Conditions of the women’s bathroom on a Monday before students arrive.🤢🤮 mind you no one comes in on sundays so it was probably left this way for a while 🥴 Not only does this school Clearly not care about cleanliness During the time of COVID but it does not care to cater to students several times we are out of items and they do nothing about it. Some of the staff have even displayed prejudice behavior against black/brown students. I could go on and on but please do not attend this school!!! Find somewhere better for your own good and success!

I recently came in for a facial service, fill-in, and pedicure and I absolutely loved it! Had such a great soothing experience, Zane’e took such great care of me. Definitely make sure to ask for her. The environment was very welcoming. Everything was sanitized as well as the area. The products felt so amazing on my skin, and I was so relaxed I could go to sleep! She’s very gentle and past great attention to detail. I have never experienced anything better than this!

Simply impeccable. That is the only way I can describe my experience at the academy. I was fortunate enough to be blessed with a young barber by the name of “Marquis”, needless to say my time was quite valued. He assisted me with great service while providing the exact haircut I asked for. His technique is very advanced for someone still in school, I was very impressed. Don’t be afraid to give this place a chance, ask for Marquis too!

Just moved to the Tampa Bay Area and wasn’t too sure where to get my hair cut. I came across the academy during a drive after work and was honored to meet Marquis Gethers. This has been one of the best experiences for me, marquis gethers is a very kind and talented man. I’ve been wanting to dye my hair and didn’t know where to go or where to start. So I gave him a shot though it was risky because it was his first time doing such a procedure with hair. I gave him trust and he hit it out the park ! I love my hair now , it’s amazing and I get so many compliments for it. I went to Artistic to get an ingrown hair removed before a wedding. I received a facial from Natasha and she did an amazing job. She was so gentle and professional. She ever brought out a zapper machine to help the bump from the ingrown hair heal. I will definitely be going visiting artistic again in the near future.

I went here for a massage. I had Holly, and she was amazing!!I love deep pressure and she hit every pressure point. Ive been a customer at Artistic Nails & Beauty Academy for over 14 years. Today I had the pleasure of getting my hair done by Torey Fellows. I received a full color, deep conditioning, blow dry and flat iron. Torey Fellows is very knowledgeable about the hair care, color, and design for my hair. Shes very quick in flat ironing my hair. ...I have a lot of hair but not a problem for Torey! I love the end result color and style! I highly recommend Torey Fellows. I had a facial and my nails done by Natasha. She works tediously on her work, ensuring my nails were healthy and what I wanted. I never understood the importance of cleansing my face until she educated me on it. I’ve learned more about the type of skin I have, what what products are best to use for my oily skin. I highly recommend her! She’s very educated on her work and passionate about what she does.

I appreciated her thoroughness and how she walked me through each service ahead of time. I had a deluxe facial with the paraffin mask, back facial, microdermabrasion, waxing, and a lash lift done by her. I highly recommend asking for her when you visit!

