We have been with Dr. Yau since our son was born, and now our daughter sees him too. He is very thorough, kind, and communicates well. My kids are always comfortable coming here, and everyone on staff has always been very courteous. My son is still a toddler, but the receptionists act like we’ve been coming for 20 years. When it was just my son, I was always greeted with, “Hi, J! I’ll get you checked in.” Now that I have my daughter, I get, “Hi! Who do you have today? J or H?” It’s never more than 5 minutes after that before we are headed back to a room.

I am new to the area. Very friendly and prompt service from reception. Friendly and conscientious nurse. Dr. Powellson is very easy to talk to and takes time responding to all concerns. Glad I found this practice, and I highly recommend.

Seems like a great place from reviews, is taking new patients right now but only if your well. If your sick they cannot see you unless your an existing patient via telemedicine.

I’ve been coming here for years. Great doctors friendly. They take their time to talk to you and with Covid they now offer virtual conferences.

I have been a patient at the Woodlands Family practice for over 20 years and have always been treated like family and without a doubt I have one of the best Doctors in our area. This place needs to be closed! The person answering phones is clueless, doesn’t accept cash, then they do not offer virtual appointments during a pandemic! Are you kidding me what kind of place is this! Had a friend see people get some stuff off of side door seems like criminals work here!!!! No social distancing going on, no masks wearing, shoulder to shoulder people in the waiting room, coughing on each other disgusting!!! Never going back

Have been seeing Dr. Mabry for a few years now and has always worked with me to give me the best care. Front staff and nurses are also friendly!

This place is horrible. No social distancing, they don’t wear masks, it’s dirty, should be shut down! My child fell in urine in the dirty bathroom! Disgusting! Definitely won’t return!

This is a wonderful practice! Our son has seen Dr. Powellson since birth. He is very professional and kind, and he truly listens to your questions. We appreciate the family practice atmosphere instead of a large hospital, as you never feel rushed through your appointment or kept waiting for long periods of time. We cant say enough good things about this practice!

They lie to their employees and fire employees for having covid! They lie its a corrupt organization

Dr. Yau is a horrible communicator and doctor. overly risk adverse and office doesnt use email or and reminders.

I called to inquire what insurance this office excepted. The woman who answered was helpful and nice when I asked if they excepted Blue Cross Blue Shield PPO, but once I mentioned secondary Star Kids Medicaid (for a foster child) it was all downhill after that.She seemed a bit frustrated and explain they did not except that.I said, okay. Well what is the cost of the office visit for a child?She said, “We do not take cash patients.”Me- I explained, that wasn’t my question. I want to know the cost of the visit if I only use the BCBS plan?She said, “Well, you need to call your insurance company to find out what your deductible and coinsurance is, we don’t do that.”Me- Again, that wasn’t my question. I know what my deductible is and I have an HSA account to cover the cost, I just want to know how much the office visit will cost.With a big sigh,,, she says, “well it could be anything from $50 to $100.”Me- Okay, Thank you.The woman made me feel as if my business wasn’t wanted, because I had mentioned Medicaid (as secondary).I am very disappointed with the way she spoke to me.If you have the calls recorded, please listen to the conversation from today, 07/24/19 at 2:31pm, the call lasted 2 minutes.

My husband and I are new to the area and I wanted to find a primary care physician. I found Woodlands Family Prwctice and Im glad I did! Dr. Powellson is very thorough and has a wonderful bedside manner. The only downside is the office is somewhat difficult to find. Its nestled behind trees and my GPS said I arrived a quarter mile before I actually did! (Partially my fault for not looking hard enough :) )I definitely would recommend this practice!

Please have your office hours reflect your REAL office hours. Ive called three times this week before 5pm (today at 4:35) only to get a recording that says the office is closed. Unprofessional.

Really nice people at the front desk and Dr. Powellson is patient and very thorough.

This place does not accept cash patience. Thats ok I will take my money some place else!!!!!!
