Its an understatement to say that CODAC is a dysfunctional organization. I have found that I cannot trust CODAC to take care of my medication, so that I dont get sick. It seems every single month, theres another issue. The doctors and the staff seem like they dont communicate with each other, and their policies feel punative towards patients. If you are considering CODAC, you are most likely poor and desperate, which means substandard care. Its unjust.I can see that CODAC responds to reviews by suggesting the solution zone. Just so youre aware, the solution zone is only available during business hours, so if you have a job, you will literally never be able to talk to them, unless you take a day off of work. And good luck getting a solution. There is no other way to complain. No email, no web comments, nothing. Ive considered sending my psychiatrist a certified letter, just to let him know I need a refill! Lord knows, he will never ever get any of my messages. As a former operations manager, Im offended when I see this type of organizational failure. Clearly, they are either incompetent, or they are being dishonest about their true mission.Sadly, most addicts will have nowhere else to go. Seems to be our destiny to suffer at the hands of those who claim they want to help us.

This place is heartless and disingenuous. It’s a machine that grinds the despair and suffering of addicts into money. Patients have no real discourse for the injustices repeatedly inflicted on them. It is not designed to stop addiction, the system is designed to encourage recidivism. They want the addict to be a perpetual revolving door of suffering, for this is economically feasible for them. Not only will they not care about your suffering, but there is retaliatory climate there that basically forces you to smile under threat of forceful removal, and be cordial with the very people facilitating your exploitation, and neglectful abuse. Don’t become a member here, it’s hell. I have been a member for 6 years, and have watched it go from being a pretty good place, to a hellscape that dons a smile.

Been going here for methadone for the last 4 months. They are nice people and theyre caring kind and helpful. They are understanding and willing to help people many ways. They help you get medical and mental care they help people get employment and sign up for schooling and classes. They dont just offer methadone and suboxone. They help you get on your feet and through the recovery process and starting back on a normal path to a safe and sober life.

This place is amazing!!! I can say from personal experience that this place saved my life! They have amazing staff that help you with the path to recovery and the doctors listen to your needs and concerns. Everyone from the people at the front desk to the doctors and nurses and even the guys who open the doors for you are soooo supportive and congratulate you on every step of the way! This place not only helped me it helped everyone in my life by giving me a second chance! My children are loved by all the staff and codac has programs that even help you to incorporate your children in your recovery process!!! They offer so many programs from acupuncture, emdr therapy, counseling, group sessions and even a primary Care doctor so I can get all my services in one place. They have job services to help you with your resume and even offer peer counseling that you can sign up for and get certified to help others that are going through what you did and give them support while they are on their way through recovery. I seriously cant say enough about this place! I never felt judged or ashamed they gave me the support and help that I needed and I will forever be grateful for Codac!

Every staff member cares. I brought my brother for help, and I noticed how they treated every person seeking help with respect. Not a single person was looked down on. The doctors don’t just stay in their offices they actually come out and check up on everyone while they go through the process. You gotta allow yourself to be helped.

The staff does care. But day in and day out there are people who take this place as a joke. If you are serious about help they WILL help you. My recovery coach even got me a SOS KIT WHEN i got my apt. They are great... And yes there is an officer people get HOSTILE and CRAZY there so i feel safer. The doctors are awesome. The only isssue is the amount of nurses working they need more windows. And I will admit the initial intake is terrible, awful, painful and i dreaded it too but you gotta do what you gotta do. Just beware not everyone there is clean and alot of people will try to ruin your recovery so protect it.

This place is awesome they really helped me out. I called on Thursday at 4pm and got enrolled. They said come in whenever 24/7 so I came in the same day around 7pm. They asked a bunch of questions and the nurse did a checkup. The doctors weren’t in that late obviously so they said come back in the morning to see the doctor. I came back in when they opened and waited a while but the doctor saw me at 8 and I was dosed in 30 minutes and went on my way. Everyone there was very professional and polite. I saw 2 people come in yelling at them for reasons that weren’t in codacs control. It’s not their fault you missed your dose because your aunt didn’t pick you up in time so you yell at the nurses like it’s their problem? No own up to your mistakes and quit taking it out on them. If you really want to quit I recommend this place above them all.

