Ive always wanted to try a place like this before and Im glad I did. The staff there were helpful and gave great advice for my first float. Theres a whole process for getting yourself ready and they explained it nicely. Once in the area where you shower before and after the float, the temperature was nice and warm. The pod itself was big enough to lay with arms and legs extended but Im only 58 so keep that in mind. The placement of the knobs for lights and music were easily accessible. Overall the experience was unique and Id try it again for sure. One solid piece of advice, the water will burn your skin on your face so be careful not to get it on your face. Another piece of advice, dont try to float face down, only bad times will occur.
My brother got me a Groupon for my birthday / finishing my program at school to de-stress. Never had this type of experience before, and it was very nice. You are escorted to your pod room where you shower off, then enter the pod. You have the choice of having the lights on/off and have music playing. I opted to float in the dark with the music playing, and it was very relaxing. I wish I fell asleep but I left very relaxed nonetheless.
As someone who has been to True Rest and to this place, I would pick this place first any day. Not only is the price much nicer but the experience does not reflect being cheaper. It’s clean, easy to make an appointment, the staff was very professional and courteous and the float was great. My fiancé and I had a much better experience here versus True Rest. Both of us felt rested and relaxed much more than previous floats. We would definitely recommend giving this place a shot for your next float!
Ive been floating for probably a period of 15 years. This has to be one of the best floats Ive ever had.I love the efficiency of the booking system. The facilities is well located. And the float stations are super clean and modern.Big thanks to Judd for getting me in and making my float session be seamless.I highly recommend anyone to float to get the benefits of a deep relaxing experience. Youll sleep better. Your nervous system will be at ease. And youll feel a sense of calm and peace.I would certainly be a member if I lived in Tempe. Go already! What are you waiting for?
It was dirty. The girl at the desk was not interested in explaining to this first time floater what the experience would be like. She basically put me in a room and said have at it. The speakers didn’t work so there was no music and no voice telling me when it would start or when it would end. And all it did was spin me around and slam my head into the wall over and over and over again. Not my idea of a relaxing or healing experience. My muscles were tense expecting the next head slam the whole entire time. I ended up leaving the pod early and when I told her that the music didn’t work and about my experience she just basically shrugged it off and said too bad have a good day. The vibe was horrible. Don’t do it.
I am a holistic health practitioner, and I started floating here in October 2020. Their fair pricing allowed me to float at least weekly vs once a month with True Rest, and the benefits to my health have been incredible. My back pain has gone way down, my physical and mental energy is up noticeable. Magnesium is amazing for health generally, and the more I have researched into floating the more I saw that science is behind it for many physical and even mental health issues like PTSD.Not only that, but their tanks are much larger with higher quality than the little pods at true rest. My claustrophobia doesnt exist like it did with the pods, and there is also an air flow mechanism that reduces sweat on my face.
Staff was plenty friendly and the facilities were clean. Pre and post Shower was nice but water in tank was tepid and a bit slimy and Bluetooth wasn’t working. Can’t honestly say I feel any different from before I went in. Found it Pretty hard to relax but Might just be me, I might just need something a little more intense.
Amazing experience. Excellent staff as well. Highly recommend giving it a try.
