Set up a appointment and got a call an hour before to reschedule, not a big deal so we rescheduled for today Sat around and waited for 45 minutes for the call and never received it. Called again after they reopend asked what was going on they said sorry its on his schedule I dont know why he wouldnt call. Figured maybe they would try and make things right but they didnt how do you run a business when this is the first impression we get.

I love the care that they have given my Newborn and 10 year old so far. My only complaint is that at the two month old appointment I couldnt schedule his 4 month old appointment bc their calender wasnt out yet. I WAS TOLD THEY WOULD CALL TO SCHEDULE. Now when I called to make the appointment bc they forgot to call me, his 4 month appointment is now almost a 5 month appointment. They said they would put me on a cancelation list but at this point I cant count on that. Would have loved to know sooner rather than later if his weight is doing good and im feeding him appropriately or if the vaccines are being done in a timely manner.

We are so disappointed to be leaving this practice but after what happened recently we have no choice. After months of waiting to have our 4 year old daughter evaluated again for a hernia and possible tonsil surgery we finally had an appointment to get the go ahead so we could schedule with the surgeon. We arrived on a day with her and my 2 year old boy who also had an appointment. When inside the receptionist immediately grilled us about having COVID symptoms. I told her that no one had had any symptoms and no one was sick. When we went to fill out our paperwork my 2 year old boy let out one cough. She immediately summoned us over saying “did they just cough, did they just cough?!?” I said he had.. once. He wasn’t sick. She still proceeded to melt down and we were asked to leave and not return until everyone was fully symptom free. I passed their doctor, Dr. Brian Gablehouse, in the parking lot as we left and informed him and all he said was “yep”. Our boy has coughed on and off for over 10 weeks. Not because he’s sick, but due to another factor that everyone else I’ve encountered has been experiencing here in Colorado, in fact today it was on great display. The wildfires have been blanketing us with never ending smoke. My kids cough, I cough, a customer at my work coughed from the same thing and was worried I would freak out. I understand people have to be careful but to kick us out for one cough without considering any other possibility is wrong. My daughters actual important ongoing medical care was shoved aside for this. The surgeon has been calling wondering when we’re gonna get a move on for this. But we can’t go in because he might cough again seeing as the wildfires don’t appear to be ending any time soon. My wife wrote a long email to Dr Gablehouse asking why some other situation couldn’t be worked out. She asked me to wait and see what they said before I made any decision. I told her to let me know when he replied... which he never bothered to. When four weeks went by with no reply or solution to get our daughter care, I told her someone who cares that little shouldn’t be taking care of the most valuable thing on earth to us. She finally agreed. We will be looking elsewhere.

Seriously blown away at our visit today. We haven’t found a pediatric office that we’ve truly liked so we’ve moved around quite a bit. We have very healthy children so we usually only go for well visits but the last couple of places lectured us about the craziest things (our 18 month old drank too much milk, 36 ounces some days and they only want them to have 32 ounces) and they didn’t seem genuine at all. Both Sam and Jess at Peak Pediatrics we’re friendly, welcoming and very good with our kids. They made it fun for them and they were extremely patient. I would recommend this office in a heart beat!

Horrible phone service. I called to schedule my daughters for a new patient appointment she was able to confirm my info from my insurance. So I think cool we will get through this fast. Then for the next 17 minutes she proceeded to ask me all the information she just confirmed with me. She asked for MY social security number twice which makes no sense cause I wasnt going to be a patient. Then when we finally made it to schedule an appointment I asked for anytime after 11. She tried to confirm an appointment at 1030 so I repeated myself about after 11. Then she finds another appointment and I write it down just in time for her to say she cannot put me in that slot. Mind you I have two girls under two by this time my toddler is freaking out and she proceeds to ask me if I can call back when she isnt yelling.Absolutely horrible experience. Very rude lady. Never have I ever had to give all my info over the phone. Very inefficient. I will not be going to this doctor office.

We had an insurance switch over and they have been unable to get it straight and now are trying to charge us for what insurance owes them and WILL NOT see our kids until we either pay or set up a payment plan for something that was covered by insurance. We have twins and magically one was covered and one isn’t yet it’s our fault. They are both on the plan and it’s not our fault you can’t figure it out. Now our kids can’t get normally scheduled vaccines and check ups because their billing can’t get it right. On top of that, the receptionist makes you feel like a criminal even though it’s not our fault. Very rude. First thing she did today was shove the bill in my wife’s face before telling us they won’t see our kids until it’s resolved... we are switching immediately. It sucks because we like the Doctors, but the rest of the operation needs a MAJOR upgrade.

