They’re good ‘music’ is the absolute worst. They claim to do mental health. But then their hold ‘music’ is a kriffing beep tone. And let me tell you. Community Reach Center, every time I have to call you and am out on hold it makes me want to hurt myself. So maybe you should put in the extra expensive and either use actual music or silence.

The office staff is horrible, I called today to try and schedule and intake appoint for my child, I was given bad information about how to schedule the appointment from the crisis center and while I was trying to figure out how to do it the women hung up on me when I called back, I asked to speak to her manager and she hung up on me again! This is beyond unacceptable! They are supposedly here to help with the communitys mental health needs, I have a hard time believing they can help anyone with anything!

Ive been with community reach for 5 years now but recently its like all of the doctors just up and leave. I had nobody call me to tell me my doctor was leaving and it was a hassle just to try and find a different doctor. I had 2 doctors just up and leave and I was basically stranded to find a new one and than for some reason all of the doctors never have open appointments early enough for people to be seen, I just do not recommend this place anymore.

Extremely disappointed in this program. No one believed me when I told them the therapist they chose for me was out of my network so we kept scheduling appointments. I’ve been thrown around therapist to therapist doctor to doctor for years. And they truly wonder why people with mental health issues don’t seek help.

I have been helped by wonderful thoughtful therapist and group programs in my rehabilitation from my own personal traumatic experiences and I would like to thank all the professional staff members for being warm at entering bthe front door to my entire treatment program which is helping me back on my feet and helping me cope through some really hard times. Im thankful to God for this location and for the amazing staff taking great care of my mental care and stability. My personal therapist Marcy Libeer has been a champion in my mental stabilization and hope that each day I will be ok again. If it werent for her and Dr. Rahm in this facility as my mental care providers, I wouldnt of made it through my pain. So thank you both and thank you to the warm welcome I receive from your front office staff. They are a joy to meet at first greet. They are kind, thoughtful and get back to me when I have an immediate concern. Thank you to all of the receptionist. Its a blessing to go here for my therapy and group sessions. I cannot say enough about how well they treat me as a client. May God bless this faculty with much more success as you are essential important men and women in mental health. With warm thoughts of you all,Denise AquinoA satisfied client.5 hundred stars for your excellent customer service for important men and women learning to live through mental disabilities and have hope for a better world to live in. Ijnip blessings over all your lives forever and ever.Amen🌺

After moving from out of state, It is always tricky at best, to find a mental health provider that has valuable staff. I did have some difficulty during my process. It was managed appropriately by Ryan from the Highline location in Thornton. Overall I believe that I am getting the treatment necessary at this time.

Just like standardized testing. If they cannot evaluate and measure the positive difference they make.in your life, qualitatively or quantitatively they see no reason to keep you on. I informed staff of how not only valuable but beneficiary the sessions were but because we could not set a measurable goal the decision was to discharge me. I cant afford sessions at 60 to 180 dollars an hour otherwise. I have 4 children and a household to support.

I was Diagnosed with PTSD and borderline personality disorder due to Trumatic trauma I was going to here for my therapy and psychiatrist (medications prescribing doctor). I was with my psychiatrist until she left the practice. Upon getting my new psychiatrist I was not happy as she was more about a physical health check up; coming from a family first nurse practitioners position. And/or she was just judgmental due to my weight from my actual medical conditions. I let the facility know that I was not happy with her and that I would like to switch providers as that is a federal law if you do not like the provider that you are working with even at a hospital you can request to change within the facility. Dr. Connors was the doctor that my therapist had to contact and let him know that I was requesting a change on top of me calling the nurses line. Dr. Connors stated that I had to stay with her and if I wanted to change providers I had to leave the practice. I am now in the process of doing interviews and reporting’s with D.O.R.A. And the BBB as well as Healthfirst Colorado as I already knew and let Community reach kno of the laws, all three outside entities let me know that I was correct and it is against the law for them to not at least give me the opportunity to switch providers within the facility. Either way if you have an option to go to somewhere else this definitely isn’t the place that you want to be!

If you are a Father seeking counseling for your Daughter/Son and you are divorced from the Mother I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE. They make you jump through hoops just for your child to get treatment. Granted that, that in itself isnt a terrible thing, but they include the child in these discussions and are extremely unprofessional. If you are a Mother seeking treatment for your child, its a completely different experience and do not need anything from the Father.