Maureen gave me a massage last night, and she really did a great job. I was very impressed. Shes professional, kind and welcoming. I have been going to this school for services for over 10 years and never had any problems nor complaints. The receptionist is really awesome too. She has been there for many years also. I just want to send a HUGE shout out and thank you to Artistic Nails & Beauty Academy!!! They have been such a blessing to us. I work with an inpatient treatment center in Riverview. I am able to bring my ladies who have been through hell and back to them and the staff, especially Ms Rose, treat them like queens. These ladies come out of human trafficking, homelessness and severe isolation due to addiction. Ms Rose, the instructors, Program Director and all of the students show them nothing but love and respect! The ladies love to go and feel amazing when they leave!! Thank you for all that you do! Ms. Rosie is the most professional and honest person at this location. Ive been going to this location for over 10 years and she has always been honest. She is the reason this location is thriving!Also, Angela (Ang is what I call her) and Mrs. D are the best stylist, I will definitely be a client once they are done with school. I had my hair colored by Miss Denika who is such a great lady she made my visit here nothing but laughters and her personality is so awesome and it came out really beautiful. I am really going to miss her once she graduates. But we will keep in touch. Also my two girls went to school here and my son is about to go to school here I’m hoping but no matter what time or when I come my hair always comes out beautiful and they make me feel at home so if you are up for getting a massage or your nails done I recommend this place. Alexiss skill level and techniques were unmatched compared to other massages i received in different locations. I will definitely be coming back. I had services done with Barbara Riveria who is a student at this Academy. Barbara greeted me with a smile, communication all the steps that where given during the facial, answered all my questions, explained further treatment for my skin, encouraged me to wax my underarms (which I am sooo happy with), and she made sure I was comfortable throughout the whole process. I loved her energy, professionalism, and cleanliness! She is definitely going to make it far in her career and I look forward to going back to her for all my services. Marissa invited me in for a facial. And let me tell you, it was such a relaxed and peaceful experience, especially after an entire morning of clinicals! I really enjoyed the experience. My experience on March 27 Saturday evening my child was getting her done the lady the close start shutting the lights off when she did not want to wait at least 10 minutes before my daughter was finished with her hair and it was unUnprofessional she had attitude she was inappropriate to allow clients to see her act out in a timely manner it was okay for the students to keep apologizing to us as customers and yes I have visited the Tampa location numbers occasions and I have sent over number the clients to the place. The person that close on Saturday was so poor in her professionalism she was not apologetic my child had to get her hair done outside on the sidewalk it was scorching hot and the student was apologizing that she had to do her hair done outside it was very rude of the lady she said she has people to see and she was not going to wait no longer and it wasnt even 4:30 I paid very high amount of money to get my child hair done and air condition not outside and I believe because I get my nails done the nail tech does know me and the lady thats over the nail school politely kept saying she is a customer that keeps repeating me coming back and I get my nails done twice in the month and they are fabulous on the nails. but the person Saturday has no professionalism very poor quality in that area and I think they need to prep the young lady that shes never to act out in front of a customer least wait 5 minutes until after the customer leave the building before lights off why a customer is in the building before you start acting out or saying inappropriate words it speaks professionalism at all times you are serving the public its respect and respect for others that that you do not allow your professionalism to go down and poor quality because you are a school and you represent the community we come to you guys and you are to teach our kids how to be professionalism and if you grown ups cannot treat your customers with professionalism it says a lot about your character and I think that was very rude and disrespectful and she does need to apologize to the client I love Miss Rosa shes very professionalism in the front desk she has very quality speaking you understand her very well and she gets every customer through there as fast as possible and you not waiting too long to get whatever you need done.

Ive been coming here with my family during these trying times and safety is very apparent. With distance protocols enforced along with wearing masks. My daughters have had their hair done and the value is great. Ive had my hair cut by Bruce Bazile his skills are second to none.His professionalism is shown through his care of clients. If you are looking for a barber for all ages and hair types hes the best.

Deshawn Pitt was an amazing barber with really good qualities. Hes professional, passionate and strives for the best customer service possible. He cuts a mean fade so I would definitely recommend him.

I highly recommend going here if you’re in need of a haircut or any cosmetic needs. The barber Kayla hooked me up with a real dye haircut and I saw other student barbers actually doing some great work with their clients. I will definitely be coming back for my future haircuts.

My wife (Jennifer) and daughter (Bailey) visited several times last week to the Lakeland branch for a facial, manicure and hair style. They had a great visit with Imagine Harris (facial), Ester (facial), Karen (hair) and Rebecca (nails). They took extra great care and were very confident in their skills. They seemed to not need much instruction from the teachers. They are very polite and made great meaningful conversation. We are going to recommend all 4 of them to our friends and family. They really seemed to enjoy what they do.

