Dr Mathis is the best orthopedic Dr he has done 3 surgeries on me and will do hip soon .I recovered so well my total knees are great. I have no pain in knees at all. I have spoken to others that went to different Drs and they are still in pain. I was able to walk right after surgery and started therapy the next day in hospital. The staff are great they call back the same day.He is the best knee and hip Dr .

Very disappointed with my first and only visit to Dr Mathis’ office. I had a 3:30pm appointment. At 4:15pm no one had said anything to me - I finally asked why the delay? I was ushered back for a quick x-ray and then to a waiting room where I was told it would be just a few minutes. 30 minutes later I gave up and left. Very disrespectful of my time - at a minimum I would have appreciated a quick phone call letting me know the office was running behind.

Excellent Doctor. Excellent bedside manner, which I greatly appreciate but an excellent orthopedic surgeon. I had a knew arthroscopy to repair a torn meniscus ( minor surgery) & results were fabulous!! I would recommend him & have to any of my friends with knee issues.

Excellent doctor. He is so kind and compassionate and really took the time to listen to me. I was never made to feel rushed or like I was just one of many he had to see. It has been a long time since I found a doctor whith modern education but good old fashioned respect for patients.

Dr. Mathis did my full knee replacement back in 2005. He is meticulous in his work & care. Quick to listen & answer questions. Great bedside manners & handled my pain post surgery as gently as possible at follow-up.Dont get me wrong, knee surgery is painful. After three different surgeries with three different doctors, Dr. Mathis & his associates are the first to try to treat me without causing too much pain.All the doctors at TOSM are great. At one of my follow-up appts, Dr. M could not be there so Dr. Bahrani attended me. He was up to date with my file & he knew about my hospital stay; I didnt have to retell my story to him. He was as gentle as could be just like Dr. Mathis.

Came for an elbow fracture as second opinion. Did not even check it. Did not look at the x-rays provided from the first physician. Did absolutely nothing. At check out I told him I had a fracture. he said , OH I didnt know! Terrible and very disappointing attitude of indifferent, non-involvement, and lack of engagement with the patient.

Do not go to this doctor if you want post op care.

Dr. Mathis is an amazing doctor has a wonderful staff!!
