My fiance and I have been trying to contact Miranda Maxwell for over 2 weeks now. (also tried when his daughter was in therapy the first time a few months ago).Neither of us wanted details of the therapy. I had an ROI but the mother called to cancel it so I couldnt have details... even though the father could easily access those same records. I only wanted to know how to be better for these kids. The mother tells us all the time how the kids are suffering because of us and we are having such a hard time understanding what were doing wrong. How can we fix something that no one will talk to us about?

Shelly and Nicole are amazing! They have been helping my nieces for years. They’re always willing to do whatever possible and consistently go above and beyond. My nieces think very highly of them so much so that I think it’s safe to say that they genuinely love and care for them. Those feelings are obviously mutual. Life for them would be much, much different if it wasn’t for the support of Valley, their programs, personnel and their services.Valley is making a lasting positive impact within our community. I recommend reaching out to them if you or your family members could benefit from their services.Thank you for what you are doing for those in need within our community!

I have liked Valley ever since I have started going there. There have been 2 receptionists there that has really put a wonderful face for Valley. The first one I met has been retired for several years, but the second one is very pleasant and gets her job done. As far as the therapists go, I have had too many than I would have preferred to have and each time you go to a different therapist, you basically have to start over. Other than that particular negative, I have had great therapists that have worked with my needs. Overall, I think Valley is a great company.

Valley Behavioral Health has been an amazing part of my life. I remember every office face and every therapist I have seen for both family and personally. Their programs have been a major part of my daily life and have made me a better and safer person for myself. Shelly and Nicole are who I am currently with, each of them are amazing and have been so impactful on my life. Without them I would be entirely lost. The service at Valley has been exceptional. Through every challenge they are there for me and my family. Love this place!

My family has been utilizing Valley Behavioral Health for about 6 years now. The people there are very kind. They genuinely care about their clients. They work hard to do anything in their power to help if you have a problem. They go above and beyond. Its not just counseling. Its a family. They take time to call and ask how you, as the parent or guardian, is doing. They have helped my family find resources during hard times, food, clothes, furniture, housing. They try to help your family succeed. We have seen a few different counselors at valley, they all have good qualities and offer a variety of personalities to help you feel comfortable. We keep going back to Nicole. I would personally recommend her to anyone. She is so good with my teens. She knows just how to talk to them and help them walk through their issues.

Nicole was a great therapist and very understanding. She taught mindfulness and grounding techniques. Shes one of the best therapists Ive ever went to. Sadly I wasnt able to see her anymore. She also recommended respite which was a great experience for me. My respite leader was named Shelly and she was so kind and caring. I miss respite a lot and I recommend it for anyone that qualifies.

Nicole is a great therapist, she has helped my family immensely. Nicole is patient and understanding. She works with the child on the level they are at and helps them work through the issues they are going through. Nicole makes you feel loved, safe and cared for. I would recommending taking your child to her.

They were able to help my older kids with therapy and through there respite groups. Shelly became like a second mom to my daughter and my son love doing things with Garrett and Marcus during respite. Nicole is a great therapist who continues to help with my ADHD child and Kathy is great with handling his medicine and making sure he has the ones that work well for him. I highly recommend this place.

Ive been receiving care almost exclusively from the Tooele location beginning in 2001 as a teenager to now. Overall, my experience has been great. Ive found most therapists to be caring and profession.My Mental Health Care has developed and improved. My personal downside is the therapists have had a high turnover rate. The two APRNs available are friendly, though I do not receive care from them. Office staff Ive interacted with over the years has varied. There have been and are great office staff. Though there are a few very unpleasant office staff that sour client experiences.Through my years, I have been fairly satisfied with receiving services through the Tooele Valley Behavioral Health. My thoughts are they need more staff to adequately handle the work needed in Tooele.

Couldn’t ever find a therapist that stuck. But staff was super nice and respectful and always willing to help out where they could. Their respite program was amazing! Shelly is an amazing woman and definitely made a huge impact on myself and many others through the years I was there.

