Do not sign a contract with these people. They told me there’d be no cancellation fee if I moved & when I did, they refused to even allow me to cancel the contract without coming in. Then when I did, they said I could just email them. They want $200 to cancel a contract they verbally attempt to change every time I get ahold of them. And for what it’s worth, the gym is decent at a decent price. You might as well get something better or go to Anytime Fitness.

This gym is top tier!!! The gym is always sanitized, and perhaps even that word is underselling it; it is immaculate. Youll be able to tell from the moment you walk in that the staff really cares about everyone and invests into them. There is a great vibe inside and everyone that goes there is respectable and upbeat. Love this place!!

Came in because it was close to our hotel. One day pass is $15 and that’s a little expensive, however, the people are nice, the gym hasn’t been filled to capacity the couple times I’ve been in, and it’s a nice clean place. If I lived in Denver, I’d go here. Customer service goes above and beyond, they genuinely seem to care about you. Highly recommend.

I had been a member of a variety of gyms in Colorado and California throughout my life. Powerhouse Gym is bar none the best gym ever! It doesnt matter what shape, size or fitness level that you come in; Powerhouse is for you! No joke this gym is open 24/7 and have the gym equipment you need. The Powerhouse employees and owners are amazing folks who are very knowledgeable, helpful and passionate in what they do which makes Powerhouse so great. When the staff and owners are not busy helping out their members. They are cleaning up and keeping the gym organized. This place could easily pass a white glove inspection by how well it is maintained. If you are looking for a personal trainer talk to one of the Triple Js (Jeff, Jacqueline & Jessica). They seriously care about their clients achieving their fitness goals and the Triple Js are incredible people to be around. Jeff has been training me for almost three months and Im loving the results of my body!I feel so healthy and happy! Thank you Jeff! If you follow the rules, pay your dues, be respectful and clean up after yourself; you will have a good time here. You should get a tour of Powerhouse to see what this place is truly about.

Great gym for elite powerlifters and casual lifters alike. They have all the equipment I could ever need and its laid out nicely. Theres even an area where you could push a sled, do plyometrics, wind sprints or whatever it is you wanna do. Would highly recommend!

I Signed up recently and went through a bump in the road with my membership for another person on the account within a week of signing up for the membership. The owners Jeff and his Wife Jacqueline assisted me through other options to help me out with the membership and in the same token to give this gym the business signing up my nephew. On the upscale of keeping this gym clean, they clean this gym daily and make sure all the machines and gym floors are up to par on cleanliness. The whole Staff is legit and are straight fwd. Jeff, Jacqueline, Steve, Jessica, and Natasha are straight up with everyone and they take care of this gym for all of us who use it! I was with Lifetime and 24s for the longest time and after joining powerhouse, no way I’m going back to Those gyms. This gym treats you like family 🤙🏻 Not going around and policing. Main thing, you take care of the gym and they’ll take care of you! People come in and do there $h!t and leave, that’s how it should be. Keep it up PowerHouse Gym Thornton! The gym is great; but when you try to cancel a membership, they give you the run around. I moved earlier this year and requested that my membership be cancelled. I asked that this be done in May and I’m still being charged (six months later). I emailed the manager more than five times and called, all to no avail. In addition, if you’re a military member, they claim you can cancel without a fee—this was not my experience. The only way I was able to cancel was through my bank. I recommend finding a different gym.

Great locally owned gym. Big free weights area and plenty of machines for isolation workouts. 2 Squat racks + a separate deadlifting platform. Everybody respects the equipment and re-racks their weights. Usually go around lunch and never too busy. Never have to wait for equipment either. Fantastic gym

He and his wife run this gym and you can tell its not a corporate conglomerate wanting to force you into a contract you can not get out; Or who are pushy and start to act funny at the sign of customer reluctance EH EHM! FITNESS) They offer freezing your account because they understand life happens.Jeff took time to show me around and demonstrated top level customer service communicating the aspects of the gym and other perks; such as 24/7 availability to workout. Steve is a friend of the owner and assist in the day to day elements and it shows. Great customer service and you could tell pretty cool to be around. I felt bad I could not sign up today but I WILL BE returning.The gym is exceptionally clean and WELL maintained, not like those days of old were there is chalk all over and individuals yelling because the weight is too heavy. I HIGHLY recommend this gym for vacationers who visit Colorados gorgeous landscape and Im sure (dont assume he will I just think he is that type of personal find every way to accommodate costumes) Jeff will comodate you economically and set you up with a pass for the time youre here Supplying your fitness needs.Others, those who eat the gym this is your spot.