I returned to this school for their $2 Tuesday/Thursday haircuts after a four year hiatus. The school is clean and well kept and during Covid there is proper social distancing in between work stations. Antwon S did a great cut on me and I always ask for him. He is very professional, gets my bald head very close with clippers as I cannot use razor or electric shavers and he works efficiently. Antwon has a very easy going personality and I would definitely support him at a shop once he graduates. Consider tipping your stylists as the fees go to the school.

Denika H. was the best student I ever had work on my hair. She has great communication and rapport with the clientele. Her attention to detail makes sure you walk out feeling like a million bucks! She’s a star!!!

Came here for hair color, wrong color,In 3days the color came out, students are not wearing professional clothes. A female student was wearing shorts showing everything, another one kissing & hugging each other like they were in a park. Students are not being supervised while they practicing on someone/ clients.The receptionist screaming & mad because she need it to clean the garbage 🗑 can, bathroom arent being clean properly. I’ve had acrylic and overlay nails done as well as a facial and “back facial” and I have to say the students are very well trained and multi-talented! $5 for a facial and $2 for a haircut is a bargain! Tiffany Orellano has magical hands for both nails and facials, and is very professional in demeanor and technique.

I got my hair done by Dashawn he did a great job. He did a silk press it was so beautiful an quick didn’t take long.

My massage therapist was nice and polite she thank me for coming. She Gave me pointers on what to do after my massage. Great communication skills we had a nice conversation afterwards about what’s going to happen next time we meet for a massage. I feel great after my massage 🪐☄️

So this school is a little cheaper than most and I can tell why. I’m in my third week and I can not wait to get out of the awful school. There is zero structure and zero communication. It’s a “learn at your own pace” environment which means pretty much teach yourself or learn from other students. My first day I walked around like a lost puppy because I wasn’t instructed at all I know by now in my third week that that’s just how this school works. You have to beg to be taught anything. There is only one instructor for several students so she just doesn’t have time for all of us. We are all mixed in to the same class and all on different levels which makes things extremely odd. I’m worried about not having enough education when I leave here. Today my instructor is absent and no one has been in to inform us of that or if another instructor is coming in. We had to find out this information from other students. It is literally a joke. Save your money and go somewhere better. I wish that I would have because this school does not set their students up for success what so ever. Literally the BIGGEST joke. I feel robbed. Also, I still have not received my make up kit that I paid for or my other two uniform shirts. When I got here they didn’t even have my book for me I had to use the teachers for the first week. The only thing that makes this school better are the other students because we all sort of learn on each other. I honestly feel like we all deserve more than this it’s almost heart breaking seeing everyone work towards their future while given so little.***UPDATE!!!! I am updating this review because the school deserves it. It is now 12/20/2020. I have received my license and have a new job as a lash stylist. After I posted this review I was approached about it IMMEDIATELY. I was assured that things would change AND THEY DID! There was more hands on learning as well as classroom lectures. There was an organized criteria and way better communication. Basically, the school did a 360 to meet my needs and I was extremely thankful for that. I came out educated and ready to tackle the world. Because of that Ive been successful in my field. I hope that it stays that way so that everyone can say the same. Thank you so much for helping me with my future.

I have been going to Artistic Nail & Beauty Academy for several years now. I have used the haircutting, facial, waxing, mani & pedi services and have never been disappointed. They are always very professional and clean. My latest experience with Mariane Williams (my nail tech) was terrific. I wasnt sure what I wanted exactly and she took the time to explain my options and together we decided what she would do. She did acrylic overlay with ombre color. Mariane was meticulous and worked quickly. My only regret is that she will be located in Lutz after graduation. Good Luck Mariane, Im sure you will do well.

I have visited the tampa school several times to get a pedicure and have been lucky to get the same student Alanis this student is very well taught and very polite the service was excelent she tried several new technique and the outcome was great ..please let Alanis know to keep up the great work and look into teaching in the future...good job to the teachers ...