My daughter was active in Valleys respite services in Tooele. The respite leader Shelley was so amazing with her group of girls and she was very discreet and kept things private so that the girls information was protected. My daughter always looked forward to respite night and I will always appreciate Shelly for the role model she was to my daughter and the help she was to me. I am so thankful our therapist offered us this service.

Although I was skeptical, everyone that I have talked to has been compassionate and understanding. Nicole is an incredible children’s therapist and I highly recommend her for children, both in a professional and personal capacity.Yes, there is quite a bit of intake paperwork, but I would rather them have more information about how they can help, than less info.

When I came to Valley I was at my lowest point in life. I had lost everything, my family, my kids, my home and my freedom. Through treatment and the amazing support of the staff I have built my relationships with my family, my kids are back in my life and I am no longer homeless. I now work in recovery helping others that are experiencing the same things I did and I owe it all to the amazing program they have at Valley.

We love Valley Behavioral. Nicole and Kathy have made a huge difference in my sons behavior. Id never go anywhere else! The secretary is also the best! Overall valley behavioral childrens unit is 100 out of 100!

I’ve been going here for quite awhile and my therapist Nicole is a wonderful person and has really helped me. Shelly is a great respite worker and has also helped me tons through the years. Really appreciate this place.

Shelly brown is the best respite provider Ever. She does so good with kids and always makes sure they get the love they deserve. She never favorites anyone. If I could do respite my whole life I’d do it with Shelly. If you get your kid into respite at valley please ask for Shelly. (:

Nicole is fantastic & I wouldnt trust anyone else to be my childrens therapist. We trust her and believe the care she provides is the best possible care for our kids. Well definitely continue going here!

Highly recommend this place they helped me in so many positive ways. And group therapy is amazing as well. These guys really care and take the time to listen. So 5/5 for this place.

I love clubhouse! It is always so warm and inviting and the staff are friendly and awesome!! I love coming to clubhouse and seeing everyone. Clubhouse helps me and I love helping out or just coming up to see everyone

I have received some of the most honest care and support from the staff. They were so helpful. I trusted them completely.

I’ve been greatly blessed by my experiences with the Tooele County Outpatient Clinic! The staff has been knowledgeable and supportive each step of the way. They are friendly and caring.

We love Nicole and Shelly so much! They are so kind and understanding and so much fun! We always look forward to seeing them! They’re amazing and so helpful!

My children love there counselors with valley. They look forward to talking to them every time. I have not had any problems with them.

Valley Mental Health has changed my life! I am so thankful for them. My therapist treats me with respect and professionalism. I would highly recommend them!

Watch out for these guys. They do not respect HIPAA. They will refuse to treat you unless you sign a blank release of information from. I would advise contacting an attorney before signing anything with them.That is not even bringing up the front end staff that is extremely rude and condescending. Learn who you work with before you hire people that consider themselves better than people with mental illness.

My son and I love our LCSW Nicole. She is amazing to work with. Im enjoying the telehealth visits and the ease of scheduling. Her demeanor is soothing and she is able to communicate with children in a very polite, respectful and positive manner.

We have always received great service at Valley. They are very kind and caring, and do their best to take care of your needs.

The child therapist are amazing. My kids love there therapist.. they help with everything . Anxiety , ADHD and other mental illness’s. They do a amazing job.

There have been MAJOR improvements to the services in Tooele over the last several years! The therapists are knowledgeable, and genuinely care about all of the clients. The staff are all friendly and knowledgeable. Valley truly cares about each and every member of the community, regardless of their specific issues- every member of the community deserves respect, support, and quality care! Valley is committed to providing that!

The lady at the reception area was very kind and I just met with Mike today for my first appointment. He was very positive and upbeat, he didnt treat me like a wounded puppy like people usually do, he treated me with common respect as an adult and he made me feel very comfortable. He honestly listened and gave very helpful feedback. He made it easy to talk to him and made the experience definitely worthwhile. There is allot of bad reviews about this place but it was an amazing experience for me and I feel allot safer and peace of mind because of him.