I am astonished that Im even having to write this right now. When you see a location with a strongly negative review score what do you typically think? I know I personally think surely those are outliers that had a bad experience and its uncommon to have such an experience. Then I became a patient here. My assigned psychiatrist from day one was telling me about changes she planned on making over time, with a huge emphasis on getting me off existing medications that fall under the controlled substance label, aka the ones that work most consistently with the most potency, but can be abused.I am not an abuser. I am a person who needs medication to try and lead a normal life. But by the way she spoke, it was obvious she wasnt looking at a patient who needs medication, she was looking at an excel spreadsheet and likely has a personal agenda of getting patients off controlled substances to make her look better to employers.I went into my appointment today with a minor personal agenda of asking for a larger dosage of one of the non-restricted medications she prescribed me. When I told her I experienced better responsiveness in my system by taking more than I am currently allotted per day, she looked at me as if I was a murderer. She immediately told me that if I did that again I would be discharged, and that in order for me to remain a patient i have to maintain that trust relationship and follow her dosages. Now, does this make sense? Yes. It does make sense to follow dosages and maintain trust. However, this came directly after i explained to her WHY I was using more (because it worked better for my mental health) and there was absolutely nothing about my intentions that said I didnt trust her, or anything malicious like I was abusing it. In fact, it was a medication that is nearly impossible to abuse - because from what she told me directly, I wasnt anywhere near the end of the safe dosage and It was safe up to nearly 4x what I am taking. Apparently my taking a little bit more than prescribed is enough to make her threaten immediate discharge. Then she went through my medications with me, one of which was for anxiety attacks, a commonly used controlled medication called clonazepam. I have been on a minimum dosage for this medication for years, and it works exactly as intended. I rarely need it, but when I need it I usually immediately need it to prevent or lessen anxiety attacks. This medication has been prescribed to me by my normal doctor for years, and we have been in the process of transferring all my meds to my Community Reach Center psychiatrist just to make sure everything is lined up correctly. This is where things went from bad to abysmal. I told her I have been out of that medication for a couple months and I have thankfully not needed it, but the refill was important as anxiety attacks often happen without rhyme or reason to them and I wanted to be prepared.No. Instant, immediate dismissal of what I had said. She would not be refilling that medication. She said she would increase the dosage on the medication I asked for an increased dosage on, and that would have to be enough for the anxiety. When I explained that the two medications did not serve the same function (why would I have to be the one to explain this to a medical professional?) She immediately dismissed it and told me that she does not allow any patient to have more than one controlled substance, and she told me that instead of relying on medication I needed therapy and to figure out self-help techniques instead. She told a patient who needs medication to just fix it yourself. She told a patient who has been to the ER from crippling, brutal panic attacks, learn self help. She told a patient who has never abused a medication in his life and is just trying to be happy and healthy, see a therapist.I was astonished. I didnt bother saying anything further, because you know when trying to reason with someone wouldnt go anywhere.I went to a mental health center to feel better, and came out feeling much, much worse.

This is nothing short of a methadone distribution facility. In the waiting room, a homeless woman walked up to every patient seated asking to use their phone- to call around asking friends for a place to live. While she made all these calls, she got more and more agitated and her language became foul, violent and full of threats- including a threat about coming to their home with a gun. The staff nor anyone present intervened or said anything. Finally, after the kind man who offered his phone asked for it back she spat on him and asked openly for a cigg from anyone in the waiting room. It is a very uncomfortable environment; I would genuinely suggest going to the ER over here under any circumstance.

My actual experience with a councilor is fine. but the customer service for the community reach center on Huron is terrible. the ladies at the desk are usually snotty. and i was on hold for an hour and ten minutes today to see when my next appointment was. after being on hold for an hour you dont realize a real person had answered and said hello. she only said hello once and after i did not respond within the first two seconds she hung up on me. and i had to start the whole process over again. after being on hold the second time for a another thirty minutes i just gave up entirely. if you are going to leave someone on hold for over an hour than you need to spend more than two seconds to make sure that they are still on the line. they just waited an hour for you.

Their is no consistency they will put blatant opinion and lies in your chart not site it correctly, not follow procedure, Degrade and disparage you if you have ADHD, Anxiety, PTSD run they will not help you. I got better care at Keiser permanente than this place. I have tried 4 different providers one was good and he left the rest were horrible. The Thorton offices are just horrific.