I have been floating for a long time at truwest flost spa till i found this place the float pod is HUGE!!! 5 by 7 when im in the pod i like to have it pitch dark no music during the float ill stretch my body semi move around during it and i meditate boy i go on fun adventures while floating im a multi dimensional dream walker and when i float im fully aware in meditate state and do whatever i want while floating and after i finish i journal my experience im glad i found this place i enjoy being able to float every day i suffer with cronic pain and ptsd and stress and floating every day has really helped me a ton way less stress not many depression days feel less pain and after i float my body musles are relaxed and not tense i also get myopratic done and the float relaxes my muscles he can do his work easier also today i fell asleep during it normally im on adventures but this time slept i felt more awake now bc of it main thing is the unlimited package is a great deal i normally in the past pay $60 a float and i float 2 times a month now i float every daythe owner is a great guy very nice the first day i found this place me and him had a great talk about floating and the other guy mike he is a dr he great to talk to about how floating helps he a great guy as well same with the other 2 who work here i also like the couch spot as well so come out here and float it will definitely help you as much it has helped me pl share your experience and when i see people here i tell them i enjoy it and strongly recommend the unlimited float also later on i definitely wanna do a overnight float whats nice about this place is i just pay an extra $15 per hour to float extra so please tell your friends so they can experience this place
This place would have five stars except for just one little thing. The last three times Ive been there, someone else went into the room that I had reserved online. A little bit annoying but besides that a very great establishment with the best prices in Arizona
Where do I start? Well the people that run this business are simply the best. Any issue or concern was throughly explained and they make you feel comfortable. I will say what they won’t, but you need to have at least three sessions under your belt in any float tank to receive the benefits. I can say this from experience as I am on my 200th float in 5 years since discovering the benefits of these tanks. I love Floatology choice of tanks because they are huge so no issues arise if you hate small spaces. They beat out the other competitors with their monthly prices and they soon will have 8 tanks in total so lots of room for new clients. I’ve been floating in LA, NYC, Dallas, Miami, and Seattle. Floatology has the beat price and tanks. If you want 2 hour sessions that’s available for a cheap price. True Rest is a smaller pod set up for way too much money. Please save your funds and get a mental health spa day with Floatology. You won’t regret it! Thank you Judd for always being accommodating at every turn. I hope they get another location and keep doing a monthly rate.
Me and my friend came for the first visit and the experience was amazing here 💯 probably the best and cheapest floatation place around tempe
Had a great experience! My first float was so relaxing! The staff is very helpful and not too personal. I like that they dont try to be too overly friendly. The place could definitely use some new paint on the inside walls.Overall definitely recommend going atleast once just to experience it.
I’ve been coming to Floatology for a few years. My account says Ive floated about 300 times, so I’d say I’ve got a lot of experience with Floatology and what they offer.First - the absolute BEST prices in town, by a long shot. Google their competitors. You’ll find that a monthly membership costs quite literally three times as much at competing businesses.Second - Nice staff, never overly salesy or pushy, but they are people who float themselves and know the benefits if you’d like to learnThird - Results. There are multiple reasons why people float. For some, it’s a meditative experience, even borderline psychedelic under the right circumstances. For others, it’s an anxiety releasing experience. For me, I am disabled and receive direct and measurable physical results from my float sessions. I have been sick for eight years and as a result of extensive nerve damage have worn out parts of my body unevenly causing repetitive strain issues, intense and complex contractions, and chronic pain. Floating with my arms above my head in a “surrender“ position allows me to elongate my spine and relax in a way that is not physically possible for me anywhere but in the float tank. It has given me joint relief, muscular relief, and nerve pain relief. I can literally feel my muscles releasing due to being in a weightless neutral position during my sessions.Initially I came to Floatology because I was waiting for a therapy pool. I know now that even with access to a therapy pool, i’d still float, because floating has given me physical benefits nothing else is able to. If you suffer from back pain, joint pain, arthritis, CRPS, and quite possibly a multitude of other conditions involving bones muscles or nerves, floating can provide you the ability to hold a neutral position in a weightless atmosphere and get some serious pain relief. The only negative thing I can say about this place is that they struggled a little bit getting their new pods up and running, because they did so well they decided to expand the business and double the number of pods. Occasionally it’s been a bit touch & go with the Bluetooth being reliable (people like to play their own music instead of the options provided) or one of the new tanks has given a bit of trouble and needed a repair. I believe these are just growing pains and the owner has been extremely kind and flexible with me. The one time (again, out of almost 300 visits) an issue arose on my float, the owner offered me generous compensation for the inconvenience. I mostly bring this up because I’d hate for anyone to have a one off bad experience and think it reflects on the business as a whole. If it sounds like I’m saying a lot about this place, I am. Not everyone is nice to disabled people, a lot of people think accommodating us is a pain. It’s hard for me to overstate how much they have done for my health and how they’ve gone above and beyond for *years* to be good to me. Floatology has always made a point to prioritize my accessibility - they have always been consistent with this and treated me better than most any other business I’ve ever dealt with in regards to accommodating disability. There is a handicapped accessible room and pod.If you have ever considered floating, give this place a try! A lot of the time they run a special for your first float, so check out Groupon. Just know, if you haven’t floated before it might take a couple float sessions for you to get the hang of it and really relax. After that you’ll start seeing the benefits.