I had a crisis and needed someone to talk too immediately. I went to valley behavioral heath in tooele. I was able to speak to Heidi Warr right then. She was wonderful. Not only did she listen but she was so caring and understanding. I went in unable to stop crying and came out laughing. Thank you Heidi. You really made a difference.

My psychiatrist works wonderfully. Im in and out in less than 20 minutes with very wonderful medications and easy to understand explanations on what the medications do and how to see bad signs. She also makes me feel familiar and comfortable. My only problem is that my clinical therapist doesnt work the way I need her too. All i want are tools to work with and maybe get stuff off my chest and to be given advice. She does too much emotional comforting and I find that useless when Im facing my everyday routine. I go to her just so I can go to my psychiatrist and I have learned far my form personal studies and my college psychology class than from her.

If I could give this place negative stars I would. I recently went in to make an appointment to see a therapist per my surgeons requests as I am about to have MAJOR surgery and emotional help is needed after to help with the healing and dealing with the new aspects of my life. I didnt want to travel from Tooele to the U of U every time so I wanted something local. First I would like to point out that I have seen therapists in my past for a verity of reasons and had no problem just calling and setting up an appointment, even for first time visits. However this facility would NOT allow me to make an appointment over the phone and demanded I come in and fill out an application. As odd as I thought this was and as rude as the girl was on the phone, I shrugged it off as just company policy and a grumpy employee (everyone has bad days right?) Then I proceeded to ask the lady I was speaking with what I needed to bring with me to make my appointment AND if they had any PSYCHIATRISTS that specifically work with people for the type of medical procedure I will be having. I was then told, I needed my ID, My insurance, proof of income and proof of residency and that they didnt have any psychiatrists that specialize in that surgery but that they had a few different ones that I could get scheduled to see and that I can walk in and fill out the application M-T from 9am to 3pm and after I fill that out I will be scheduled immediately after.. SO!!! after speaking to this employee, I came in the next morning and told the front desk lady the SAME information I had given to the lady on the phone. NOW the front desk women then says okay so thats mental health heres your paperwork, please fill it out completely and we will be right with you. I spend the next HOUR filling out paperwork that DOES NOT apply to me. For example: Medicaid enrollments, substance abuse. historys and help!! I HAVE INSURANCE, I HAVE NO SUBSTANCE ABUSE HISTORY NOR DO I NEED HELP FOR IT!!! soo WHY am I being forced to fill out a ton of papers about it! They legitimately MADE me fill it out, when I tried to explain I dont need those services they didnt care at all. NOW my paperwork is FINALLY done!! Do I get scheduled like I was told I would be.. NO... I get told to wait some more.. I now wait an additional 25 minutes for some other lady to come out and take us into a new room. The second my butt sat in the chair this lady looks at me and says well I can try to get you an appointment BUT these things typically need a psychiatrist and we dont have ANY at this facility so I dont know if your surgeon will pass it off.....As I am sure you can imagine I was rather irritated at this point, So I just stood up and told her everything that happened and that I find it ludicrous that it took this long for someone to tell me this after ALL the information I had given and the time I had wasted and that her employees need to be better trained if this is the obvious lack of communication you people have. She proceeded to stare at me like a deer in headlight as we walked out of the building. NOW I have also found out that a close family member to me who has sever low functioning autism had been going here for his therapy needs and they had him set up with a therapist whos NEVER worked with ANY form of handicapped person and this moronic decision has made his situation SO much worse. PLEASE IF YOU NEED HELP DO NOT GO TO THIS GARBAGE DUMP!!!! there are THOUSANDS of better options throughout the state and I will gladly be driving out to the U OF U for my needs now. I feel horrible for the people who have things worse off then me and try to get help from here, They have harmed more than theyve ever helped. I am 100% positive on that!

