Joe is the best. He had moved and went on to a different doctor. I would never see anyone but him so glad that I located Joe wand where he is working now. Everyone in this office is so great night and day from where I use to go.

Great Doctors! Dr Joe Knaus let’s me decide with him on my treatment plan, we have a open honest commitment to my care.Dr Balog has done injections which helped quite a bit with my pain levels.I am very appreciative of the care I receive .The nurses are all very responsible respectful and just pleasant.Definitely recommend this practice!

Had 3 visits here. While Joe was nice, the rest of the staff are incompetent. 3 times I called and left a message with their nurse support staff. Not once did I receive a call in return. Their staff had me under the impression that my claims adjuster was at fault for not approving my lumbar injections. This was not the case as the calls were recorded. The first time I called to inquire about the status of the procedure I was told they had not received a response. The second time I was told they needed to speak to the adjuster personally. The third time I left a message, my call was not returned. The fourth time I left a message, my call was not returned. The fifth time I was informed it was not approved yet and they received a call from my adjuster but they were unavailable to take his call at the time and they needed to speak to him for approval. The sixth time my call was not returned. The seventh time I called to cancel all further care as I was switching to a different place. If they get some new staff who actually know how to handle paperwork and return calls I may recommend them as Joe was fantastic and other doctors Ive spoken too said Balog is fantastic at his practice. Your experience may differ if you are using private insurance but I can not garentee that either.

Joe is brilliant and always has answers to any question I have in reference to my health. He is great!

Dr.Balog and his staff are not only very effective & professional, they manage to do this while still being caring. I have been with pain management as a pt. since 1989, in 4 different states(Calif.,Ga.,N.Mex.,Or.).I am also an RN; retired; & knowledgeable about our bodies AND this health system we all have to work within. I myself have experienced the very worst of care right here at Willamette Pain & Spine under the care of a Dr.Andrew Oh & his office (see Yelp).Dr.Balog is the extreme opposite. He & his staff work together with you to achieve your highest level of pain relief; utilizing all the modalities available in modern medicine,science & human motivation to be & live a full contented life.

Joe and Trisha are super friendly and respectful. They make me feel very comfortable discussing my pain issues.

Called to make an appointment and talked to a woman named nicky and the tone she had sounded like she hated her job. She basically sounded like she didnt want to help, didnt listen to the situation I had and basically told me to go somewhere else and I felt scolded for even considering coming to Portland pain and spine. If thats how they treat folks trying to receive help imagine how they treat you when they decided to actually help.

The staff is fantastic and they really care about you & your situation and come up with a plan of action. I do not go there anymore but highly recommend this company to all my friends & family who are in a situation where they need help for pain control, especially Joe... hes the greatest guy and so understanding and funny. Youre not just another face but you become friends with them. Dr. Balog is a very professional doctor and will review your imagery to help make life easier to get around. The good thing aboit them is they can sniff out people who are really in pain compared to those looking to get help for an addiction (abuser of pain medication) so if you are in search of a clinic that does that? Keep looking because their staff is careful but very considerate. I enjoyed the care I recieved while a patient there. Joe and his medical assistants are so sweet. The girls are so helpful and wish I was in the same area of town or I would have never had to leave. A 5 star plus due to the way they also promote natural healing such as CBD to help chronic pain and inform you of all benefits. They do & get updated scientific research on combination of pharmaceutical drugs and CBD that helped my pain very much. Now, I am scrambling to find another clinic as good but so far, no luck when it comes to the way they respect and treat you. Thank you Dr. Balog, Joe Knause and the gals!

I just want people to know how AWSOME this clinic is the staff is kind and compassionate they put you at ease the minute you walk in the door. I have been suffering from chronic lower back pain for about 17 years my Dr retired and I was left with subpar medical care until now Dr. Balog is the greatest Dr he cares about you and your problem. He takes the time in a caring nonjudgmental way he puts you at ease the minute he walks in the room.. if you have chronic pain you need this clinic.

I have been to other clinics and with this clinic they actually listen and answer all my questions and conserns. I m so grateful to be with them.
