Dr. Loewenstein and his staff are outstanding to say the least. Patients are given the attention they need, and he is very thorough in his assessment of patient health.

Im updating my review from 2 stars to 1. Ive been seeing Dr Lowenstein for 7 years. The first 2 years he was an excellent listener and very attentive to my well being. This has tapered off to the point that Im now aggressively searching for another Internist. He doesnt listen. I find myself repeating myself about conditions/issues hes been aware of since I became his patient.I never know what Im going to get from one appointment to the next. He can be very accommodating, then the next appointment, hasty and disregarding my concerns, health and well being, appearing insensitive. and not concerned about my individual situation. He doesnt answer questions or explain the reason for decisions he makes that obviously affect my life, other than to say times have changed. He has flip flopped on my medications to the point of causing me a lot of stress. He seems to go on attack mode when Im by myself and/or not feeling well. Hes demeaning and says a lot of negative things. Such as..if evolution was true, I wouldnt even be alive...and Im a complicated patient. WTH. I have a rare, genetic, chronic lung disease, and am disabled. He belittles me and talks as if its my fault. It keeps me awake at night knowing he doesnt care whether I live or die. So far I havent been able to replace him with a great internist because the ones that come highly recommended to me arent accepting new patients! Ill keep trying. He even turned his back on me when I came in on an extremely urgent visit with excruciating pain. Told me there was nothing he could do. He wouldnt even help me to temporarily aleve my pain. Just refused care and sent me to the emergency room, where I finally got pain relief.I have more than one chronic illness. He even had the nerve to call in 1 single pill of an antibiotic, calling me an antibiotic abuser. I feel like hes on a power trip, playing games with my life. I dont abuse antibiotics or any type of drug or mood altering substance. Ever.Dr Lowenstein can have a nice demeanor, and is a likable person, which has kept me on the hook..not to mention my hopefulness when he gives decent medical care in a general sense. He goes by statistical information rather than focusing on the individual patient needs.Im writing this review with TOTAL honesty and only to be of use to other patients.

Attempted to work with dr Ror twice I figured everybody deserves a second chance. Dr Roy see me me approximately 4 times with out providing any relive to my medical issues yet he was overly concerned with making remark after remark on how obesed I am must be getting kick backs from hope waight loss program since he insisted I should consider even though I advice him how sick I got with their program I actually ended at urgent care.this dr is not concerned or care about anything you have to say I am still dealing with the exact same issues that he neglected to fix and got tired of how depressed he made me feel