Im writing this post on behalf of the resource center of tooele the food bank !! if none of you know a few years back Valley Behavioral health took over responsibility of the food bank and resource center the last few years the company has not done what they said they were going to do and have let the community down as well as numerous employees who are now being bullied to the point of being pushed out of their positions within the company from children counselor to case workers to janitorial all with complaints to HR in which they turn a blind eye to each one of the problems each of these employees who have been working in the community for 10 plus years or more!! higher up supervisors as well as managers refuse to talk to the employees or work anything out valley behavioral in my mind now is out for profit instead of helping the community we are losing great people who have been nothing but dedicated to the community and resource center who have gone beyond what they are paid for new people are being hired on making a lot more than the people that were bullied out!!! Our community needs the resource center and food bank voice your opinions because if nothing happens they get away with corporate bullying our community loses a valuable resource not to mention the valuable workers that are left!!! I for one believe this is so wrong on so many levels !!! SHAME ON YOU VALLEY BEHAVIORAL HEALTH!!!!

I would put 0 stars if I could this place is an absolute jokeMy therapist was kind but I’ve been needing paper work (1 letter!) for months and nobody will return my phone calls, the people I need to speak to are never in the office, and the people who are in the office ‘can’t help me’. I’m about to have court again because of the first time around it took me several months to receive paperwork and turning it in and it ended up not even being the correct papers!I’m beyond frustrated and have severe anxiety about my upcoming court since no one seems to want to help me.I keep being told to ‘just come in’ but I’m a stay at home mom with two Under 2 and I can’t just go wherever whenever.Besides that’s I shouldn’t have too. This is extremely inconvenient and frustrating and I hope someone will help me after I post this review.

Unfortunately after four months of working with this company as a client I am finally right back where I started; a new father and fiancé searching for relationship counseling to help my soon to be wife and I be more loving and our new family have a stronger bond. What they’ve done is successfully strengthened the relationship between my fiancé and I due to our persevering through them slowly pulling us apart and pinning us against each other. By the end of it we both stopped listening to them and started listening to each other more. I don’t trust this place much anymore. It seems to me that they treat everyone like drug addicts and don’t have much priority for anything else. I could definitely still benefit from relationship counseling though. Any Suggestions?

I love clubhouse

Absolutely the worst experience I have ever had with an admin. I did not feel welcome, I did not feel cared for. These people have chosen an utterly rude and inconsiderate staff to be the first faces you see when you walk in. If I were to go into detail about the level of rage induced by my experience with Valley Mental Health I could publish it as a novel. I shudder to think of the people who are worse off than myself that have come here for help and been met with the same level of disinterest, unprofessionalism, and impoliteness. You can find better help than these people, I promise you. Seeking counsel from a dog would be a more productive experience.

0 stars not very helpful at all, I told them my problems and they were no help at all. They give you allergy medicine for anxiety and ptsd. Not much help, they dont prescribe benzos which is understandable because they have a lot of addicts that go there. I am not a drugie for benzo, I use klonpin for my psychological seizures I have had in my past, and for my phobias and ptsd. I dont abuse it at all, I have used it for all the right reason! I know benzo are not the best of class of drugs but on extrem cases for ptds, sorry your allergy medicine they will prescribe wont help! Luckly I worked something out with my psychiatrist, which I could not afford to see. so thats I went to you guys. Luckly he is helping me with the meds I need until my Insurance kicks in.Your super Benadryl is not a substitute for PTSD and panic disorders! I get why you do not want to prescribe benzos, but sometimes it is necessary and was in my situation! You guys are no help for people who have PTSD and people who have psychological seizures! Plus your staff is unfriendly and is very rude. So I hope you guys can be more helpful about the benzo thing for people with PTSD, maybe you guys can actually help out people who are in need for once!What if somebody came in having benzo withdrawals because they could not afford to see there doctor to get a refill. You people would turn them down with no help on getting a refill and you would let that person have a seizure and it would be partially your fault because you dont prescribe the drug that person needed. So you people do not help everybody, and I thought that what a mental health place did. I guess not, think about what I said. sometimes benzo are appropriate to prescribe!
