Dr. Popat is awesome and really attentive to all voiced concerns and you can tell he really cares about his patients, as he took the time to really explain my condition and go through a variety of recommendations in detail. The staff is also really great and courteous. The only reason I gave 4 stars is that I have been going back and forth for 8 months now on a bill that my insurance has said they already paid, but it keeps getting sent to me despite the fact that I have been on the phone many times and have even had my insurance provider on the phone with them as well to let them know that I do not owe this money. The staff I have talked to on the phone have been very kind and understanding and have worked with me so that has been great, but there just seems to be a communication error after every call between the person I speak to and whoever processes billing, since I end up just getting sent a bill again after every call with no explanation.

Went in for a cardio appointment after being in the ER with chest pains. The doctor did no physical exam, did not listen to my heart and spent less than 5 minutes with me. I do not plan to return and would not recommend this doctor based on my experience.

Dr Popat is a great doctor. He is ready to listen to you, is very prompt and does not seem rushed.. He will order the proper tests that you need to check on your health and keep you healthy. I am truly blessed to be a patient of his. I must travel a distance to see him but it is well worth the drive to get the care I need. His staff is also very nice , courteous and are very helpful. Having had two appointments with him, I can easily say that he lived up to the incredible things written about him. He explained everything is great detail, really cared about my overall health, and suggested I visit his repository of patient information on his website providing recommendations about a healthier lifestyle. I also felt completely at ease talking to him and did not feel I was rushed. Dr. Popat definitely sets a high standard for the medical community here in Tampa.

I was scheduled for a new patient appointment and 35 minutes after arriving I still had not been acknowledged or checked in. I signed in, but was never called to provide my insurance info or complete new patient paperwork. I went to the front desk and asked if there was paperwork, the woman looked at me and called another patient to the window. I crossed my name off the list and left.

Dr. Popat has been very helpful to me. I was looking for a young smart up-to-date cardiologist to grow old with and he fit the bill perfectly! Went to him initially for an irregular heartbeat during a carotid artery scan. He diagnosed the anomaly as just that and not a problem. Additionally I consulted him about leg circulation and he removed a large vein in my leg completely painlessly! Hes got a great bedside manner in that he explains everything in common language so you can understand what hes talking about. Additionally hes got me transitioning to a much more healthy diet to get me off my blood pressure medicine and cholesterol medicine. BTW, you need to know that his staff ois great at getting you approved for Repatha when noone else can do it! That medicine is expensive but effective. My cholesterold was as high as 325 previously because I cant take statins and now its 111 total on Repatha! Incredible! Go to see him, since it may be the best decision of your life!