Great experience floating here awesome staff and relaxed atmosphere. I look forward to floating here again soon. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
My husband and I came here for date night with a deal from Groupon. The facility is clean. Calm. Relaxing. If youve never floated before, it is a MUST DO!!!! Check out the deal on Groupon for a great rate. If you want to see footage of our experience, check out our YouTube channel (Harpers Journey) where we explained our awesome time here. The staff is kind. There is time after your float to relax on the lounge chairs. The entire ambiance and experience is SO relaxing. The staff walks you through the details in less than 2 minutes. You shower before and after the float. Everything you need is provided. Enjoy!!! Ps. Just for the record, you do not need a bathing suit!
Since coming to Floatology, I’ve noticed a positive change in my daily mindset. I feel much calmer and relaxed. I can’t even describe how amazing it is to float and the sensation of feeling completely weightless. It is truly the deepest meditation I’ve ever had. I would recommend anyone dealing with stress to come float. The facilities are so clean and the owner is always very helpful in answering all my questions. 10/10 would recommend for everyone!
Very relaxing, will be back. Bring earplugs if you dont want epsom salt water remaining in your ears afterwards
Great experience professional but laid back
Been going everyday using their monthly deal! Wow! my skin has improved tremendously as well as mental clarity. Clean place and friendly people.
Found this place on Groupon as I’m new to the area and it beat my expectations. It was clean, and the staff was professional. I will be coming back to sign up for a monthly membership. I have been floating for about a year and these prices are hard to beat!!
I absolutely love this place! Best float spa I’ve ever been to. Full float rooms, not just tanks or pods where you bump into the walls. Ideal for anyone but especially if you’re a taller/bigger person. Great people running this float studio as well, and incredibly low prices. Significantly cheaper and better quality than True Rest in my opinion. Happy floating!
The absolute best thing that has happened to Tempe. Being brand new to floating, I had no idea what to expect, loved it so much, Im now a member. Its something one must actually experience themselves to fully understand how heathy and relaxing this really is for the entire body. The benefits are both physically and mentally. The more you do it, the better it gets and the positive effects are cumulative. The place is neatly arranged and easy access. Elevator available for those that are not able to do stairs. I love how they even have an area designated to just sit and relax before/after your float. All you need to bring is a comb/brush, everything else you need is provided. They are extremely helpful to explain the whole process for new clients. Highly encourage everyone that reads this to dont hesitate going in for a float ASAP. Youll wish you knew about floating sooner. Added bonus, the prices to float at this place are by far, the best you can get. The owner absolutely has a true passion in helping out others that want to do something healthy for themselves to feel well everyday.
Floatology is the best there is when it comes to salt water, sensory deprivation tanks. Their float rooms are very spacious, which adds to the already luxurious experience theyve created. You can rest assured, whether youre a beginner or youre experienced, that your visit at Floatology will be everything youd hoped itd be!
A totally unique experience! Ive been wanting to try it for a long time, finally made an appointment... and Ill definitely go again! I enjoyed Michaels enthusiasm for this treatment modality, and the facility is first-class. For first-timers: read the information online, arrive a little early for orientation, and enjoy the feeling as your body and mind settle in for some serious relaxation. I anticipate my second float will be even better, now that I know what to expect.
I had an amazing floating experience at Floatology! The staff was very helpful and accommodating for me and my girlfriend! They have a very calm relaxing area with tea and water before you float. The floating room has a high ceiling which makes a big difference from other floating experiences in the past! Floating has amazing physical and mental benefits and feel incredibly calm after each and every float.I would highly recommend Floatology for anyone looking to improve their overall well-being!
The place was not clean
My colleague introduced me to Floating and says this is the best spot in Phoenix; he was right. Michael the owner is very knowledgable and is happy to explain how floating can change your life (perks and technical details). The facilities are extremely clean, the prices are the actual cheapest in Phoenix and I love the hot tea before/ or after the float. Definitely will come back and recommend. Thanks Michael!
If I could add another star I would. Having been a former True Rest Floater, I realized I was spending upwards of $60 dollars per session, having to drive to far away locations, and being overall unsatisfied for that price. Enter Floatology, where the location is perfect for the college student or transitioning 9-5 adult. The staff are extremely accommodating. They are also very knowledgeable in the science of floating. It just goes to show that good service and the customer-staff relationship goes far. After my first float here I was instantly hooked. The large amount of amenities and high tech float rooms make it very enjoyable.I highly recommend purchasing the unlimited membership as it is priced very affordably for the casual floater.