Was a member for about 2 years, started with the 1 year contract and then proceeded with the monthly basis. After getting injured I contacted 2 employees in person to make sure my membership was terminated since I wasnt on a contract anymore. That was over 6 months ago, today I just received a collection from a third party for almost 200 dollars.... I never received a phone call from powerhouse billing. My number never change and neither did my address. I even have audio of the employees saying they terminated my account. Monthly non contract status is when I ended my account. Now youre sending it to my credit for what? 200 dollars? For what? I never billed anything to the account such as drinks or shirts. I was a loyal member that always paid my bill every month and yet when your employees lie and say the monthly membership was terminated youre going to send me to collections with no bill, no explanation of what the cost was! It was Monthly NON CONTRACT

This place is awesome. Not only is it 24 hour access but its always clean. Never have trouble using the equipment, even during peak hours. Members are friendly and willing to share. Feels like a community. They added some new equipment thats helped really key in my workouts. Most importantly, they have the best staff out there. Ive been to all the big box gyms and an MMA gym and this is as close to family as it gets. No matter what time I go I feel I belong there and so does my wife and our child. They have a child care for when youre working out, which our daughter loves. Theyre great with her and she actually asks if we can go all the time. We couldnt ask for any better from a gym. Ive noticed they have a sense of community and bring people together and encourage and inspire

Careful about canceling the membership.The gym is fine. Quality of the equipment and people matches the monthly fees.As someone who works in the tech industry I find the cancellation process crazy! I emailed multiple addresses they used to contact me in the past, I sent a Facebook message. No reply, even though I saw that they’ve read it. Called the gym and they said I have to cancel in person, there are paperwork to fill out. Okay, I signed up online, they’ve even emailed me before to take a picture of my card when the old one expired. So why can’t they cancel my membership digitally?Now to the “paperwork”. I haven’t been to the gym in three months since I moved to Fort Collins. I didn’t cancel the plan because I forgot about it, which was my fault, I didn’t even bring it up when I was there. But after an hour and a half drive to the gym from Ft Collins, I find out that the paperwork is also crazy! The guy asked me for my name, pulls up my info on a screen. (Screen was facing me so I saw a bunch of other people’s personal info too. No care to protect client’s privacy). Then asked me to write down my name again on a piece of paper, my address, the date (twice) and the reason why I need it canceled. That’s it! And that can’t be done from an email?Oh and I will be charged for next month’s fees too. Because by the time I got there, it was only 10 dates before the next bill is due and they needed a 30 days notice to get their cancellation affairs in order. So I guess here’s another month’s fee for “improvements” to the gym. Speaking of improvements, I wonder if they’ll charge me for the annual “ENHANCE FEE”. Which last I remembered was due at the end of the year. Can you imagine?In a world where everything is a subscription, this gym’s cancellation process is too much for a mere mortal like me to comprehend. Let me go read the Netflix terms real quick to see if they also need an additional month after cancellation.

First off staff for this facility are outstanding and the new owners and how they take care of this place is top notch. After the renovations its really opened the floor up and made the atmosphere to the gym feel a lot better. The place is 24 hours and the equipment is in near perfect shape still. Overall a really wonderful gym with wonderful people running it!