I went here a long time, I had doctor Nelson - he was not a nice doctor, and every damn time I had an appointment with him he would each his lunch during our session . They had me on 5 medications, and I was mess, they changed my medications alot, ignored my requests to have doctor Underwood as my doctor, I tried to get housing help, they gave me excuses yet people I personally knew still using were getting apartments and even using in those same apartments, got the same run around trying to get help getting a job as well. You just end up in a viscous circle going here, and deep down your just another body making them $$ most of them dont really care or truly listen.

I shared this in another area but I’ll do it here as a warning to go along with my one star (id rate less if I could). My friend spent approx 5 hours at this clinic desperately wanting to get back I suboxone after a relapse (he had been on suboxone successfully for years but missed an appointment with his doctor and relapsed and then he couldnt get back into his doctor). He was in tears he was so excited to get back on suboxone and start his life again. After that 5 hours in the waiting room and doing the intake shuffle he finally gets back to a nurse who informs him he has to test clean, no opiates in his system before they can prescribe him suboxone. And of course they didn’t share this over the phone or before his 5 hour wait and 25$ lyft ride (and when he asked while he was there he got brushed off with “wait until the nurse sees you...”). .If you’re an addict, let that sink in for a moment. 2-3 days BEFORE they will prescribe you with the medicine to get off opiates. Are you laughing yet? Neither was he.He was positively crushed because if he could wait 3 days, well, he wouldnt really need suboxone would he?! It’s on purpose of course. It’s all about that $$$.They claim it’s for insurance reasons or some nonsense but doctors prescribe suboxone immediately starting detox all the time, so do inpatient facilities. No, this is to get people on the evil, daily monitored, government funded, bone shaking, insideous drug they DO administer to anyone, anytime, methadone. By giving them no other option and after that wait, most people I imagine give in (methadone has a very very high relapse rate for reasons I won’t go into here). It’s a rather hellish scheme (and scheme is EXACTY what this is btw) but I’m sure it keeps that money rolling in...What an absolute joke. This place should be ashamed to even call themselves a suboxone treatment facility.Shame Shame Shame on you all. Be upfront about the treatment you provide. You’re just another sleazy methadone clinic and you shouldn’t ever call yourself anything different.

A giant methadone factory that just keeps getting bigger at the expense of the patients. New doctors providers (Drs) think they know it all re addiction and treat long-time users like children who need their minds made up for them, . rarely listening to member input. Then, when a treatment plan is agreed upon, the Dr is replaced and a new Dr comes in and throws it all out the window. I saw a total of 9 Drs last year. The same thing goes for case managers: I had 4 last year and spent 5 months without one. The only reason Im giving 2 stars is because its hepled me stay clean.

I have a family member in this place and its a joke. They are in it for the money and not for the patients. The government needs to shut places like this down. They never decrease the meds so that patients have to keep coming so that they xan get gwtting government funding. Dont trust this place its a scam.

Look this is the only place in town that you can gp 24/7 and isnt a detox center . That should give at least 3 stars just for that. And I give it one more because they get you in and dosed on the same day with or without ahcccs and every other free clinic takes at least 2 weeks to get into. Ive gone to a few pay clinics and they even takes 4+ hours to intake and dose you if and most now have to schedule intakes at least a day ahead of time. And they dose til 4pm . Theres only 1 other clinic that doses that late and its $200 intake and $80 a week. So as far as the bs that it may entail Id say its worth it since its free, doses the same day, and doses til 4. So unless you want to pay $200 for your first week, quit whining people. Its a methadone maintenance clinic, that means people gp there for long periods of time . Go to a detox center if you want a quick path to clean. But ita no fun , I just got out of one this morning so I know.