This was my first float experience and I am definitely going back for another. Amazing facilities, kind staff and overall a great experience. I would highly recommend to anyone thinking about going for their first time or if youre a seasoned floater.
This was an experience I will always remember. I was a bit nervous at first... But Mike(the owner) was very reassuring and eased my anxiety.. During my time in the tank, I felt a new sense of enlightenment. All of my reoccurring negative thoughts vanished and I was able to finally reach a steady and calm state. After my session was over, I was shocked at my results. I felt like a new person. Body and mind felt restored. I highly recommend and will be returning often...
I have gone from curious first timer to having a membership and floating multiple times a week. The people, tanks , and price make this place an easy recommendation to anyone looking to try or make a habit out of floating. The staff goes out of there way to ensure you get the most out of your experience in the tank. The tanks are comfortable and roomy. The price is much more affordable than most float spas in the surrounding area.
An absolutely breathtaking experience. I have never felt more at ease after my float session. I would recommend it to anyone and I will definitely be returning for future sessions. The employees working there were extremely helpful and friendly with answering all my questions. 10/10.
Really enjoyed my experience floating!! It was super easy to relax for the hour. The rooms were really clean and it was nice that the float rooms are very open. I didn’t feel claustrophobic at all and would 100% recommend
I’m a Life Coach and I would refer almost all of my clients to float. It’s transformational.I think that everyone should float. In 2001 I broke my neck and back in 6 places. This helps. It also is an amazing opportunity for meditation. Do it. Don’t wait.Matt, the manager is really knowledgeable and helpful.
Perfect place to relax your body and mind. Staff is great, friendly and extremely informative, which made me feel comfortable throughout the experience. One 60 min float session only made me want for more, left the place feeling refreshed and relaxed. Definitely something to add to my weekly routine, extremely worth it!
You get what you pay for
One of my friends recommended this place to me and I loved it! Was super nervous at first but once I got in and actually relaxed it was amazing! Afterwards I felt super relaxed and refreshed, both physically and mentally! Definitely coming back and recommending this place to all my friends!!!
Great up and coming spot offering a comfortable float experience at a very reasonable cost. The tanks are larger and more spacious and it has a seamless layout. The rooms are still being tuned up a bit with decor, very excited to how it turns out !
Im so excited that Floatology opened right down the street from my condo in the Cornerstone Shopping Center in the heart of Tempe near ASU. They have full-sized float tanks and offer $35 Monthly Memberships. If youre a habitual floater, you need to check out this Float Center and if youre brand new to floating, this is a great place to try your first float!
Floatology has the absolute best float tanks in the Phoenix area—fundamentally different than a pod. The staff is awesome and went out of their way to make sure I had a sublime experience. If you are a first time floater, this is definitely where you want to go.
I went for the first time last night, and instantly felt more relaxed. I can already tell a difference in my mood! I would definitely recommend this place to all my friends and cannot wait to go back!
This was my first float. Im still processing this first experience. The float room is a 5x8x8 high space. Im over 6 foot, so being able to lie flat without touching the side is fantastic. The 8 foot dimension actually allowed for me to stretch my arms above my head. The private shower room is wonderful. You are provided an overabundance of towels and cleaning supplies. The staff is alert and friendly, and goes out off their way to explain how to go about the whole process.I half wish I had hooked up some music on advance. The complete silence was nice, but a bit unnerving. Time passed quickly though. The COMPLETE darkness was also a rare experience. While somewhat disorienting, it facilitates the surrender into relaxation. In the right mindset, this is a wonderful easy to relax and pamper yourself. We all float down here and love it.
Great place to go and experience what the new frontier is for mediation. Always feel better when I leave and it keeps me coming back. Unleashed a new sense of relaxation I’ve never felt before.
That was an awesome relaxing experience! From the moment I walked in and was greeted, shown around and had everything explained to the very end with a space to relax and have Mushroom Coffee! It was a phenomenal way to unwind and soak sore, tired muscles! Good for my body and soul. I even fell asleep in the tank I was so relaxed! Definitely thumbs up!