Great gym. Staff is cool as hell, the owners are very knowledgeable about everything from what exercise to do and how to do the exercise all the way to how to shape up your diet. The members are all super friendly and respectful. I have never had an issue getting a certain machine or spot in the gym, even at peak times after work. You can always find a piece of equipment because the members actually put them back where they belong (Unlike members at VASA and Chuze.) If youre looking for a gym with a very friendly atmosphere and not a corporate atmosphere, I would come here.

Been going there for a year and its small but does the job as its more private and the 24 hours makes it easy to get in a workout even if its late. The owner has solved previous problems Ive encountered by phone and waived fees which definately wouldnt have happened at other gyms. I recommend this place as Ive had a excellent experience here

Canceled membership two months ago. They told me I needed to get them paperwork for the cancellation. I did last month. Since my cancellation Ive been charged for 2 months. Also the gym and Thornton is very small and very overcrowded if it wasnt for us moving out of state we would have canceled the membership anyway. Now nobody will return our email our call or our message on their Facebook page. Even though they seen the message on their Facebook page still no reply. Apparently canceling your membership with powerhouse is nearly impossible. if our account is not reimbursed for the membership for this month by the end of the week we will have our bank take appropriate action which may include wirefraud.

This is the BEST GYM! Not intimidating for anyone. Always clean. Staff are really supportive of your goals and ask how ur workouts are going. They do cool stuff like fit challenges. Love this place!

The $20 youll spend on this membership each month can get you a membership through Vasa, Planet Fitness or many other facilities. This gym is too small and doesnt have sufficient equipment, so expect to spend most of your time waiting for machines or equipment. I signed up with the small gym because I need an environment in which I am comfortable but with just a couple of people working out theres a crowd. Plus customer service is horrible in person and over the phone.SERIOUSLY ADVICE EVERYONE TO GO WITH ANY OTHER GYM BESIDES THIS ONE.

Was a member for a year while living in the area.Good range of equipment for lifting, and cardio.Always saw the gym being cleaned. Gym was cared for. Equipment frequently wiped down by members and staff.When I brought a billing issue to their attention it was resolved quickly and courteously.Would still be a member if not for moving away.

Downgraded my review while the place is convenient. But recently cancelled my membership. No fault of theirs but still BS cancelling process. You have to agree to a year or however long whatever but after You have to show up in person to sign a paper like its not the 21 century and on top of that even after youve cancelled theyll still charge you another month just because. . So you can still access the gym I dont want to access the gym which is why Im cancelling my damn membership.

Not the best experience when trying to cancel but I’m editing my review. Went into the gym, Jeff and his staff made it right. I appreciate the help!ADDING to my review!!! When I spoke with Jeff on March 18, 2019, I offered to pay my last bill but he waived it for me due to bad customer service. I confirmed 2 times with 2 different managers that they are waving my last fee. I even asked Jeff if they will send me to collections and he assured me they would not. Jeff offered 30 days free but I declined. I have the receipt from when I spoke with him so why am I getting a collection notice in the mail 4 months later?

Power House Update - This place has truly gone down hill. I am at a loss for words as they still have not replaced their broken down equipment. Last week my daughter was running on a treadmill that shut down on her during her run. This is dangerous and somebody is going to get hurt on this equipment. I have had the same issue with various treadmills and the owner, Jeff, told me I could run out doors. I pay for a gym membership for a reason and expect to have safe equipment to work out on.

Husband and I have been attending this gym for about 2 years now. Love that we can get access, even if the staff isn’t there. There are plenty of cardio machines, free weights are usually taken up/pretty busy during the week after work. It’s always clean, and so are the bathrooms. They started offering child care for those people who have kids. They do seem to shut down some main lights, TVs, and music after 8pm. Music isn’t such a big deal since most people wear their headphones. Parking lot is on the smaller side and no lines for the spots.

I grew up in the hole in the wall steroid head type of gym. I didn’t want to find a hole in the wall, but I wanted the feeling of knowing I can lift heavy, be loud, and not worry about a “dress code” requiring me to wear sleeves. Powerhouse Gym of Thornton goes above and beyond my expectations. The care taken of the facility is excellence at minimum. The owners ACTUALLY care about each and every individual that walks through their doors. Also they make sure to staff folks with more between their ears than what they read on Instagram. I’ve looked at almost every gym in the Thornton area and THIS powerhouse is my gym until I leave the state. End of story.

