas began my massage, he asked me all of these same exact questions again and I answered with the same information I had already told him.Thus, for whatever reason, he never actually listened to me.Since my primary concern and the reason I scheduled this massage was for my sciatic pain, I specifically asked Coloradas if he could work this area since he told me to keep my underwear on. He reassured me that he would work this area.After my 60 minute massage, which was nice, Coloradas never even touched my right buttock nor my sciatic pain.While I had a gentle full body massage, I wasted $60.00 because my primary concern was Never addressed.I am so very disappointed and upset that I spent $60.00 with No attention to my primary reason for going to this office!I received a message from Rory regarding refunding my massage expenses. Still No refund received!