They use Superior float rooms at this location that are great quality and very spacious. Great climate control, no humidity and great filtration for cleanliness. Great place to float for a low price! 👋👍.
Very Clean. New but welcomed experience.
My experience here was incredible!! Amazing staff and quality facilities. Felt right at home and the float therapy was crazy good!! Will be returning soon
I experienced my first float ever about 2 weeks ago. I was immediately impressed with the warm and gracious attitude the minute I walked in the door. The owner was waiting for me and knew me by name. The facility is lovely clean and comfortable. The staff is gracious and friendly. A rare find these days!I wasnt quite sure what to expect but I did know it would be relaxing, soothing, and comforting. I had no idea that it would also help in reducing my pain levels substantially. After just that one float I noticed I was able to move nerve damaged fingers on my left hand that had not responded beforehand. My pain in the arm had reduced by at least 30%. Yesterday I had my second float and the experience whats even better. My mind was able to drift free, my imagination was able to run wild on exquisite Adventures. I was blissfully relaxed. Today my head is more clear and my thinking is sharper. I can concentrate better and focus better. Im greatly looking forward to my future floats, and will update as new and wonderful changes take place in my body and my health. I am curious though as to whether anyone else may have experienced anything like this,... it would be good to know if my experience was normal or if I am an exception. Your feedback would be greatly appreciated. Thank you
This is a whole new way of floating. Other places I have been too have old tanks where I have found myself claustrophobic. Floatology has actual rooms for taller people like myself. I loved the entire experience and will keep coming back for future floats because of their unique rooms, privacy and great pricing.
Mike, the owner is really amazing. He is very into his business and his passion shows in his service. I highly recommend going to Floatology. Floating is very relaxing, I left feeling great, and you cant beat Floatologys prices.
I had an absolutely amazing experience. Astoundingly clean tanks at an affordable price! Great customer service too! I will be returning for my next float soon!
Super clean, huge tanks to float in. Probably the most relaxing experience Ive ever had. Very nice & helpful employees. Great experience overall, will be back often.
Such a great place. The staff is very hospitable and the facility is very neat and clean. I plan to start a membership and Im going to try and float 1 to 2 times per month. You cant manipulate the experience of floating. Unless you go into space one day .
As a first time floater, I have to confess I was a little nervous about this. After my first experience I was hooked. The free float did wonders on those aches and pains I experience on a day to day basis and I left the tank refreshed and ready to take on the day. I just did my second float today and it was even better. Signed up for a membership because the pricing is so good! I can get 3 floats for the cost of one massage! If your looking for a new way to relax, you cant go wrong here!
Its been on my list for a while now to try floatation therapy. I considered visiting True Rest, but the pods look a bit too claustrophobic for my tastes. I came across Floatology and liked that it seemed like something I could better handle. You get your own room with changing area, shower, and, yes, your float area. The float area is enclosed, but its more of a small room as opposed to a pod. I was, indeed, able to float, but at first it felt strange for me to have my head completely unsupported, so I thought I would emerge from my float with neck pain! A float is supposed to make you feel relaxed! I suggested the addition of some sort of headrest/head pillow, and sure enough, I was told such devices have been ordered! I think the addition of a pillow would make a huge difference in my next float, so Ill definitely give this another try!
Great place and staff. Hope they are able to reopen soon.
Awesome Experience!!! Really a cool feeling to be sensory deprived ( or atleast as close to it as possible). Enjoyed the full hour but wished I did longer. Will be back soon
This was my first time floating and it was excellent! Ever since listening to Joe Rogans podcast, I have been curious about experiencing it for myself. My only regret was that I have not tried floating sooner! The first few minutes, I was freaking out because of my anxiety, but by the end of the session, I was totally relaxed and mellow. The concept of floating is that once you eliminate all of your senses, your chaotic thoughts will just melt away. I would almost compare the peace of mind I achieved to something similar after a focused and meditative yoga class (still different though).Another cool thing I noticed is that my joints had time to relax. You truly do feel weightless as you float in these tanks. You literally do not have to put any effort into keeping your body afloat. Weightlessness like this is something that I imagine you can only experience in space. If you have ever been curious about floating, just go and do it! Floatology is ultra clean and centrally located. The prices are reasonable, from what I have researched. Also, based on my independent research, their float tanks are some of the most up to date ones on the market. You literally get to float inside an entire room instead of a pod, which helped me not feel claustrophobic.Nothing I say can capture the true peace you feel after a float. Just go experience it for yourself!