(Update) canceled my membership in November. I was charged for November and December. Good thing I checked my bank account. Ill update this review if the fix it in a timely matter however right now Im pretty upset.

Love this gym and that it has a kids club now. The wife and I can get a great workout in while the kiddos are safe and sound with the kids club attendant (who they love!).

I tried out the free pass and was not a fan. I usually am a fan of smaller gyms like this one, but this one is too small.The equipment selection is poor and the couple of days I went, I spent more time waiting to get on a machine or use the free weights then I actually spent lifting.I also wasnt a fan of the pricing. Checked it out online and was interested in the gym but after actually speaking to the staff, they want you to pay all 12 months up front, so essentially, it would cost my girlfriend and I about $600+ to join the gym.Not a great amount of gym selection in the Thornton area but I would look elsewhere first.

First of all, the staff is always cheerful and inviting. When I come in the mornings I see the staff members cleaning the equipment and I see a cleaning crew some nights when I come in late night. I usually never have to wait for any equipment no matter what time I come in. It is 24 hours and you can even have access on Thanksgiving or Christmas to work off those holiday meals. I have been in and out of gyms in this area for about 20 years and this one by far is the best. I only pay $25 a month and get unlimited access. For $25 you could get 5 cheeseburgers or a whole month of paying for your health. If you live in the North Metro suburbs, you NEED to sign up here before you waste your time with any other gyms!!

This place is absolutely Amazing! The new owner really seems to care about his employees and more importantly the club memebers. Its rare to see an owner to take such passion and pride within his community, no wonder he tosses the trash when the standards are not being met. I look forward to seeing the new changes and the clean up he puts forth. More importantly, Im glad to have a place where I can train and feel welcomed without having pressure to buy and order unneeded assistance. Its so good to finally be leaving this gym in my rearview. I was a member here for 3 years, 6 months and I can tell you the majority of these positive reviews are from current and former employees aswell as their family and friends. Thats the equivalence of using your mother as a work reference, ofcourse shes going to say youre the best. I stayed as long as I did because my workout partners didnt want to leave but now theyve decided to venture off to new gyms and so thats my cue to leave.Ive seen this gym struggling for awhile and dont see it lasting much longer. The only reason this gym was successful was because of its location and lack of competition but that all changed last year when chuze fitness, Planet Fitness and youfit opened up in the area. Even the old Kmart is being turned into a Vasa Fitness and will be opening this summer. Theres a reason the old owner Sarah recently sold the gym. This new owner has no idea what he is doing, he bought a lemon and is only chasing away longterm members with his changes.What I hated most about this gym was the atmosphere. Lots of Drama spearheaded by the staff. People only coming here to find a boyfriend/girlfriend. Individuals more interested in making friends and small talk. Lots of Gossip and trash talking of members. I experienced more drama here than I did in college and I was in a fraternity. I was labeled an a**hole because I kept to myself, didnt participate in small talk and only socialized with select individuals who I worked out with.The only employees who were worth their weight in gold was Chris Maese, who doesnt work here anymore and Patrick Duffy.

This is a very good gym. Clean, friendly atmosphere, staff is great, knowledgeable trainers, and open 24 hours for convenience.

This gym is way undersized and some of the male staff harasses female members. If your looking to make gains this gym is not the place. If your looking for a social hour then this is your home. Equipment is not maintained and very little lifting equipment compared to cardio. There are also no amenities with this facility. Chooze fitness is cheaper and cleaner with more amenities,

This gym as tiny,overpopulated,and you have to wait for machines. Over priced compared to YOUFIT and the worst part is they barley offer classes. Found out after I signed my contract that the classes cost extra on top of the membership. Total rip off. They need to stop tryng so hard to get others to sign up with their gym. Its making the current ppl that attend annoyed.