Does not support breastfeeding. Shortly after my daughter turned 1 Dr. Gablehouse referred to my breast milk as “breast water”. Denigrates the importance of breastfeeding after a certain age. They referred to it as “nutritively unnecessary” and completely ignore the other benefits of continuing to nurse a child. Clearly stuck in a 1950’s mentality around nursing. This time I am done. We used to love coming to see Dr Brian until my son had lost a pound and he ordered all sorts of testing and quite frankly put a scare into my husband and I. We were physically holding our son down to get blood (without success) and now hes terrified to go to the doc and hes only 1! To top it all off, they then billed me for the bloodwork which was never obtained and 4 vaccinations that we never got. We tried seeing another doc within that practice who didnt seem as concerned about the weight but suggested a finger prick to get blood. We got the blood, only to find out that they never actually ran the test! When I called to get more answers, no one will return my call...ive also had to follow up on every test performed instead of them calling with results. This used to be a good practice but has definitely gone downhill recently!

BE CAREFUL! I had my twins at Lutheran Medical and they were the pediatrics on call. My son was in the NICU and being treated by their clinic. I was impressed with Dr. Brian Gablehouse at first. We were sent home with my daughter as my son had to stay in the NICU for longer on oxygen. The doctors from Childrens hospital took over for the weekend and were so informative and kind so I expected the plan for my son to come home on that monday on oxygen would stay the same. My husband and I were at the NICU from 9 am to 5pm and never saw the doctor from Peak nor did our nurse. In fact, my husband and I brought our little girl in to their office for a wellness cheakc and ASKED about the prognosis of my son and they said they didnt know but the doctor would call us. They also failed to take the plastic umbilical clip off my daughter and being first time parents we didn’t know this was supposed to happen until we me our new pediatrician a week later, who said it was starting to get infected and didn’t understand why they didn’t remove the clip either. Around 6pm that night I called the office asking if the doctor had stopped by or what was going on because even the nursing staff had no clue why my son was not sent home on oxygen that day as he passed all of his tests to go home. The receptionist was rude and hung up on me and when one of the nurses FINALLY got a hold of Dr. Yadira Caraveo, she said she was there and assessed my son earlier that day but according to the nursing staff they NEVER saw her and she NEVER told them that she wanted my son to stay another night. When I spoke with her in front of the nursing staff she wsa rude and hurtful. As a new mother with one child in the NICU crying on the phone asking how my son was and why she hadnt called her response was I was going to get around to it I was just busy. Then she said well what do you want, do you just want to change providers because I am fine with that. Even the nurses in the NICU were surprised by how rude she was and had me file a complaint. Thank God for the wonderful nurses in the NICU, they directed me to a new pediatrician and I love them. Please be careful with this clinic! I never want another mom to go through what I did.

How would a nurse know the details of the appointment if Jessica was the doctor he seen. So going along with the fact I had to talk to a nurse instead, all this rude lady did was transfer me to a voicemail. WOW! Review №74

I will start by saying that the nurse & Nurse Practitioner (Jessica) that my daughter and I saw were both great - very friendly and knowledgeable. Jessica took the time to ask specific questions regarding my daughters illness and I really felt like she cared about her well-being. She wasnt like other pediatricians that my daughter has seen in the past, that spend a minute looking at her and saying shes fine and probably just teething or its just a cold, since come to find out, she had an ear infection. The only negative part of my experience here was the receptionist. My daughter and I were greeted by a nurse when we got there who asked us to sign in, then told us someone would be with us shortly. A few minutes later, the receptionist (Itzhelt) came in through a back door and sat down at her desk. She didnt once make eye contact with me or even acknowledge us. She then says, youre a new patient, right? No hello or hi, how are you? Not even eye contact when she finally spoke to us. She was staring at her computer, typing as she talked. I let her know that yes, we were new and she says, You need to fill these forms out first. This girl has no customer service skills whatsoever. Even a simple, How are you? Are you a new patient here? would have made a world of a difference. This girl is the first face you see upon entering the office. The face of the office. You would think it would be a requirement to have someone friendly working the front desk. I dont know if she was just having a bad day or if she just doesnt like her job, but your patients should not be aware of either. I am a nurse who works in a hospital & I deal with patients all the time - Ive had my sick days or not-so-great days, but I would never want a patient to pick up on that vibe. Its so unprofessional! When I was filling out the paperwork, my 20 month old was chatting away (more like baby talk), waving to the receptionist and again, this lady wouldnt even look at my daughter or wave back, say hi, nothing! It was a huge turn off. If youre working in a pediatricians office, you should be used to kids talking to you. She could have, at a minimum, faked it and pretended she likes kids for a second & just say hi back. I noticed she acted this way with another lady and her little girl (who was maybe 14 months old) - so thats when I realized it wasnt just me. I will be returning to this office only because Jessica & her nurse were awesome! I also liked that they offer a 20% discount when paying the bill in-full since I am self-pay (we are in the middle of getting new insurance through my new hospital, as we just moved here from the east coast). So that was a bonus! But the girl at the front desk either needs more training on customer-service and how to deal with people...or simply needs to be replaced. Overall, I do like it here a lot! The receptionist is the only reason I didnt give 5 stars.