I found my floating experience at Floatology to be very tranquil. As an extremely claustrophobic person, I was concerned, but the spaciousness and serenity of the tanks relieved all tension. I enjoyed the experience immensely and plan to continue on a regular basis!
Sensory deprivation is such an awesome experience. Its extremely helpful if you are having any alignment/soreness issues. Not to mention how relaxing it is for your mind. Highest quality float tanks with the best price point Ive seen.
Really enjoyed my first float experience here. I can see why Sensory deprivation can be beneficial. The feeling of weightlessness literally takes the weight off of your shoulders for those 60 minutes. Just make sure you keep your ears out of the water. I didnt and I still feel like my ears are plugged a week later lol
I’m pretty severely disabled, and I called in to Floatology to see if I could even use the facilities. Mike, the owner, talked to me personally. He was so nice to me, and has honestly been really awesome to me ever since I signed up. He was gracious when I tried to make sure I could use the accessible room. He always makes sure to clear the accessible room for me on the schedule if it isn’t booked by another disabled person. Yes, this is accessibility law, but pretty much no one ever abides by it and looks out for us. Mike always takes care of me and I’m genuinely touched that he (and the staff he has) has been so kind and flexible making sure I can get help. I don’t have access to warm water pools in the winter so this is a HUGE difference for me in quality of life. I would recommend patronizing them in part just because they’re good people who go out of their way to take care of vulnerable people. On to the facilities: I only ever use the one room because it’s accessible. It’s always clean and nice, there’s always tea, water, clean towels etc.A little con: make sure to ask for earplugs if you use them, they have them but they sometimes don’t have them out so just ask. Also, I personally don’t like to put my bare feet on any tile floors anywhere, so I have rubber flip flops to use on the shower area. I would recommend anyone bring those for the same reason you’d bring them to the gym. They clean between every use and the place looks very clean, but it’s my personal preference to not have bare feet on tile, so I recommend bringing flip flops. It’s maybe the only thing I can think of that would improve the float.Overall I’m really grateful for their business. They give floats at a very reasonable price. It’s a bit less of an extreme “spa” atmosphere of maybe say TruRest, but it’s the same float experience (bigger pod) and it’s around half the price. I couldn’t afford to float at the other place anymore and I’m so lucky I found Floatology. I’d recommend anyone give it a try
I went there for the first time and I was pleasently surprised by how much I loved it! It was very relaxing and just what I needed! Cant wait to go back again!
I had a wonderfully relaxing time in my float session. The time just flew by. Floating area was clean and comfortable, and the staff was very warm and welcoming.
The price is right! What an easy way to get to float. Nice clean place. Happy its finally here and open!
Im very grateful for the presents of Floatology. Yesterday, I had an amazing float! Im excited with how affordable they are, along with great customer service. :)
First time doing anything like this and it was soooo relaxing! Also, the owner is very nice!! I plan on going again soon (:
Floatology is a very well kept facility, and the owner is very passionate about his work. Would definitely recommend for everyone to try it at least once and see if its for you!
Works great on my back pain!
Been floating a number of years, and their tanks are easily the best I’ve been in. Best priced as well. The staff and atmosphere is super chill, I’ll definitely be back soon!
I had a great time floating here the other night! Im an experienced floater and this place is top notch !
Amazing! Very relaxing and loved the staff and owner! Would recommend to all family and friends.
First time trying sensory deprivation. Twas an Amazing experience. I feel like a new man
Highly recommend for anyone to try! So relaxing and a very nice facility!
Floatology is my new favorite place! I love the environment, the people, and the overall health benefits that come along with floating.
Floating is fun, their service is always great, and it actually relieves aches and pains. However, I feel $45.00 is a bit steep for the non-member price.
Loved the float! Great experience, well worth the money
Very relaxing! Away from it all.
This was my first time at a float spa, overall amazing!!
So relaxing. Love these guys.
Im a huge fan of the tanks they have here. Im 61 so appreciate the extra space to stretch out in.
Awesome float. Thanks!
These clowns are a joke .would waist any money there
10/10 experience you have to check it out!
Amazing experience!