There is sometimes long waits if your new to recieving treatment. If your patient you will get seen. This place is convenient and located in center of tucson. Its a safe place yes they do have a cop or security guard on premise. The reason they do this is to prevent altercations and sometimes people get aggravated especially the fact that majority are in fact addicts and can get a little crazy. I did in fact recieve treatment i wasnt pushed to switch to methadone. The doctor tailored my plan according to the treatment i had already been revieving and was comfortable continuing what has already been working for me. I see alot of bad reviews but this place is great. It helps you get clean and sober. Plus maintain that! This place is positive and i am very pleased with my experience. Places like this are needed especially when people out there suffering and need the assistance. You also can recieve counseling which is a great combination to helping maintain sobriety. You have to be willing to put the effort into treatment and have them help guide you along the way and be open and honest! This place is a real relief! Thank you all at codac. The nurses were sweet very professional to me and asked me on occasion if i needed anything and if i was doing ok. They also allow you to take drink and food breaks. Hands down five stars. They only dose for meth until 4pm but take emergency on stand by to see a doctor. That can take awhile. The fact its open all night is great and talking to others going through the same thing is great.

All these doctors and staff care about is getting paid. I went thru 5 hours of the intake process to get a referral to a much better IOP & suboxone program however the doctor and director made the decision to refuse my referral and only allow me to get methadone services. Im on a suboxone taper from detox and have a recovery plan that works for me. Dont waste your time with getting help here unless you want liquid handcuffs.

This clinic sucks. It is very unprofessional and I dont feel safe going there. Its so bad they actually have to have an on duty cop in the main room. The bathrooms remain locked unless you ask for permission because so many people used to shoot up in them. Yes there are some people who go there to stay sober, get their medication and be on their way, but the majority of the people there are not there to maintain their sobriety. After dosing they all congregate at the nearest bus stop and spread gossip/sell and do drugs. Its like high school. I was harassed by several members there after breaking up with someone who was also a client. Counselors did nothing until I produced a restraining order. If you know anything about methadone clinics they make lifers out of people, as this clinic aims to do. Terrible place.Edit: I went there a few weeks ago for suboxone treatment. (I had been there previously for methadone treatment). Sat through a 4 hour long intake process and was told to come back 3 days later to see the Dr. She was rude and refused to put me on suboxone saying it wont work for me and pushed methadone instead. I asked her why shed rather me go out and buy more dope than giving the suboxone a try and only shook her head and said Ill be here if you want methadone treatment. Went to a different clinic and was put on suboxone immediately and guess what? ITS WORKING AND KEEPING ME SOBER. Screw this place

This place sucks, they say they are there to help you get back to a normal sober life but actions speak louder than words. They refuse to accommodate your work schedule which means if you end up having to work late you are going to be screwed, today I showed up 4 mins peior to close which was at 3:56 and they refused to give me my daily dose of medication which basically means I have to jepordize my sobriety and freedom to feel well for the night after working a double shift, you would think they would go out of their way for those who are working and trying to better themselves. I could understand if I didnt have a job and was late but I have my work schedule in my phone and can prove that I was working. They have no clue what their clients have to go through that they do this to. If your doors are still open you shouldnt be able to turn your clients away especially when they are the reason the state and federal government funds them and their paychecks. ****UPDATE**** I have now been put on a 10 day detox due to them having me dose in the afternoon(1:00-4:30pm) and I work at 1:30pm and there is ALWAYS at 20-30 min wait due to how many people are waiting to dose when they start the afternoon dosing. I was told due to my many missed doses and dirty drug tests that I am being taken off their program. Im not on a high enough dose to hold me for more than 24 hours so if I do not dose for the day I go through withdrawls, so yes I used the days I missed my dose due to the conflict with my work schedule and their lack of competence to realize the problem they have caused me even though I showed them my schedule numerous times and it changed nothing. I would advise anyone seeking methadone treatment to go elsewhere, I wouldnt go here u less I had absolutely no other options available. You would think they would help people who are working because its part of staying off of drugs.

I have been coming here since December 2017 this is the first time today I had to wait in line twice because I had a ua to do. I think that is very unfair, I already waited in line, then to come in have to do a ua and then go back outside to wait in line again. Your system is unfair, you really need to figure things out.