04/16/2021:Since Covid hit I’ve had an abundance of problems with this location specifically the building located on the north side- The pharmacy is wonderful and I would like to continue going to them however the ratchet women at the front desk working for Community Reach Center or atrocious deal with. On several occasions I have gotten into petty power trips with the front desk letting me into the building. I don’t know what happened to these women that hurt them so bad they feel the need to take what little power using the buzzer to unlock the door has given them over people seeking to get their mental health prescriptions filled but it is sick. (They should consider seeking therapy themselves smh)This is happened several times to me but today specifically, I came wearing a bandanna around my neck to use as a face mask. They would not unlock the door and buzz me in until I put the bandanna over my face. I told them that I was perfectly fine with having my constitutional rights violated, and I wouldabide by their wishes. I would pull the bandanna up over my mouth and nose to use as a facial covering, as soon as they unlock the doo. I was not putting a face mask on while I was outside and around nobody. I made it clear I will put the facemask on before I enter the building. They simply refused. The office was empty of clients and all employees were behind plastic barriers. I was not within 6 feet of anybody and wearing a facial covering in the situation is absolutely pointles.[UPDATE/ EDIT 06/13/2020]I’m changing this review. People have the opportunity and potential to change themselves for the better, that is what self-help services exist for. So, if one believes in that concept enough to attend therapy, than why should a company/ organization not be eligible for the same opportunity?I’ve continued to work with CRC and they have been willing to put up with me. They understand that I’m learning and if I miscommunicate my actions are not malicious, rather sympathetic. I feel I have fallen in place with a well qualified treatment team and plan. I am hopeful to see what positivity CRC will bring, not only to my life, but to our community as a whole.(Special thanks to Caroline W.-Z.)[IMPROVEMENTS & SUGGESTIONS]One thing that CRC can improve on is not only allowing, but encouraging clients to have a say in the providers that they see. This is a vital aspect to success in treatment. Having bureaucratic rules, and unmalleable standers, hinders rather than helps. As long as an individual is willing to engage, there is hope. That’s all it takes, from their progress can be made. However, assigning a client to a Med provider, and when the client expresses that they are not clicking, or would like to change, that should be honestly and sincerely considered. From my experience, at this time, it is not a possibility whatsoever.Along with encouraging clients to have a say in their treatment plan, clients input should be considered by the prescribing doctors. Every person is unique, and has unique experiences. Just because somebody may have a history of substance abuse, should not automatically, be a cut and dry, result in a denial for certain medications. For example, Community Reach Center will not prescribe anyone with a history of substance abuse any stimulant-based ADD medication. Regardless of their DOC or personal experience and successes.CRC could loosen up! Perhaps, honestly, consider taking some psychedelics on your next team bonding event.Food for thought; I would not eat food from a restaurant rated 2.2 stars on Google, so why would I trust my mental health to a provider with a 2 star rating....The scary thing is that two stars is not what CRC deserves. The services I was provided are worth 1/5 stars...

I have been getting help there for over two years and Id definitely recommend this place. I go to the center In Northglenn and know very little about the others. In NM I was with the same counselor for over 11yrs and with 2 different psychiatrist for over 12 years. They were all amazing!!. Because of this Im Very picky about who I see and how well they do. Yes the wait time can be very long but not because theyre on their cell phones. My counselor and Dr. Selim rate up there with previous treatment. No one has been as fantastic as my counselor in NM but I doubt if anyone ever will. I would recommend this place to anyone and in fact someone I told to go here has been going there for almost a year and really likes the svc and treatment hes hes gotten.

Got a referral for them in the beginning of August to try and get help with medication for my son. Didnt want to put him into another therapy (he has three separate services already), but they initially said he needs to be seen there twice a month, we said no thank you. After numerous calls from them (mostly trying to set up his therapy appointments), we are told he can be approved for meds only, so we set up an intake appointment. Finally at this appointment in early October, the intake person (like most who weve dealt with here) didnt know about my son being approved for meds only, but is nice enough and works to try and find a doctors appointment - the only times available are 10am or 2pm, both times when kids are in school! After an hour at the intake appointment (which my son had to be present for, but the intake person never once spoke to), we go home still pretty wary. After a few days we get a call saying that he is not approved for meds only. Thanks so much Community Reach for wasting our time.

If you are willing to talk & try to explain what you are feeling even if you maybe dont know, they will help you. You have to take that first step and know its a safe place with people who choose to be there for you in you time of need-multi tramtic situations, extreme anxiety & a 3rd failed sucide PTSD & bipolar patient. But you have to be honest knowing they do not judge you. They truly care & have so many services to help even you! Sometimes my therapy times is all I look forward to. But the most important thing I can tell you is to trust & be honest so they can truly help you. Yes sometimes its busy because most of us could use some help.
